Strolled in one day after ordering at Hazel's, and I immediately fell in love with this place. Great music playing, cool clothes, and everything designed and arranged with a true artist's touch that put me in a phenomenal mood as I perused the unique, well-chosen collection of guy's shirts and shoes. Already pleased with the selection, I was blown away by Erica, who welcomed me with a million-dollar smile that says "Relax, you're about to have some kick-ass clothes." The conversation turned from music, to art, to style, to the perfect wardrobe for me. I had been in once before and Katie found me a PERFECT shirt on what was, for me, a "wow-I-really-need-the-perfect-and-I-mean-perfect- shirt-for-tonight" day. She made it happen in 5 minutes- that's a pro. This time, Erica big-pictured it, and we talked about what vibe I was looking for in general, and she even offered to keep an eye out and send me an email when she found some possibles for me.

I'm totally sold on Collage Clothing.  It's my new source for vintage and local designers, and I really have no reason to go anywhere else.  From the decor and feel of the shop, to the absolutely charming Erica, this place is top notch, a fitting addition to my favorite neighborhood in San Francisco.

If you know style and design, you're going to love her.  If you aren't blessed with style, you're going to need her (especially the guys out there).  I haven't worn the first shirt I bought at CC without getting double takes and head turns everywhere I go (no exaggeration).

Erica, you are brilliant, keep doing what you do.  And thanks making finding the perfect shirt easy for a busy guy.

It is all about people. Business owners take note. I walked into this small store with vintage and consignment goods as I waited to be seated at Chez Maman down the street. I was immediately drawn to these beautiful shoes:

After picking them up and feeling how heavy they were (a good thing) I looked carefully and noticed they were Gucci. They were in excellent condition and were only $100 (they usually run about $600).

DeLisa was incredibly friendly. Seldom do I meet business owners that I feel are genuine and friendly. Delisa has such a great sense of style and that shows in Collage Clothing and Collage gallery next door.

I'm feeling so torn right now.

On one hand, I absolutely adore this cute little shop (which, along with Sunflower, is one of the main reasons I'm sad to be moving out of Potrero Hill).  On the other hand, I don't want you, anonymous Yelp reader, to know about how fabulous it is and buy out all the little gems in this store. My only consolation is that Erica is amazingly talented and always seems to find "new" things to replenish the goods I (and soon you) buy out every week ("new" is in quotes because if you didn't already know, this store carries mostly consigned and vintage clothing).

Some recent treasures Erica helped me find (that have become my go-to items lately!):

    - Best example of Erica's genius: This gorgeous blue vintage dress that she had hemmed into a mini! Genius, right? (too bad I can't wear mini skirts in the office or I'd wear this dress every week!)
    - My favorite buy so far: checkered plaid pencil skirt. So chic and matches everything
    - My new favorite bag! This beautiful brown vintage Coach crossbody bag
-My newest purchase: Just strolled in for 5 min today while waiting for takeout and Erica knew right away what to show me. This cute tennis dress/tunic from the 50s (a bit too short for me to wear out just as a dress, unless I want to get arrested for indecent exposure haha)

Make sure you go when Erica is there :) She'll take a look at what you're wearing, figure out what your style is in only a few minutes, and start to pick out stuff that you'll immediately fall in love with :)

Just make sure to leave some stuff for me...

Both the clothing store and the gallery are fantastic! Beautiful items and super nice people!! I had twenty minute conversations each with both the owner, Delisa, and Emily, working in the clothing side. Both of them were super personable and gave me great information about San Francisco.

If (when?) I move here, I'll definitely be coming back to Collage!

This section of 18th St in Potrero Hill is, Tony the Tiger "grrrrrreat", or maybe it's a Kool-Aid "Oh Yeahhhh". It has Farley's Coffee, Chez Mama and Hazel's Kitchen, but for your clothing needs, it's Collage Clothing. They carry many vintage items, but also new clothing such as Red Choo Choo shirts. Their sister store Collage Gallery also has many unique items to decorate your humble abode.

I really don't want to sound magazine-y here but it's unavoidable.  This place has the most well edited assortment.  There, I did it.  I mean, seriously, it's the size of a tiny closet and everything is amazing.  If you find yourself in the neighb, grab a coffee at Farley's (oh haaaay Farley's) and then wander into Collage.  Plan on browsing for a minute, the tiny size is deceptive, you'll want to poke through every nook and cranny.  Loves it.

Some serious finds for boys and girls, it's right next door to the original store, "Collage" this store goes by the same name but only does clothing, accessories, etc. Very nice looking interior and a nice variety, it's not huge but has huge character.

Collage is the latest endeavor of the brilliant women who own Collage Gallery next door. They have consignment and vintage clothes, shoes, hats and handbags. It is amazing how many cool things they have packed into the tiny elegant store! I attribute the great selection to the expert eye of Erin, the buyer, who is helpful, courteous and quite stylish. In my first visit, I found two cashmere sweaters, a fitted fcuk jean jacket, a short-sleeved plaid 40's-style jacket with rounded collar, a thin cotton variegated stripe men's style shirt, AND a very thick wool sweater shawl with deer horn toggle fastenings. The sweater shawl is so warm it can replace a winter jacket and it is perfect for covering the bubble shirts and dresses which are too flowing to fit underneath a coat or jacket. All seven items came out to onlly $225 with tax. A bargain! Now, lest you imagine that I shop like this all the time, let me assure you that this was quite unusual for me. The fact that I was able to find so many pieces that were so perfect in style, color and material in one store is incredible. I now feel ready for the onslaught of Winter weather. Collage Clothing is a gem of a store for fashion hounds who don't want to pay designer prices!
