This place is a typical discount hotel.  No frills, just a bed.  The hotel came with a continental breakfast, a lobby that goes in "lock down" mode at night (attendant behind shielded glass), and a dated bedroom.  It's old, but cheap and decent.

The only thing of note about this place is that it is about 7 miles outside downtown Boston.  They have a free shuttle to/from both the airport and a local subway station, HOWEVER, the shuttle departure/pick-up time are unpredictable, so don't count on them.  We had one night, when a group of 12 guests angrily waited to be picked up at the subway for nearly an hour -- argh!  Makes you wonder if the money saved vs. hotels in central Boston is worth it, given that we spent a LOT of time waiting for shuttles.

I had to stay here for 3 days and got really bored here.  The staff was nice but didn't like me sleeping in the lobby.  I just wanted some company :(

Clean.
Reasonably priced.
Great continental breakfast.
Kinda far from downtown and takes some time for a cab to get out there. I would rather stay near Fenway than Dorchester.
Not much in walking distance.

I stayed here for my wedding.  The sales manager, Ann, is awesome and was really helpful getting great rates for my guests - and they had a free shuttle to and from the reception site.  They were incredibly accommodating.
The rooms are a good size and they have a great free breakfast (including waffles - nice!).
Otherwise, a very basic hotel - not really close to anything.  They have a decent size parking lot and 24 hour security, but it isn't in the best location, so I was a little worried when I needed to park behind the hotel.  It was great for my purposes, but if you are visiting Boston I would recommend a hotel closer to downtown.
I am very happy with the service I received and thought it was great value for the price.

I stayed here for a night in the past month.  When I first searched for hotels by price, this place consistently appeared as one of the least expensive options in the Boston area.  At first I was worried that it was a tad far out (about 4 mi from downtown, 5 mi from the Logan airport), but it had free shuttle service between the hotel and the airport and the JFK Redline T stop.  In the end, my frugality won out.

Check in time is 3 pm.  The place was very busy while I was there, but the people at the front desk were always polite and helpful.  In fact, while I was waiting to check in, two chartered buses appeared out of no where and out poured 100 teenagers and their parents.  Not really sure what was going on, but they were quiet enough at night for me to sleep well.  The hotel is older and my room felt like it was stuck in a time warp from the 1970's.  Amenities include free continental breakfast, wireless Internet access, basic cable, parking, and local calls.  There is free hot cocoa, coffee, and oatmeal in the lobby at all times.  Also, it is right next to the Family Fun Center which has bowling as far as I could tell.

Average hotel, but I gave 4 stars for the shuttle service.  There are at least 3 different shuttles going back and forth to the airport, the JFK T stop, and the convention centers.  Decent option for people traveling on a budget.  I would advise that if you need the convention shuttle service from Hynes during rush hour, it's probably faster to just hop on the T and catch the T shuttle to the hotel.  I caught the shuttle from Boston Medical Center and then the driver got called for a pick-up from Hynes and because the person calling it made us wait almost 30 minutes, it took me almost 2 hours to get back to the hotel.  So please be considerate!
