My husband and I celebrated our 38th anniversary at Clyde's last night.  Fortunately I reserved a table ahead of time on Open Table (highly recommended because they were full with a line).  I even put on the reservation what the occasion was and from the time we checked in for our table people were wishing us Happy Anniversary!  Very impressive.  We sat in the first dining room which also had a bar and a piano.  It's close to the front door but one of the quieter dining rooms.  There was a gentleman sitting at the piano right next to our table playing all evening.  He even took my request.

This was my second time at this Clydes, the first being Thanksgiving when my experience was not so memorable.  P. Fox, the manager made it up to me by offering a gift letter to come back and try again.  I did and we loved it!  Thanks P. Fox.  Clydes has been redeemed in my humble sight.

Our server was named Jean and she was awesome.  As I explained to her I have a very uneducated pallette when it comes to wines so asked for her recommendation for a step up from my normal (ahem...Beringers).  She suggested a white that was perfect and even offered some advice on wine education.  Jean was helpful, attentive and pleasant and made our experience all the more special.

I got the ribeye and my husband the trout for our entree. First we started with the Calamari with Habanero Jelly which was unsual and tasty.  You usually see calamari served with a marinara.  We followed that with salads. I had the caesar salad which was the only questionable dish of the evening.  It was essentially an entire head of romaine lettuce with the end cut off leaving large ungainly leaves spilling off the plate. There were a couple of toasted bread points on top rather than the traditional croutons.  I gave up eating the salad as it was impossible to cut without pushing it off the plate.  Jean very kindly wrapped that to go when I could get it home and chop it up.  Suggest the chef rethink the presentation.

My steak was cooked perfectly and very tastey.  At 8 oz. it was just the right size, especially with the starters we ordered.  It was presented on top of a bed of mashed potatoes and sauteed spinich and mushrooms.  My husbands trout was panko crusted and served with a hollandaise on top and a side of roasted potatoes and green beans.  He enjoyed it.  I always find eating trout difficult as it comes with the skin still on one side.

We went all out and ordered the recommended dessert of flourless chocolate cake with a side of vanilla ice cream.  We shared this rich little slice of heaven and left licking our lips.  The side of coffee wasn't the best I've had which just means I'm not wild about the brand they use.  I'm pretty much a coffee snob, so its difficult to find that perfect cup everywhere.  Personally I think restaurants, especially those in the $$$ price range should pull out the stops and only buy and serve the finest coffee from fresh ground beans...but that's just me.  All in all we left full and happy and will definitely be back.  This restaurant is conveniently located for people living in Loudoun County and has an unusually beautiful and warm ambiance which makes dining out feel like a special occasion. Outdoor dining is available when weather is more accomodating.

This is the best Clyde's I've been to so far. It's set in an old American house with a fireplace, big leather chairs in the waiting area, and beautiful artwork hung on the walls. It feels like a super fancy, pricey, elegant restaurant, but the price range is totally reasonable considering the ambiance and setting ($9-15). The menu changes often.

The food is, of course, amazing. I've never ordered anything I didn't love at Clyde's. The portions are generous and I always end up taking some home. The service is great, and I can't say enough about the setting. You'll feel like you've been transported to a different time period. It's classy but not snooty.

Every year my fiance's company has their Christmas party at Clydes Willow Creek Farm.  What makes this place different from the other Clydes establishments?  Well firstly, it's in Ashburn, so as far as  I'm concerned, it's in the boondocks.  Is the food good, of course, it's Clydes.  As usual for this chain, order the seasonal specialties, they are always the best on the menu.

So what's different about this Clydes?  It's  huge, it has a cigar bar, an indoor bar, an outdoor bar a private bar for private parties, and I"m sure I'm missing some stuff.  You can easily loose people here.  Fun for parties....too far out for me to go any other time.  Service is good.

Went to Clydes for dinner on Saturday evening. What a stunning space. It's truly massive with many many dining areas and rooms including a beautiful outdoor space. As soon as you walk in you see high ceilings with a Colorodo Ski resort / Barn feel. You have equestrian artifacts including a full sized horse carriage all over the place.

We first sat down for a beer at the bar. Bartender was amazing..friendly and knowledgeable. Looked like many of the people at the bar were regulars.

After our drink, we were seated at a large table in one of the large dining room and besides our table was what looked like the bow of a ship in the form of a mermaid!

Our server was awesome..very friendly and knowledgeable. Selected an excellent Chilean Malbec for the table at a very fair price.

I ordered the Haddock, my friends got the Filet Mingnon, Lamb Stew, Chicken pasta..everything was great and very reasonably priced. This meal would have cost us 50% more for a similar level of food and service at most places.

