Ok, I have to pick up where I left off, because of the maxed word limit from the previous review.

Again, let me stress that this was a great show.  The only knock was I would have loved for their set to be longer, and had included some of the songs that I mentiond in my first review.  I guess you can't please 'em all.  There was no denying that this was a tour fully supporting the new album, as the played 9 out of 10 songs from Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends.

Here's a glimpse of the setlist to the show you should've gone and seen:

-"Life in Technicolor" [opener]
-"Violet Hill"
-"Clocks"
-"In My Place"
-"Viva La Vida"
-"42"
-"Yes"
-"The Scientist"
-"Lovers in Japan/Reign of Love"  (not quite sure if it was this or not)
-"God Put a Smile Upon Your Face"
-"Square One"
-"Speed of Sound" (intro sung differntly)
-"What If"
-"Lost"
-"Strawberry Swing"
---------------
The band leaves the stage and starts running through the aisles of the seating area.  They make their way to colonade, next to
a soundboard.  And they start to sing...

-"Yellow"
-"Death Will Never Conquer"  (A new, unreleased song, perfomed by the drummer. It's got a countryside, folk sound to it. Short, but sweet. You can download this song free on their website.)
----------------
-Intermission ...  (While the band is back stage, a film projected out of the globe discusses the accusations of the band's plagiarism and shows images of world events.)
---------------
-"Fix You"  (The grandest part of the night. Butterfly-shaped confetti, about 3 inches in size, kept pouring down on the audience for 2 steady minutes.  The crowd was more engaged than at any other point in the night. You could hear the audience singing along louder than Chris Martin.)
-----------------
-Intermission
----------------
-"Death and All His Friends"
--------------
Show closes.

And, I'll have to agree with Maneli B.  The pseudo laser light show, with different colors and neon strobe light decor, was amazing!

So, seeing Coldplay, and talking to Jon Favreau and Robert Downey Jr. on the same night, made for an awesome experience.  I'm usually not the star-struck kind of person, but I've been a fan of Robert Downey Jr. since he was in Weird Science (he played one of the arrogant bullys) and Less Than Zero, and he hasn't let me down since.  And Jon Favreau...since he played Sean Astin's friend in Rudy.  Albeit, it wasn't that memorable, but the man wrote, co-produced, and starred in Swingers, for crying out loud!!  That's gold in human form, right there.

Anyway, what more can I say?  My night's been memorialized here on Yelp.

The show had many many problems. Coldplay is my all time favorite band and that is the only reason why they didn't get a 3.5 from me. Forgetting lyrics is not admissible! The lighting was cheesy and the show started so late! Good points were 1. They sounded great 2. Great energy 3. The bit where they ran up all the way up to the worst seat in the house and sang. Pretty bleeping awesome.

Was I at the same show to the other reviewers??? I was extremely disappointed. They sounded flat and out of key thoughout and on not one BUT TWO occasions forgot the words. They had to stop the songs and restart them They were on main songs too - like the Scientist. He must be high as he has probably performed that song live several hundred times before.

I have never witnessed this at any of the concerts I have been to before.

For me this is the first and last time I see them live. Too much hype, they are supposed to be on the verge of being a mega band like U2. But on that night's showing no way! $120 per ticket wasted.
