After moving to Cleveland from Lorain, I had a horrible time finding a new salon. I went around to a bunch of places but was never really satisfied with the results. But ever since going to Color Nation I refuse to go anywhere else.
The moment I nervously walked into Color Nation I was impressed. It is bright and open and a very happy atmosphere. My stylist wasn't ready so they let me go to the waiting area which is very comfortable. They brought me coffee and told me that if I needed anything to not hesitate to ask. My stylist came and we talked color and cut. She gave me the perfect cut. I was so impressed. Sadly she left so I had to find a new stylist.
Since then I have gone to Liam. He is a miracle worker. I defintiely recommend him. He's young but very good. Most recently when I decided to go for a big change in my hair style he as well as the rest of the staff made me feel very comfortable about it and as you can see he did an amazing job. I definitely recommend him as a stylist if you can get an appointment.
Color Nation also has a full spa with great serevices at reasonable prices. Color Nation is one of the only salons I know of in Cleveland that offers brazilian bikini wax which is definitely worth the $65.

Okay, I admit, I get OCD about my hair. If it's cut unevenly or if the highlights aren't perfect, I lose my cool. I chose Color Nation Salon for my blonde highlights because they were voted Best Salon for Color multiple years in a row. I originally booked an appointment with Janine. The day of my appointment I received a call from the salon letting me know she called in sick but that Kristy had an opening at the same time. I inquired about her level of experience and the receptionist assured me she had 10+ years of experience and was very good with blondes. Fast forward...I arrive at the salon and I am impressed. It's a good size but it's very charming. They sell Pureology products so that is a major plus in my book. Kristy greeted me with a smile and walked me over to her chair. I showed her the mess on my head and she confidently said, "Let me mix up some color and I'll be right back." She proceeded to work extremely fast--I've never had someone foil my hair that quickly. She is incredibly efficient. While I was waiting for my color to process, she offered me a drink of my choice and the opportunity to use one of the salon's laptops to cruise the internet. Very cool. She blew dry my hair, and when she spun me around in the chair and I saw the color I was smiling from ear to ear. She completely NAILED my blonde color. I've had my hair colored in top notch salons in San Francisco and Chicago many, many times, and these were the best highlights I've ever had. I was so pleased (and so relieved!). I asked her to check a few angles in my haircut because I thought the right side was a little longer. (Keep in mind this was a haircut from another salon so she wasn't obligated to do it). Kristy happily agreed to do so, and she snipped a few layers a bit shorter. She didn't charge me a penny to do that. I was so, so impressed with her. I had partial highlights and they cost $95. They even sent me on my way with a "new client goodie bag" filled with samples, coupons, and chocolate. Nice touch! If you wish to go see Kristy, drop me an email. I went to Color Nation for a haircut about a month ago. Katy was great! She listened to everything I said and even suggested other ideas. Very friendly staff. Would recommend to others.