By the time we left (8pm..we got there rather early), the massive place was packed which is not a small feat for the area.

In all, highly recommended. We'll definitely be back and perhaps try the DC / MD locations including the Old Ebitt Grill.

A feast for the eyes as well as the stomach as this Colonial restaurant formed out of the joining of several old Colonial style/era buildings brought down from New England.

Beautiful original and reproduction early American artifacts fill every room. Soft lighting, deep, rich colors, friendly staff and good food make it a perfect place for an intimate dinner or a special group event.

Menu is not extensive but it's good with the most expensive item being only $23.  Great place, a definitely don't-miss when visiting the Ashburn, D.C. or Manassas areas.

Awesome Food, Drinks, Service, Bar staff, and hospitality. The only thing they lacked was efficient Greeters. We made reservations at 6:45, arrived at 6:40 and didn't hear nother word until we got through our second round of bar drinks at 7:30 and approached them again. They seemed in disarray of some sort. That didn't take away from the Food...the Food...WOW. The Bartender was cool, the Waiter was great, the wine was dee-lish. My family of 4 stopped here on our way to our NYE Party and he even took a pic of us all. I popped the question later on this night, so this really started it off well. The decor is really cool too with 2 huge nutcrackers awaiting your entrance at the front door and carriages hanging in the bar/dining area. I also was cool with the tab although a tad up there in price, but worth it we felt. Happy New Year to Clydes Willow Creek Farm!

I've been to some of the other Clyde's locations (Reston, Gallery Place), and I have to say that what puts the Cylde's Will Creek Farm over the top is the atmosphere.  The restaurant is huge and each section has a different feel.  There are usually fires lit in the fireplaces and there's always something to look at.  There are at least three bars and each one provides a different level of social engagement.  They always do something fun during the holidays so make sure to swing by then for a special treat.

As for food - I always get an order of the buffalo wings to go with my meal.  You wouldn't expect it at a place like this but they are some of the most delicious wings I've had.

Thanks to the large size of the restaurant you never have to wait for a table.  The staff are friendly and accommodating.  Whether you're going on a date or taking a bunch of friends out for a good time, Clyde's is a great place to visit.

Elegant and special. My fave restaurant in Ashburn.

    I enjoyed a whole Maine lobster for $19 (Sept 1 - Oct 31).

Consistent quality of food and service.  Accommodating to families with young children.

I've only been here for happy hours. Foods that I've had were pretty good. They mostly ranged between burgers and wings. I will give the food I've had here 4 stars.

However, the real draw of this place is all of the hot Ashburn cougars who show up during these happy hours.  You've got to understand that Ashburn cougars are a different species than those from other regions of the Mid-Atlantic. They're close cousins of the Chantilly, South Riding, and Reston cougars, but there's just something about them that sets them apart. I just can't put my finger on what it is.

Holy shit there are a lot of them. Holy shit there are a lot of hot cougars. Especially during the summer when they're dressed more scantily. I give the cougar-attractability 5 stars.

I was underwhelmed by my experience at Clyde's. I used the reviews on YELP as my guide on where to go when in the area.  My main complaint was the service, I couldn't get waited on and the food took forever and I was the only person sitting in the bar area.

The food was ok, I went with the special...when in Rome...I wish I hadn't done it.  The prime rib left a bunch to be desired.

I probably won't go out of my way to go back.  The place was busy, so if you believe in the 'Wisdom of Crowds' you might want to try it out.

I visited here last weekend while in town visiting my brother and his wife.

This place would have gotten much better Rating if they improve their Service.
Property itself is extremly beautiful and I love the differnt rooms and the area for differnt moods and occasions.

However at the end of the day if your waiter lack personality and sharpeness then all good elements are no longer as good.

Food was good however I did more of a serving than the waiter.

This place is awesome, for any occasion.  Recommend you make a reservation for the weekend.  We've been there for romantic dinners, with the kids, and with other couples just to hangout at the bar.  The place used to be a working farm and the back dinning room is within the old barn so there are some cool things for the kids to look at.  The menu changes frequently and the specials are our favorite.  There is plenty of parking.  They do have a great kids' menu with mac & cheese, etc...  They also carry some pretty cool beers on tap and the wine selection is large.  The staff has always been friendly and the wait staff are usually on-top of things.  I think they have life entertainment of weekends in certain rooms after 9pm.

    Wow Clyde's. REALLY?!
It wasn't so much that this particular location was "bad," it just wasn't very good. Clyde's sets a pretty high standard when it comes to the dining out experience, and perhaps it was the distance (BFE, VA) away from where the "good" Clyde's are, or maybe the bar is set a little bit lower because the people out here don't really have any place else to eat.

