I heart this place! Here's why...
You can go any where to get keys made. You have millions of places you can call to get a lock replaced or if you lock yourself out of your place. But there are very few places with the experience and expertise these guys have regarding intercom systems. I am on the board of my condo association, therefore am responsible for many of the maintenance items for the entire building. Our building was a gut rehab. Unfortunately, we had a really crappy builder (Don't ever buy a building built by Absolute Builders! They are scam artists!) and have had many issues with the building. One of the things is our intercom system. It never worked correctly and eventually some units systems stopped working completely.
I, being the girl I am, first called my Daddy to ask him for a referral. He told me to call Collier Lock. I called and made an appointment for later that week. The owner himself, John, came to look at the system. After introductions, he asked me if I was related to a Fred (my father). How many repairs guys do you know who actually remember their customers?!?!?!?! Seriously, I was impressed. If he remembers the work he did for my Dad, then this is going to be some great customer service!
Anyway, after testing and playing with the system for over 2 hours, the verdict came in that there was no hope for permanently repairing the existing system. Instead of saying "too bad for you", they came up with some solutions to fix the immediate issues and gave me some ideas and prices for what they offer if my association decided to replace the entire system.
Since our first encounter, I have had them out many times to do some additional temporary repairs. Each time, the tech they send is very knowledgeable and patient with all of my questions/concerns. My board has finally voted to replace the system so I will be calling Collier Lock soon to set up another appointment!!! -

After reading all the great reviews, I wanted to hire Collier to change the locks and hardware on the condo I had purchased. I called on a Friday afternoon, and spoke to a guy who asked me to call a different number and leave a message (he said he was on the street) and promised to give me a call back in the morning.
A woman called me back the following Thursday. Six days later. By that time I'd already had the work done by someone a little more prompt at returning phone calls.
I mean, I guess I'm glad I wasn't locked out and waiting for them to call me back. See? There's a bright side to everything.
Return calls in a timely manner, folks. Pretty simple rule of running a business. And if you don't have time and can't take the job? It takes exactly 30 seconds to call and tell me that. -

We just had Collier Lock back to our place this week, to rekey all the Schlage locks for our condo. John himself did the work. He was on time, and the cost was reasonable. On a visit several years ago, he shared that there is a padlock that can use a Schlage key.

I needed my front door lock repaired. It's super old and was sticking and locking me out. The woman who made the appointment was friendly and seemed knowledgeable (although the work order turned out to be wrong when the technician arrived).
Dan was very friendly and professional. He was able to complete the job despite the work order being incorrect. He knew what he was doing and rather than replacing the whole lock mechanism, which is what I had expected him to do and what I had expected to pay for, he worked with my lock to repair it. It works great now and I'm thrilled to have saved some money.
They also have a referral program, through which one can earn cash back by providing discount cards to friends and neighbors. -

I called these folks up to re-key some locks because they were right around the corner from home -- and I'm glad to know they're in the neighborhood. They were able to schedule a service appointment in just a couple of days, and the whole thing was taken care of promptly.
I would have given them 5 stars but for the fact that the first appointment nearly fell through -- something about another appointment running late and them missing a guy that day. By the time they arrived, it was too late to do the entire job (which would have involved a trip to their workshop and then back again with some parts) -- but they recovered some points by scheduling the next appointment after their normal hours so that I wouldn't have to take another afternoon off work. Also, the eventual price was lower than what they'd orginally quoted (and a lot lower than I'd expected to pay) -- which always helps. I'd definitely use them again. -

i love this place! everyone is super helpful! they were able to make copies of all my keys, including one for a pad lock!!!
next time you lock yourself out, need your locks rekeyed, need an intercom system,or need copies of your keys go to Collier!!! it's way better than giving your money to home depot or even worse.... lowes!
