First of all, don't be misled by my four star review - this is obviously not a "four star" hotel.  That being said, for a motel, this place was very nice.  The rooms were very clean and had recently been renovated so they were actually kind of pretty and modern (no hideous, dirty, tattered floral print bedspreads in sight, hooray!).  The bathroom was small but clean, and the water pressure in the shower was decent, although the shower head was a little low, so I had to bend over to wash my hair (I'm 5'7").  The room came with a fridge and microwave, which was nice, especially since we went out to dinner one night and were actually able to bring home our leftovers.  They made a tasty snack the next day.

The woman at the front desk was very friendly.  The breakfast was so-so (typical juice, muffins, fruit, cereal, as well as a waffle bar which sounded more impressive than it actually was).  Reading reviews of this place on other web sites I found that a lot of people complained about highway noise, since the hotel is right off the 15, but I didn't find that to be a problem.  Then again, at home my boyfriend and I live about a block away from the freeway, so maybe we just don't hear highway noise anymore.

They're doing some sort of construction in the back part of the parking lot, so parking is a little hairy.  There are plenty of spaces, but there might not be plenty of spaces near your room.

Obviously, the price was right.  Average is about $80/night.  Not bad!

This is a great choice in Temecula- the price is right and you don't have to deal with a) casino crowds or prices 2) old town rodeway inn prices or the nasty rooms 3) b & b's.  The only real downside here (other than it's not 'posh' and doesn't have the adjacent or attached nightlife that the casino does or that downtown does) is finding it from the highway and Old Town if you are not that familiar with the area.  Do not rely on Yahoo maps!  We tried that (and yes we'd been wine tasting) and it was hard to find from the Yahoo maps directions.  GPS it or make sure you know how to get there BEFORE your wine tasting trip.  Better yet, if you are going to the casino, leave your car there and cab it over to the casino.  Very reasonable rates and very comfortable room.  There was more noise at the Rodeway Inn-  more expensive than this, but much less comfortable and cheesy, for a group of four drunkst thirty somethings. Fortunately the drunkst state I experienced at the end of the evening when I crashed out @ Rodeway Inn, makes me forget that experience.  This place is a saving grace and I'd highly recommend it and stay here again.  Also there aren't too many restaurants right near here, except for fast food and maybe a truck stop type place, so it's a drive back to Old Town, so if you're staying here-- have a game plan for dinner- venture over to Winchester east of the 15, or go to the 79 - east of the 15-- both have many mini malls with options for dining, or Old Town, which is the closest.
