Shoko is the bomb nail tech!!!
She's the only person in the South Bay that I have found who does 3D Nail Art and possibly will be my long time nail "go-to" gal. I had an appointment with her today and I finally made one after seeing a bunch of my friends who had some amazing nail art.
Shoko not only is talented, but she's also a great person. I walked in and was greeted instantly by a warm smile and from then she proceeded to do my nails. The choices she has in terms of designs were endless. She also has a ton of nail art magazines to look at, but I decided to just choose whatever she had on her display as there was just too much fun goodies to choose from. One of the things I appreciated about her was the fact that she was very informative in regards to the products she uses as well as how to maintain this lovely set I've got. She uses a product called Calgel which is actually a healthier alternative for the nails and has a lot more longevity.
I'm a stylist and many of my other hairstylist friends go to her so our hands are always roughed up by something. All my other friends who have been getting their nails done by her always look great even 4 weeks out so I will definitely be posting an update to let you all know how its going when its time for my next appointment.
The cost is a bit pricey for nails, but its completely different from anything I've ever seen so with that in mind, it's all well worth it. Shoko even has a blog so to see more of her work feel free to check it out.

Like Lorrie N's review below, my review is older. I had my one and only appointment here in the late summer of '08. So I can't say how it is now, but this was my experience.
After reading all the positive reviews on yelp and citysearch, I was super excited to try this place out. I really needed a haircut and this seemed to be a well-recommended place.
Unfortunately, it didn't go well for me.
This place is small and rather tacky. The receptionist was cordial, but she knew that I was a new client and didn't offer to show me around the salon or offer me a drink of water or tea. I used to be a receptionist at a high-end salon, and I know that these things are basic if you want to make clients feel comfortable and welcome.
My stylist was nice ( I don't remember her name), but she didn't listen to what I wanted at all. I have very thick hair, and I wanted long layers to help thin it out a bit. I specifically asked her not to put chunky layers in my hair because it ends up looking bulky and awful. I also asked her to take not more than three inches off...I was trying to grow it out.
She cut at least seven inches off.
She put blunt, un-flattering layers all around my face and in the back.
To top it off, she caught my bangs in the flat iron and TORE a bunch of the hairs out of my head! They have yet to fully grow back!
Also, I am not very good at asserting myself. I disliked the cut immediately when I saw what she had done, but I thought that if I went home and washed and styled it myself it would be ok.
It wasn't.
Also, I got eyelash extensions the same day from a lady I'm assuming is the owner of the salon.
She was cold, almost to the point of rudeness. The space she used to put my extensions on was dark, small, and hardly secluded from the studio space. It was not relaxing, and didn't seem very professional.
So, my state of mind is already not great, given that I have a terrible haircut. To top it all off I'm not wearing any makeup in order to get my eyelash extensions. I'm hoping that after they get put on I'll be super happy with at least that...
Not so.
I look in the mirror after the lady has finished applying my eyelashes... and I can't tell the difference. I ask her how many eyelashes she actually applied and she says,"Oh, I don't do dramatic extensions."
Uh....ok, but I just payed $300 for this bullshit.
Like an idiot I left without asking for my money back.
Never again.
There are tons of nicer salons in Los Gatos. Don't go here.
Marisa is absolutely wonderful! Last week, I did a horrible home dye job, during which my hair was taken from a platinum blonde to a dark, dark auburn-red, almost a burgundy. I went in the next morning, and Marisa not only brought my hair back to it's natural color, but it looks even better than before! My hair isn't even damaged. She truly is a miracle worker, I don't know how she did it. I definitely will be going to this salon for ALL of my hair emergencies in the future.
Marisa went out of her way to accommodate my busy schedule and gave me the best color of my life and a cut that suits my classic style but is very "now." I was so impressed with the time she took to consider and present all my options, and how carefully she listened to my rambling descriptions of what I thought I wanted, and how magically she synthesized all of that into a beautiful result! Definitely will go back, over and over again! All that for about half of what I used to pay somewhere else. What a find!
