Well she does it again!
Cassandra never ceases to amaze me with how natural she makes my hair look. Us gals who lighten up don't want anyone to know we are fakin' the blond (unless you go platinum!) and she really does a superior job taking her time and perfectly placing my highlights.
Not to mention she is just an awesome human being, PERIOD! She is fashion forward, current in all the hair trends, and just a great person to chat with as you get your hair 'did'. If you are thinking of making a change, I suggest you try Cassandra... you will NOT be disappointed!

Thanks to Tiffany England, my "chemically treated" blond hair is looking and feeling better than ever. I love coming to my appointments as not only do I receive excellent service and always leave looking great, but Tiffany is such a sweetheart that it helps make process time fly by as well. Thanks for saving my hair, Tiff!
Penny just started doing spray tans here, and she does such a fantastic job! She's really careful, and a very kind person. She even came in on her day off to do a last minute spray tan for my mom and me. I can't say enough about how great she is -- I highly recommend her for your next spray tan!
Also, my long-time esthetician, Marci, recently moved over to Coconuts, and she's excellent. I always have fantastic brows after seeing her!! She's so sweet, too!
I can't wait until we are back in San Diego so I can go here all the time -- I love the whole salon.
I felt the need to give this salon four stars from my original two because after talking to the stylist and the salon manager they are giving me a refund. They were very nice and understanding about the whole thing. Not all salons are willing to give a refund.

My girl Cassandra just moved here from East County. Its a lovely salon, I really like it!
I had been going to Mary Ann for cuts and color for a few years before but had stopped for a while. I had it cut short 5 or 6 months before at a different stylist in Northern California by my college, and needless to say it didn't look that great anymore. I decided I wanted to get a wave or soft curl perm put in my hair for the summer to make the awkward length it was stuck at less awkward. It was surprisingly hard to find a stylist who would do any perm besides straightening, and even harder to find an affordable one. I decided to call up Mary Ann and came in for a trim and to get my perm done. She was really thorough with all the chemicals and made sure the rods were all sized and rolled just right. Before starting the perm just did a little clean-up trim and told me to wait until the perm had settled and relaxed a little before giving it a more thorough cut. At first I was a bit skeptical because the curls were tighter than what I had hoped for, but just like she said after about a week they had relaxed to a nice, bouncy-wavy curl. I came back to have her give it a little more shape (which she did without charge), and I love it!
Aside from the great work, the salon atmosphere is really fun, they offer a huge array of beauty services and products, and everyone is very friendly.
