I usually stop here for breakfast and it's delicious!! Good service and very timely with the orders. They also have desserts from juniors cheesecake!

Expensive deli with decent food. Why is a sandwich and drink over $10???? that makes no sense.

I do find myself going here every so often because of its close proximity to Hofstra. And I will say that they are very good at catering meals...

Just wish I could say that I can live without going to lunch here...truth is I can.

Reliable delivery, O.K. food,  exorbitant prices.

I use Coliseum Deli for catering when I am stuck with a last minute lunch or breakfast.  You can call them on short notice, set up the meal over the phone and you know the food will get there on time.

I would compare them to a loan shark - they have what you need when you need it but they very much charge you for the convenience.

Take for example their continental breakfast which goes for about $9 per person:  for 20 people Including delivery, tax expect to pay $215 or thereabouts.

You get 15 bagels cut in half,  $15 worth of Costco muffins and crumb cake, 3 qts of OJ, a box of regular coffee, a box of decaf coffee, cream cheese and a box of water.  The presentation is pretty and they throw in a plastic table cloth and heavy duty plastic ware.

I get a similar catering order from a local bagel place minus the table cloth  $75 (but I have to pick it up myself).

I have used them for lunches the food is OK but the prices are similarly over priced.

From breakfast to dinner and everything in between.

One of my vendors used this place to cater a big lunch for my group and I have to say they were more than professional.

They delivered a complete lunch - from tablecloths to condiments, everything was included - all we had to do was sit down and eat- they even had ice cubes and a bucket to put them in.

The food items were all fresh and tasty and well presented and the guy who dropped the whole affair off was professional and took the time to ensure everything was there before he took off.

We were so impressed we are going to use them for our own in-house catering needs from now on.

hofstra kids love it here - on any given day it's guaranteed to be filled with the pride blue and gold. one of my favorite memories of coliseum is going in for breakfast, eating outside in the sun at the picnic tables (overlooking a beautiful view of hempstead turnpike), and going back in for huge sandwiches to take to jones beach. get the CRACK french toast (comes with awesome potatoes with onion and green pepper).

aside from that the food is pretty standard fare, but everything i've had has been fresh and good. i always end up buying so MUCH when i go - apart from the menus, premade salads, sides, desserts, and candy are out on display in such abundance that i just want everything. it's more expensive than i would like for such a basic deli menu, but i've never been disappointed. everything is overpriced on long island anyway. my only complaint is that they close at something like 7pm!
