20 reviews for Colorado Belle Hotel & Casino
My review is on the Boiler Room Brew Pub. A group of 13 of us came for dinner. $1.25 IPA will always deserve a 5 star from me, unless it tastes like poop....well maybe after a few $1.25 IPA's I might not taste the poop so much? and then maybe I'd give them a 3. All kidding aside, it was a REALLY fun time!
Everyone loved their food, items that people tried who were sitting near me were fish and chips, BBQ chicken pizza, a cheese burger, assorted sandwiches and I had the wedge salad. I was full from snack earlier so I ordered this salad I think it was about $4. It was $4 of pure deliciousness!! Iceberg lettuce, gorgonzola, walnuts, bacon, sweet little tom's and blue cheese dressing! I almost ate the whole thing, certainly not because I was hungry, just for the pure pleasure of all the flavors melting together. I had to push myself away from the plate. Their beer selection(that they may make) is like 6-8 beers. Everyone loved the beers they chose.
If you go to Laughlin this is a MUST go to. Wait staff is great and were very accommodating when we requested separate checks. (I've heard separate checks are a pain for waiters but they were nice)

The Boiler Room = 4 Stars. Laughlin's only MUST STOP!
The Boiler Room was the best restaurant I ate at while in Laughlin. It is a brew pub, yes they truly brew their own beer. Unfortunately I was feeling under the weather so the beer wasn't an option for me. I grew up on the Ohio river and I thought the decor was really cool. Kind of nostalgic for me. I could see people thinking it was cheesy but hey walking in the door you know you would be in a casino shaped like a steamboat.
We sat on the starboard side of the restaurant which gives you a really nice view of the river.
As for the food, they had very good burgers and decent pizza. They actually cooked the food out in the open. Your pizzas are made in a wood fired oven and your burgers and chicken are grilled over an open flame by a guy who gives a damn (see my pics!). We chatted with the cook, who was genuinely interested in what we thought of the food, after our meal.
My only complaint was the salad which was obviously one of those pre-mix deals but at least it was fresh.
The food is good and the prices won't break you. This is truly the only place I would state as a "must stop" while in Luaghlin.

The Hotel = 3 stars
The rooms were fine (be expecting something along the lines of Days Inn), the beds were fine (not spectacular but passable), the bathroom was clean, the service desk was friendly, and one of the towels had someone's skid mark on it.
Heh... all in all it was a good stay. We, like a couple of others have mentioned, were able to grab a room for $50 per night which is a fair price. I can't say I'd recommend shelling out much more.
Biggest complaint was no free Wi-Fi. Even Motel 6 has that nowadays.

Pros:
- Rooms with windows that open up wide for fresh air
- Cheap room ($18 in March during the week)
- Cheap good food at the Boiler Room microbrewery ($6.95 for microbrew beer AND burger w/ fries)
- Heated pool open year round plus hot tub located close to hotel rooms
- Casino has a nice view of the Colorado River. Also, there's a viewing deck on the water outside.
- Attentive cocktail waitresses.
Cons:
- A shortage of Texas Tea machines
- Mediocre late night food
- Lack of hotel information in hotel room (no pamphlet or guest services book)
- Very tiny TV in hotel room
Review is for the Boiler Room only.
After we realized the dinner buffet upstairs on Xmas was not $6.99 we decided to check out this place as I remembered a good review from Yelp. Inside was dimly lit, industrial looking like, yes, a boiler room. We were seated immediately, and a cheerful waiter quickly arrived.
He announced a $1.25 beer specials - sweet deal as microbrews are never at this price! The stout was excellent - as it was smooth and had a slight chocolate after taste.
I ordered the beer and cheddar soup which came in a bread bowl. The food took a little while to arrive but we can't complain as it was Xmas. The bread bowl was toasted to perfection. The soup was excellent! It had enough cheesyness that strands of cheese connect your uplifted spoon to the soup but not too much so the cheese ultimately gives up its adherence to the main body. The bits of bacon and green onions gives the soup character. After the soup was gone, my bf demolished the bowl - it was that good.
Everyone else in the party enjoyed their meal - my bf had 2 brats - my bro had chicken parmesan sandwich - with onion rings. I had a bite of the chicken parm sandwich and the chicken was VERY tender and flavorful. I had a few of the beer battered onion rings which were quite delicious - you know they make them from scratch. Lastly, even the standard fries that came with the meal were good!
To wrap up, we had the root beer float. To our surprise the ice cream and the IBC root beer came separately. This was genius! This was a social event - we had 2 people to eat and 2 people to drink so that we had a system where we added more root beer as we progressed through the float until the whole thing was gone.
I really enjoyed this place - it turns out that this meal cost about the same as the buffet. The next time I'm driving by Laughlin again, I'll come back to give it 5 stars!
Side note: I'd probably like to stay @ the Belle as this was the hotel with character (unlike the high rise blocks surrounding the area).

