We overnighted here for a tour of Cal Poly on our way up the coast. For one night, it wasn't bad and the price was right. Any longer than one night would have grossed me out.

We stayed in a suite and the furnishings were extremely dated and worn. It was clean, but really could use updating. Close to town.

Note: One extremely annoying thing was having to PAY $1.50 for the in-room safe. Who uses the in-room safe? I made the reservation online through the website, which made no mention of this extra charge. And granted, it was only $1.75, but I thought it obnoxious.

I had reserved 2 rooms online.  One room had a leaky toilet with a big puddle of water on the floor, the other room the A/C wasn't working, it was too hot to keep that room.  No more rooms at that rate, the clerk tried to get me to pay for the "upgrade" to a suite.  Nope.  I went to the suite, it had yet to be cleaned!  Back to the office, now there are two other unhappy guests trying to get a better room.  Seems to be a theme.  I left and said I would be back later and to have a working/clean room ready.  Hours later, I was informed that the A/C in the first room is working now.  It was working,  I then tried to get online....you guessed it, signal too weak.  The following morning, the internet was very spotty with frequent disconnections. Glad it was for just one night.  Otherwise the room wasn't bad, just definitely not good.  Oh, FYI for the fitness minded, their "Gym" was a converted hotel room with a treadmill.

Nice, budget-friendly hotel within walking distance of restaurants and the downtown. Stayed here for 2 nights on business and was happy with the location and the room. The rooms are a little on the small side but come with a fridge and a microwave, just perfect for a late night snack of popcorn and cold soda. I could easily access the free wi-fi internet in my room and the speed was acceptable.

Nice for a small chain inn. Cute exterior. Most of the rooms have parking spots right in front of them. Great rates, and walkable to town (several blocks).

Rooms are on the small side, but nice layout and has a fridge.

Great customer service!

This is in a good location, set amidst most of the other bargain hotels in town.  While I am normally comfortable in dive hotels, this one gave me the creeps.  As I walked in the front door of my room, there was a Jacuzzi tub in the main room, taking up about a third of the room and resulting in the bathroom being shrunk and set at odd angles.  I suppose it would be nice for students or workers coming in for a nooner, but for an overnight stop made little sense.  [Had my wife been with me she would disagree, however.]  The good news was that there were twice as many bath towels in the room.

Although curtains were black-out style, they did not and could not cover the glass area, so light poured in.  One drape, on the window overlooking the slimy green (winter) pool, looked like someone wiped their snotty nose on it several times.  The one table in the room seemed to list, adding to the eerie feeling.

Despite advertising free internet service, I could not access it in my room so I had to track down a working hot spot.  I later saw several people on laptops in the lobby, which is probably the only place it works.

Parking was close and easy.  There was a fridge and microwave.

BUT they had a ridiculous requirement that you pay up front $1.50 for the use of the in-room safe.  You could get a refund when you checked out.  Because I was running late, I forgot to get the refund.  Stupid add-on.

The icing on the cake was the fact that the smoke detector decided to announce that the battery was low--at 4:00 in the morning.  Chirp, chirp every 30 seconds for the next 2 hours.

There's no reason not to try a different hotel.