Regardless, the event started out rolling (except for the host didn't know exactly where to sit us - it's a good thing she walked us all the way to the section before realizing this). I'm always happy when I go to Clyde's. I know the food will be delicious and the service will be prompt and attentive. Rather than sip the hair of the dog, drinks were ordered sans alcohol along with a few of the appetizers.

The fried calamari was superbly flavored with the habenero jelly, cilantro, and lime juice. I even enjoyed the crab and artichoke dip, although not something I would ordinarily order on my own. The duck egg rolls were definitely a hit with the table, for sure. The soup, well the soup probably would have tasted good had it been ordered and delivered, but alas it wasn't (I just heard a star fall).

Admittedly, I am a plate stacker. Nothing grates at me like a table set with dirty dishes (and empty glasses), so I pile them all neatly on top of each other, and so as to make it less of a chore, I move said pile to the end of the table. I believe that this serves two (maybe three) functions. One, it makes them much easier to transport, and two, it lets our friendly server (who happens to be working for tips) know that the round is complete. The third is it possibly makes me look like a total douche who wants to control the pace of things, but I'm OK with that.

Well, the manager eventually made his way to pick up the dirty wares. I saw him saunter over towards the wait station, exchange words with our server, and walk off with our plates. I'm not really certain as to the dialogue within the conversation, but I can assure you that it wasn't productive. How do I know? Because 10 minutes later, after making several rounds of the dining room, our server comes back to the table with a perplexed countenance. "Your appetizers should be out in a moment," he says.

    *CLUTCH THE PEARLS*
(I self-edited my response to him)

"We've already ate those and sent the plates back. Your manager actually walked off with them not too long ago. I think we know what we'd like for brunch.." or something like that.

    **TIME PASSES**
(I had to use the bathroom and was uncomfortably stared at by the same manager who grabbed our plates. There's something unsettling about a guy who will stare at you as you walk down a long corridor, but says nothing.. guy or girl.. it's not gender specific awkwardness)
    **MORE TIME PASSES**

    YAY, FOOD!
It was OK. Honestly, I don't remember. Usually, once I've reached the point of fed up that now I'm just looking to leave, I should just leave. We should have let the appetizers be the pinnacle of the dining experience, and left on good footing. I think there were some eggs benedict ordered, a fried chicken and something that came with a fruit bowl on the side. **SideNote: I've never left Clyde's unimpressed before**

So, now that the food business is taken care of, the only thing left is the check. The check is the easiest thing to get right, right? The server wants to get paid, the restaurant wants to get paid, and we wanted to leave. 2/3 on one card, representing the couple, and 1/3 on the other, representing the completion of the menagerie. Our waiter somehow managed to drool on himself, yet again.

On the whole, the calendar of events that they have through this particular site MIGHT make another journey to Willow Creek palatable, but otherwise, I will stick to the jubilant feeling harnessed from dining at one of their inner-beltway locations. But, should I decide to venture out through Sod's Country again, I would hope that I recognize it again as a Clyde's because it feels like a Clyde's and doesn't just look like one.

We've dined at Willow Creek several times -- most recently this week.  It never fails to please.  Both in atmosphere and quality of the food, it is among the top three restaurants in Loudoun County (Tuskie's and Lightfoot being the other two).  In terms of ambiance, it might only be surpassed by Lightfoot but that is subjective; they are both very nice in their own way.

This place opened up shortly after I moved out of Ashburn, so I haven't had the time to enjoy it as much as I think I would.

I love the bar atmosphere at this place, and have had a great time among friends each time we've tossed a few back up here.  Bartenders have always been cool, but like most places, it's hard getting that initial drink.  After that though, you're in.

The food is good, but not spectacular.  I'm not too sure what draws people so much to Clyde's in general touting it as a super restaurant.  I think it's good, but that's about it.

I was at a large going away party  last weekend at Clydes, and was very impressed.  My crabcakes were some of the best I had ever had in my life--lotsa crabs, little cake-age--and the raspberry sorbet was the perfect dessert on a hot summer afternoon.

The decor is beautiful and that says a lot, since I"m not a big "hunt country" theme person.

Our waiter was a little overwhelmed, but recovered nicely.  I wish that it wasn't so far out in the boonies!

Question hotshot, you're on your way to a holiday party out in the boonies, having prepared a dish all day for it and setting up a babysitter for the night, when you realize once you get to the home, that the party is scheduled for the following weekend. What do you do?

