4 reviews for Coffee On the Patio
This place is so cute! The owners are husband and wife and have really made this coffee shop a welcoming place. And, of course, free Wi-Fi! (Take that, stupid Starbucks!) Their coffee is super good. If you're into frou frou stuff like sugar free syrups, they have the best selection I've ever seen. Yes, you can get a non fat, sugar free white chocolate latte. If you like that sort of thing. Which I do.
I don't come often because it's out of the way but they tell me they have open mic night and other events. So college students in the San Jose area, if you need a place to study, check out Coffee On the Patio!
And if you're a roaming business person like me who needs a clean and friendly place to do work, you should drop by too!
This place is no longer in business. I tried to go several times, as it was within walking distance of our neighborhood, but alas, it was always closed. No big surprise, then, that they're closed for good.
This is a privately owned coffee shop. Unfortunately the owner has no idea how to run a business. There are children running all over the place and toys littering the floor.
There is also a group of unwelcoming "regulars", very buddy buddy with the owner, who make you feel like an outsider.
They serve food, but SubWay quality at $10 a sandwich. Also, if you are diabetic or have different food needs they are unaccommodating. They DO NOT offer sugar free syrups. How hard or costly is it to purchase 1 bottle of sugar free syrup... :(
Also, they take cash only BUT do not have a sign posted. Hello!!??!? It's 2009, no one uses cash, be a real business and contract with Visa and Mastercard... Or stick with cash and add posts for people to tie their freaking horses to! This is not 1901.
They also have very odd hours. Basically only open til about 2pm. I do NOT recommend this coffee shop. But hopefully the horrible management will cause them to go out of business soon. Its a waste of space that a good business could be in.
Coffee On The Patio has unfortunately closed. It was an absolute favorite of mine, and I was always happy to go there every week. The owners were extremely friendly, and I always wound up in fascinating discussions with the other attendees.
It was a local community staple, and I miss it.
