Columbia Airport
1 review for Columbia Airport
We landed at this quaint airport with one paved runway and a bonus grass strip. We chose the paved one of course. We experienced a harrowing crosswind as we landed, but the runway was in great condition to receive us.
The tiny airport terminal had a community touch, and a nature trail connects the airport to the gold rush ghost town of Columbia. What a treat! Airports are often cast out into the suburbs or rural areas, making any sightseeing very difficult unless someone is generous enough to chauffeur visiting pilots around the area.
I will definitely visit the airport and the ghost town again.
