Cold Craft is run professionally and efficiently! The technicians are knowledgable and installation was done well. Pricing is competitive and the owner is willing to go out of his way to be helpful with his offerings!

Coldcraft said will be my house at 2pm. They were at the door at 2pm, even with short notice. Plus 1 star. They came and diagnose the issue and gave the reasons why it broke in simple terms. Plus 2 stars. They fixed it with pointers on ways to prevent the problem and gave me 90day warranty.Plus 2 stars. Good service, good people, good company.

I hired this company to change our heater. By just talking to the owner I didn't even bothered calling anyone else. They maybe more or they maybe less than other companies but what was important for me was to get the job done right. Our heater was an older model and they had to do some special modification which the owner did not up charged us for it at all. I might of found a cheaper company out there but I'm glad we went with these guys. We were so happy with the quality of the heater and workmanship that we even hired them to do our companies warehouse heater as well. Perfect work done again. They angled it so that it would heat the specific area that we wanted to heat up. For the third time we hired them to fix our broken heater and thermostat in our showroom. Again another perfect job done. We actually got price from another person for this repair and cold crafts was cheaper. I can't say nothing but the best about these guys. I have and will recommend them to everyone.

Founder Kent Penning, as a local HVAC Instructor has access to top talent that he recruits for the best quality. The CCI philosophy is to utilize a select group of journeymen installers and service techs to control the quality and consistently build the business.
The real test of a company is not how they act when everything went well, but how do they react when it did not go as planned. CCI stands behind their work.
In addition to the residential work a good part of the business is commercial HVACR equipment too. Our customers include local colleges, restaurants, apartment complexes (for HVAC maintenance and installation), office buildings, telecommunications companies (call centers, data centers), wineries, mushroom farm refrigeration, etc. This commercial work shows that CCI can handle a larger breadth of work than your typical HVACR company.
Meet the Business Owner: Kent D.
Kent Penning is the Founder and President of Cold Craft Inc. We are a heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration installation and service firm that specializes in unusual or difficult issues. We also have a proprietary process for wine cellars that others can't seem to crack.
Kent has been in this industry since 1979 but he used his expertise to start Cold Craft in 1991.

Kent is an instructor in the HVAC program at San Jose City College. Mr. Penning is recognized as being an expert in the field and is sought out to help with many challenging applications. Teaching also allows him to recruit some of the best and upcoming talent.
When not working or teaching, Mr. Penning is active in the Kiwanis Club of San Jose and the Campbell Tae Kwon Do studio.
