I stay in this hotel for weeks at a time every winter for work and doubt that you will find a better value. It is literally a 5 minute walk to the terminal at the airport which is very convenient. The area is very quiet and relaxing. One of the best things about it is the people who run it. Pat, Hanna and their family are wonderfully gracious and always accommodating. The prices are very reasonable. They have a nice continental breakfast that always hits the spot.
I will agree with other reviewers about not having air conditioning in the summer, but they will give you a fan to put in your room that will do a very good job of cooling it down. I always get a room on the top floor because it is much quieter. The one thing that I will have to agree with, unfortunately, is the wireless service. I probably stay in 50 or more hotels a year and the service here is pretty poor. If the hotel isn't crowded it usually isn't that bad. I travel with a wireless card from my employer, so it really isn't much of an issue.
If you are looking for a great value in Monterey, I highly suggest that you go see Pat and Hanna. They will take good care of you. -

I travel a lot and grew up in the Monterey area. This hotel is well priced. Its a bid older looking but it was not dirty. Great breakfast and terrific location.

I have stayed here many times on buisiness. Great hotel for a Inn type, lower class hotel. I usually don't stay at Comfort Inn's but because this was so close to where I was working, I tryed it. Very nice rooms, comfortable beds, nice spacious bathrooms, most units have two sinks one inside and out of the shower area. Nice for his and her moments. FREE internet service which is always expected I think these days and the Restaurant that is next door on the property is wonderful, awesome bar! The rooms are always spic and span, and ready to go upon check in. I only thing that could be better is a better source of heating the room. Tend to be cold in winter. Also, they dont offer HBO or a movie channel which, these days, are rare and little cheap.

Great hotel for the price! My husband and I wanted to get away for a couple of days on the cheap after Christmas. We were pleasantly surprised by this upscale motel. Comfy bed, clean, HUGE bathroom, nice continental breakfast. There's nothing luxurious about it, but it's a nice home base to tour around Monterey if you're not looking for any frills.

Well its a comfort inn.. but this may be the nicest comfort inn that I ever stayed at.
The owner/manager/front desk man was extremely helpful. He gave me some maps and pointed me in directions to see stuff that I didn't know about. Thanks to him I saw 17 mile drive, which is pretty amazing and something to see during a trip out here.
The free breakfast is pretty solid. The waffles were good and not in pre-poured cups sitting outside. -

Inexpensive, older, clean, close to the airport. Two nights for business. Not in the hub of town but everything is only 2-3 miles away. For the money it's a great place to stay. I did Tues and Wed for $79 night. One queen bed. Tues there's a fun Farmers Market 4-8.

This was a nice hotel for the price. A little out of the way. There is a nice restaurant that is on site. Not expensive at all. I would stay here again if I had to be down in Monterey over night.
