Review from Jennifer H.

It's the only coffeehouse in the part of Duluth I'm always in. The coffee is good, especially considering your only other options in the area are the Holiday station and... well, that's about it.
The service is always friendly and the drive-thru is efficient. They make a mean latte. However, sometimes it's a little slow because they've only got one person on staff. The inside is small but cozy.Listed in: Da Nort'.

Review from Bruce Daniel K.
Madison, WI
I really like the Coffee Cabin. Since I find myself in the area on a fairly regular basis I've made it a point to find the best local stops for a quick cup of joe. I've got no problem with Caribou Coffee or Starbucks but if I can I'll go to someplace unique since you can get chain coffee anywhere. The Coffee Cabin is situated in an off-the-beaten-path location on Rice Lake Road, north of the intersection with Martin Road. There isn't a whole lot of development out in that area yet, but it seems like there is always a steady stream of traffic. The coffee shop itself occupies about half of a small new commercial building on the west side of the road. I probably drove by it several times before even noticing its existence, but now that I know the location I never miss it.
There's a drive-thru window on the side of the building but I've never been in that much of a hurry. I always head in and get a refill of my travel mug and peruse the different muffins and scones. The interior is like most coffee shops - a counter at one end and an assortment of tables, chairs and couches throughout the rest of the shop. It seems like a relaxing place to spend an afternoon, but I've always got a lot more miles to go before I can relax so I've never stayed. I don't get fancy with my coffee. I like strong dark roast straight up, no sugar or cream. For that reason I can't tell you how efficient the baristas are or how the foam on the cappuchino comes out, but I can attest that the coffee is strong and delicious. The price is comparable with any other coffee shop and the staff has always been friendly. The last time I was there I noticed a small lunch menu, consisting of sandwiches and soups. That caught my attention, and if I find myself in the area around lunchtime I'll make it a point to stop.
