If our room would have had a vibrating bed, it would have completed the "motel experience" perfectly!

We actually got the room to prepare for a wedding and didn't end up spending the night in it.  The room was small, but the bathroom was big.  It did have a great full-size fridge.  There was no soap in the bathroom and only one trash can in the entire room.

We kept hearing a really loud old-fashioned phone ringing - ends up it's the hotels' lobby phone.  It rings outside in the parking lot.  Interesting.  If it does that 24 hours a day, I wouldn't recommend this place for a good night's rest.

It reminded me of a hotel from a half a century ago on Route 66.  It has that old bygone era feel.  Good for sleeping off a night of cocktails but not a vacation destination.

Too expensive.  This is an area of North Hollywood that's nice and walkable in the daytime, but can get sketchy at night.  I suppose the app. $120 nightly rate for a typical single bed (this would be their AAA rate as well), is to keep out that riffraff.   $80 would be much more reasonable, and it would be high enough to keep out the hookers, and the gang bangers throwing a blowout.   It may also be that their scheme is to nab tourists not savvy to the LA area, emphasizing the "Hollywood" in their N. Hollywood locale.  And, it probably works because the motel isn't all that bad if you're a  tourist and you're going to be driving to the typical tourist spots, anyway.  I just feel sorry for the ones expecting an Anaheim-like area surrounding the place.  Oh, and they wanted like a $100 dollar deposit to use their wi fi?   Luckily I found an unsecured connection, but it wasn't theirs.   My advice to tourists:  Try the Burbank Inn and Suites, on Alameda at I-5.  Same price, same motel, much better and safer location.

Stopped by here without reservations and stayed the night in their "suite." The suite consisted of a king bed, queen bed and a pull out sofa. The interior decor was definitely interesting....a southwestern theme with half of the wallpaper border missing.

For $160.00, it wasn't worth it.
