I loved this place. Chris Clobber was the headliner and was hilarious. The food was mediocre but this really isn't a place where the food matters. Highly recommended.

This is truly one of the great Seattle landmarks. Every comedian in Seattle started here (and most still go there), and most of the world's greatest comics (Bill Hicks, Jerry Seinfeld, Mitch Hedberg) performed there.

Ron and Carl (the guys who run the place) are great guys and have been mentors to anyone who dared step on stage for their famous open mics.

I love this place. It's downstairs so it seems like when you go there -- you know a secret. I came here when I was visiting Seattle about ten years ago and it was the first place I went when I decided to move here.
Hands down - best pre-show announcement.
Hands down - most historical ambiance (less now that they had to take out the pull chain flush toilets after the earthquake)
Go there.
You'll like it.

I've made it here once so far.  Bought tickets online.  This entitles you to reserved seats, and service by waitstaff.  All the seats here are good due to intimate size of establishment.  Looked like they also sold overflow tickets for standing room only.  Pretty damn funny comics when we went (been a while, can't remember headliner's name).  Pretty reasonable ticket rates which stands to reason cause not a whole lot of money has been put into doing the place out.  Pretty bare bones, but the Underground atmosphere gives it a feeling of being "legit"--like you could see the "next Seinfield" coming out of here.

I'll make it back eventually.  If you're looking for reasonably priced comedy, this is a good venue.

Late-night Sundays are open mic, and your best bet for a cheap night of professional comics practicing or trying out new material, as well as material from the odd crack addict grasping at a dream of a stable life; jaded, single 40-something women venting about their lonely lives; or hilarious old men who bus it in from the retirement home to share some surprisingly dirty jokes that still somehow remain classy as hell.

I have NEVER been disappointed with open mic Sundays, as the real comics are hilarious, and the train wreck amateurs giving comedy a try are worth the spectacle. I've also seen a handful of actual shows here, and they've always been worth the money.

For added enjoyment, keep your eye on the back-left corner of the room. All the comics hang out here, and you can usually catch a glimpse of the social interactions typical of the disturbingly narcissistic and self-destructive world of stand-up comics. It's beautiful.

FOLKS: Get your chortles here!

Nestled under Swannies in Pioneer Square is this dirty, little gem.  I used to be a regular on Sunday nights- Open Mic- $6 gets you 2+ hours of awkward, amateur comedy entertainment. I've always found most of the acts pretty funny and there's always a headliner.

Casey, no doubt, will be there. He's a 'lot' whacked out on 'I don't know what' and he's got punchlines that go nowhere but awkward- they usually involve Britney Spear's nether regions. He's worth the trip, is a trip. and is probably trippin' out somewhere as I type this.

Drinks are cheap- I've never had food, but it's the usual greasy spoon.  This place is great for groups- it'd be a perfect Yelp outing!

Two awkward pauses (and a punchline to boot) up!

has that dive bar feel that is perfect for live comedy. the place is small enough that you feel like part of the show but big enough that you don't feel like you are in someone's house. the menu could use a little work, but i don't think anyone comes here for the food. the waitstaff makes sure the drinks keep flowing and that is far more important..

The underground doesn't get as big of acts as Giggles but it's by far the better place. The environment is hip and what a comedy club should be. The drinks are better and not as over priced as Giggles either. Even though you might not recognize the name of who ever is headlining go anyway you will have a good time anyway.