Wanted to review the Boiler Room.. love this restaurant for eats in Laughlin! We usually walk from the Tropicana Express or the Aquarius & stand in line to eat here after a long day of baking in the sun. It is nice to get dressed up and go out for dinner after being in the lake all day or in the smokey casinos.
The service is sometimes slow since they are pretty busy, but the best waitress ever is an older lady named WINKY - whoohoo.. she is great! They have "pitchers" of the beer they brew there which are actually like huge jugs of beer. You can come back anytime and refill them for like $7, too! The sweet potato fries are awesome & our other favorite is the BBQ chicken pizza.. it is just enough to share for 2 people, but who wants to share BBQ chicken pizza!?
I always eat here when I come to Laughlin and definitely recommend it.

I love this casino. Who knew there would be a brewery in Laughlin?? The beer was actually pretty good, too!
The casino iteself is old school. It has a quaint feeling to it, while still offering a large amount of table games. As always, the slots were in abundance. The night I was here, there was a great old-time band playing in the middle of the casino and old, weird western dudes dancing. Fabulous!

Definitely the most entertaining of the hotels in Laughlin -- it's shaped like a boat from the Mississippi (sp?) and has all these Mark Twain and Southern sayings all over the place. Don't you just love themes??? My family and I kept saying all these cheesey sayings as we pounded down some cold ones from their indoor brewery, which I rec'd.
It's definitely an impressive casino for Laughlin ... as my Dad said, "It's not as cheap as it looks!" Friendly service and not too crowded. Not Vegas by a stretch but it is what it is ... and it's not half bad for Laughlin. Mostly (like all of lauglin) dominated by gramps and grandma's ... so expect this when you hit the night out on the town! We took the boat taxi from there (right off the dock) and it was a cool way to go down the Colorado and see all the hotels on the "strip" down the main road.

This place offers great online deals. Stayed for 2 nights, 4 free meals, and 4 t-shirts for $99. The staff were very friendly and always brought us extra towels when asked.
We ate at the brewery and a fantastic meal. Their pizzas, burgers, sandwiches were sooo good. We waited in line for about an hour...but it was worth it.
The rooms are standard...very standard. But we were there to have a good time outside of the room...so it was not that important.
Would definetly return and would recommend.

Friends and I were staying at the Edgewater and then our friend Steve and his wife decides to go to the Colorado Belle. My friend Ruel and I said that there were better places in the Edgewater.
Nope...Steve's mind was made up.. Aaaah...we went up to the second floor by escallator and turned to the right and there was this restaurant. It seemed like a nice place.
Steve suggested the chicken and of course my fat ass ordered an extra portion...big mistake. Service was very good.
After we left...everyone had stomach pains and ran to the restrooms....outta our way everyone...outta our way.....where the heck is the restrooms?
Remember stupid me..that ordered an extra piece..well I paid hell for that mistake. I spent the night on the toilet...and my poop came out the same color as a super bright LED green traffic light.
It was glowing bright green with a little gold on it in the toilet...did I eat something toxic? I coulda used it for a night light.
Sorry, won't go here again, I left half my butt on the toilet..pure torture.
Of course..our friend Steve has a cast iron stomach...everything is good to him..
He could evacuate a football stadium after he uses the toilet.

The rooms were pretty clean and quiet, but one of the elevators had a urine stench probably from kids going in and out from the pool. I would recommend staying away from the pool cause it's pretty small and the water looked very cloudy. Stick to the river.
Gaming was very reasonable: $5 Black Jack, $10 Pai Gao, $4 Roulette, and $4 Craps on a Saturday Night. Didn't have any trouble at all finding a seat at a table.
Hotel: We stayed at the Belle hotel and I got a really good deal from expedia ($28 for 3 nights Th-Sun, if you want to know how message me). So when we get there, checking in, i did the $20 sandwich and the nice girl in the front upgraded us to their delta lanai rooms (river view!!!) It was so nice. The stairs next to our room led straight to the river and straight to the casino walkway. The rooms are clean and they are OK for a Laughlin hotel. Definitely not comparable to the Bellagio or anything but itll do!
Casino: Their dealers are so nice! Ive gotten to know a few over the few days that we were there... theyre super nice! Won at the roulette tables, everything else I lost. Anyway, being an avid poker player, they have the tournaments on Sundays and a good running $2/4 game with a bunch of older people so that was fun (because I kept winning).
Mark Twain: the cornbread was GREAT. the tri tips with bbq sauce is getting a 1 star for me. the clam chowder was OK... nothing to write home about.
4 stars because of the hotel room and the poker room and the cheap casino. food... crap!

