Cog d'Or is a part of Chicago history since it is one of the first bars to open right after prohibition ended in 1933. Although the famous watering hole serves appetizers and entrees, it's known as a gathering spot for locals and out-of-town business executives who want to relax with a nice glass of wine, martini, or a more potent spirit after a long work day.

Upon entering, don't be taken aback by the English dcor of quality wood tables, red leather chairs, and murals depicted 18th century soldiers. The 72 years old bar may seem it is only for stodgy older men drenched in money, but young go getters and many women frequent this casual but elegant watering hole.
