To be honest, I was initially a little turned off by this place. I believe we arrived just before 1pm and the place only had a few customers, a little too quite for me. This place could use a little more decor for some added ambiance. The menu was a bit limited but decent. Both of us ordered the chicken cordon blue sandwich, with a potato salad side. Once the food arrived, everything changed! The sandwich was delicious and cooked just right! The potato salad was creamy and homemade. Seeing everything tasted so good, I decided to order a blueberry Cobbler for desert. All I can say is "wow"!
I was really satisfied with my meal and the friendly service.
I can't wait to try out their breakfast!!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Karen F.Greensboro, NC84116336Oct 8, 2012First to Review
Located in a former house that's been converted into a restaurant. It has plenty of charm and a friendly staff who were very accommodating for our party of four. They have different size tables and a short bar to serve different needs. Parking is available on their premises.
Their menu offered appetizers, salads, sandwiches, etc. with a LARGE variety of teas and the usual coffeehouse menu offerings. You could see into the kitchen and everything appeared to be made fresh. They also have hot plated food and there was a "daily special" when we were there on a weekday. The raspberry chai latte was the BEST I've ever had and I will definitely make it a point to stop here the next time I'm near Mountain City.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Daniel B.Bradenton, FL536914Dec 27, 2017
It was alright I thought the other 4 members of my party where not impressed. They did not have a lot to offer when we went the girl working informed us they where out of quite a few items and waiting on a delivery. The eggs where a bit undercooked and the bread soggy but my sandwich was edible.

The staff is incredible friendly and the house is so cozy you want to sit and eat for hours. The sandwich portions are small but delicious.

We were far from home in MA and looking for a good breakfast. This place is exactly what we wanted. Great homestyle cooking. The eggs, pancakes, and scones were great. The house coffee was good (and they can make espresso drinks). The fruit bowl was only so-so. We thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast there. The staff is very friendly as were the other diners.