Let me preface this by saying that we don't gamble. We stayed there on a whim, just for shits and giggles. We paid $50/night which it was worth. The room was clean and yes, pretty standard. No cable though, so you're stuck watching local tv (shudder) or paying for movies and games. We didn't spend much time in the room so no biggie. Walking through the casino was pretty smoky and I got a head ache, so no , I didn't want to stay in the casino for dinner. I felt really bad for the Koi fish in the moat outside the hotel, the water was NOT what Koi need to live, and Im sorry but the "Please don't throw trash in the moat" signs did nothing to stop people and the winds from throwing trash in the water. There were all sorts of things floating around in there during the whole time we were there. If you're going to have a Koi pond, then fucking take care of it! Anyhoo - there was only one elevator working at the time, which was fine for us since our room was next to the stairs, but what about everyone else in case of a fire?? It was quiet though, so that is good, especially for a holiday weekend. Our car got broken into in the parking lot, on the night in which we parked right out front and three rows back. The shit heads took our used, muddy river floats - I know - WTF??? They also stumbled off with my cd collection which really sucks, but I guess you gotta expect that in Laughlin - home of the greasy tweaker. All in all the hotel experience was ok - the room was ok, the parking lot could use LOTS more vigilance. We won't stay there again though, cause just across the water in BullHead City there were lots of good, clean, normal places to stay. We're staying there next time.

my bf and i were in laughlin this past weekend. we went into the colorado belle because our hotel(tropicana express) did not have many places where to eat that were open between 12 and 5. so we went into this place. the casino area of this hotel seemed very popular, there were a lot of people playing and having a good time. so we ate at this buffet on the second floor( i dont know the name) it was decorated with ropes and like what seem to look like anchors. we paidd $11.99 each. this was on a saturday between 2pm and 3pm. the food was poor!!! nothing was good. i liked about 3 items from the menu and they were still mediocre. the place looked like it was stuck in the 70's or 80's. also i saw many latinos there.

A lot of time was spent at the Belle by the locals b/c it had the greatest happy hour on the river. Mississippi Lounge had excellent service, dollar beers and wells! We would spend every Friday upstairs and then make our way down. Unfortunately they stopped the happy hour so the only thing we make it to the Belle for is the $1 black jack and the sea food buffet on Fri nights. Which are worth going to!
this review is for one of their restaurants.
the 24 hour Paddlewheel restaurant upstairs is really good.
for around $6, you can get a breakfast special that's enough for three meals. just take the rest to-go.
you can get steak and eggs which includes four biscuits and gravy, eggs, hashbrowns, and a new york strip steak.. it's way too much food.
surprisingly it wasn't greasy at all, and everything was fresh and cooked correctly. the steak was boneless and really soft.
one of the best and nicest waitresses served us.. even at 12:30 am, at the end of her shift, she was nice and enthusiastic even though she was obviously exhausted.
+ a great late night option
+ huge portions
+ perfect service
- have to go through the casino to get to the restaurant

What can i say about the Ol' Belle? Lots of good drunken nights had here, losing lots of $$! This is where we always stay when we visit. Its one of the cleaner casinos with decent drink service. Service definately gets better after midnight when the crowd thins out. It still primarily an older crowd, but each time we go there are more and more 20 - 30 year old there! Did i mention they have $1 blackjack? There are plenty of open tables later at night, especially during the week. Friday and Sat night get alot busier, but for 40$ a room and free booze its still hard to go wrong!

go to the brewery and get the steak and beer for 10-12 bucks its pretty good one of my favorites in laughlin.
Much better than Edgewater, Id say. I really liked the place a lot! There were rude employees but then there were a few that were above and beyond that I just overlook it. First off, we had some car problems with a friend of ours, so we had to tow their ski back to the hotel (cant be trusted leaving the skis on the river), the first night, the security guard was extremely understanding. The second night, he was rude from the get-go. In fact, he even said "if no one else is doing their job, well neither will I" and he rode off in his bicycle. Then he came back and told us we had to leave. I had to PLEA for one more night since it was the weekend and everything was closed. We had to pay extra money to get it done the next day. But my friend, who was deeply bothered by the man's remarks, went to head of security and they were REALLY nice. Gave her hugs and said that it would all be taken care of, and not to worry. Then there was a bell boy who my friend could not stop talking about. I guess he was really helpful. There were dealers who would play your hands for you at the blackjack table (we had a 14 and she just assumed we wanted to stay), but then there was a dealer (KIMBERLY) who made our night EVERY NIGHT! We would try new tables and follow her around because she would make us laugh and have fun even though we were losing ha ha. Some of the reservation clerks were rude too...I think its the older employees who are less understanding. Or maybe its because we are in our 20s and the younger employees understand us better?
Boiler Room: Server took both of my comps when I could only use 1, so I lost a comp...I should have paid more attention I guess...not much of a selection. Sucky live band. Price $10-$20
Mark Twains: GREEAAT FOOD! I LOVE THAT PLACE! We've gone to many BBQ restaurantes, this one is one of our favorites! AND they have $10.99 all you can eat ribs and chicken +sides! The waitress we had, although it was during closed hours, was hilarious, fun and on the ball with our food and drinks!!! Price is about $10-$40
Oh yeah, you gotta love the fishbowl drinks for $20. Well worth it, and it actually has a bit of alcohol in it (well mine did lol)
