First it was Holly Hill Mall, then Colonial Mall, and then Burlington Square Mall. It has never managed not to suck.
Behold the mall, full of a ragtag assortment of retailers which strut and fret their hour upon the lifeless floor without anyone caring. People just went to Greensboro instead, or Durham, or really anywhere else. For years it held on, though, proud in its crappiness, until 2007 when Alamance Crossing moved in near I-40 and rendered the area completely indistinguishable from any other freeway exit, while simultaneously obliterating any remaining reason to go here.
Seriously, why would you even go here? It's a depressing ghost town of a mall and it gave up years ago. Apparently it's also facing foreclosure, which should surprise nobody in the area.
Epic suck.