What a GREAT feeling!!
I headed into Coco10 a few days ago for one of my regular eyebrow waxing and facial appointments w/ RoseMarie. While I was checking in, I overheard a gentleman say that "This salon is one of the cleanest I've ever seen..." As he was leaving, I noticed that he was a State Health Inspector!! I had to give Coco10 a shout out!!!
This experience only confirmed what I have known for years. Places and people that are so dedicated and trustworthy are hard to find...I couldn't keep all of this valuable info. all to myself!

Disclaimer: My actual experience here was about one year ago. I know it's better to write a review within a few weeks, so I am letting you know that. Maybe there has been improvement in the last year, but the thing is, when it comes to Brazilian waxing, you're not going to get a second chance if you did a messy job the first time.
I have a very clear memory of this experience and I could not let this one go. My hopes for this review is that the Studio will take everything into consideration and be sure to try and improve from there.
Studio itself is clean, dark, small. There is a receptionist. Not very nice. No one is friendly.
Rose Marie (the waxing lady) was very closed off in personality and attitude. The feeling I got was she felt as though she was very high up there.
1. She LEFT* the room so I could undress.
2. Gave me a (small) hand towel to cover myself with.
3. She REENTERED* the room.
4. She waxed me in the dark (practically).
5. She LEFT* the room, immediately, so I could get dressed.
6. I examined the job and found a large patch of hair. It wasn't easy to check because the light was so low, I couldn't tell if it was hair or a shadow at times. Do I need to bring my own flashlight and mirror next time?
7. I had to get dressed.
8. I had to LEAVE* the room in order to find her, come back in, get undressed.
9. She waxed again where I showed her, doesn't check her work. She LEFT* again.
10. I check again, more strands. [Darn it. This is not working. As soon as I get home I clean up the job with tweezers. Yes, painful, but better than having to consider running into the hair studio half naked.]
* Her "LEAVING" is a problem, because each time she opened the door (to the salon/studio) and there were people out there. That is not a good experience. You don't know if someone is going to walk by. You can't stick your head out with a half naked body because everything shows and it's a small studio. I would rather not share myself with your other clients.
I was very unhappy with this experience. I do hope they have gotten better since this and that this review will help with future customers. If they are that good, they will ask their customers to review them on Yelp (if they want the attention) and my low review will not affect them overall.
Rosemarie is the only one I trust with my face. I have been with Rosemarie for the past 13 years. She is an excellent clinical Esthetician. She is very professionaI and knowledgable. I can not imagine going anywhere else.
I was looking for a last minute cut and found a great one here. They took me as a walk-in and helped me feel comfortable. I have never been there, but I do work nearby so it was convenient. Lori did a great job on my hair and was very accomodating to my suggestions. The price was reasonable and the cut was great. I walked out with a smile.
Melissa is super nice and does a wonderful coloring job. She added a bunch of high/low lights and it looks really good. Can't wait to go back to get my hair done again.
Danielle is the best stylist and colorist I've ever had!! I actually had my cut and color about a month ago and still get compliments. I had shoulder length dark brown hair and wanted a style that was chin length and blonde(not just highlights) BLONDE. I brought a picture and told here what I wanted she said she might not have time to do the color, because it would be a long process, my hair is naturally dark dark brown. She did the cut and it was awesome. She took some of my hair that she cut to see how my hair would react to the bleach with I thought was great, I felt very comfortable with her right away and she 's a great listener, she asks questions too, does'nt just say OK and do whatever like other stylists I've had. So I went back to have my blonde done, she showed me 3 different shades that she did with my hair and we got started. It was great, I went back a week later and got some hightlights. I look better each time I see her. Can't wait to make my next appointment. Thank you so much Danielle see you soon.
I have been going to Rose Marie for skincare for years. Her clean environment, consistent results and bright personality are what keep me coming back. I visit her on a regular basis for brow and bikini waxes and eyelash tints. She is extremely professional and I would recommend her to everyone. She is well priced and very knowledgeable about skincare and products.