Well, if you're anything like me, your arms are slumped over the steering wheel, mouth open, marveling over your utter stupidity. You're also trying to sneak out of your friends driveway so just you and your wife knows how big of a jackass you are.

Hopefully you also have an understanding wife, who then asks what's to eat around here. Fortunately we were less than 5 minutes from Clyde's Willow Creek Farm. As much as this restaurant is a destination in of itself, this was not how we intended to visit it.

This is a gorgeous restaurant, on a sprawling site, with its massive parking lot to boot. Inside, it's all broken up into different rooms, making this mammoth estate feel more cozy and inviting. We were seated in the area that felt like the main barn, with the wooden beams towering above. The room is beautiful.

Appetizer was some soft of Steak sandwich, wrapped and fried up like an egg roll with accompanying cheese sauce. It was good, but somewhat of a hot mess. The size of these rolls made them a bit silly to eat with your hands. Better to share them with 6 others cause they're quite large. I ordered my usual salmon, served with potato puree, spinach and cranberries on top, which was excellent. Wife had the seafood pasta casino, which also was a great, flavorful dish. Desert unfortunately missed, wanting a comforting brownie Sunday, but had zero fudge and dry brownie.

This is a great place to spend a festive night out. With a nice looking holiday drink list to boot. Just behind us there was a smaller nook room with a guy playing holiday acoustic music, where the middle-aged Ashburn women seemed to be feeling. We did feel like some of the younger folk in the dinning area. And our server was a somewhat young flake himself, being a little too helpful with all his recommendations..

Overall the night could have been a lot worse. Arriving to the restaurant at 6:30, they were able to seat us right away. I just wonder how 96 cocktail meatballs I prepared will hold up till next week.

How is it possible I haven't written a review for Clyde's yet?  I could have sworn I already did, but apparently not.

    Clyde's ROCKS.

I do NOT normally give 5-star ratings because I want a 5-star rating from me to really MEAN something.  Clyde's totally earns it.

My wife and I only recently got smartphones that enable us to "check-in" places, otherwise you'd see a bunch more check-ins for both of us here.  This is our go-to place for birthdays, anniversaries, nice dinner out at a unique local restaurant when friends come to visit, date night, date lunch, I'm craving barbecue on a Tuesday night in the summer, I'm craving something extraordinary with local seasonal produce...  You get the idea.

My favorite time of the year is autumn, and Clyde's feeds that love of autumn with specials like butternut squash ravioli and potato leek soup.  In the summer time they do a Tuesday night barbecue.  The food is always extraordinary here, and the service is very highly trained, top-notch professionals.

The only down side of Clyde's is the price.  We would eat there every night if we didn't have a mortgage to pay.  As a result, we have to come up with excuses why we're celebrating something to justify us going here more often than our checkbook says we should.

Don't get me wrong.  You TOTALLY get what you pay for at Clyde's.  The food, service, and atmosphere all make it totally worth it (otherwise I wouldn't be giving them 5 stars).

I've been to Clyde's twice now, above nine months apart.  Living in Denver, it's a change of scenary.  I hear it's a chain, which is ok, since I've never seen it outside of the DC area.

We started with a friendly front-desk person taking a drink order, then the waiter coming over, explaining the specials (Rock Lobster), and we got the hummus appetizer (which came with warmed pita bread, carrots, red peppers and cucumbers) and a cheese platter (four different cheeses, with a plum compote in the center and a raisin nut bread).  Both were excellent, with the cheeses being a step above what I would normally get, and the pita actually tasting good. The entree for each of us was a grilled swordfish, with wild mushrooms on top, and sitting atop a lentil stew type   thing.  Both delicious.  We ended with a nice medium roast coffee.

The location itself is exceptional - a very nice building.

So why only 4 stars?  Well, there are two things that bring it down.  One is the price - it's a pricier place than I am used to (and I didn't even pay), and the second is that the process of getting in and out for dinner seemed a little automatic.   We'd just finished an above-average meal and it didn't even register, because the service was so mechanical.

Yes, I'd go again, but I'm not going "Wow - I have to go there again SOON".

Recently took our family here for a celebratory lunch on a Sunday after church. It was busy, as always, but we were seated quickly in the big dining room, which has the large open barn roof atop. Like most Clyde's locations, there are many details to feast your eyes upon in the decor, and it is really warm and cozy. Despite the many people dining that day, we didn't feel crushed or overwhelmed.

We had an assortment of burgers, salads, fish and other dishes. Everything was tasty, hot, served quickly and handled well. A really good choice for most any occasion.

Very nice decor.  Fancy and a little pricey, but the food is great.

Calamari frita was amazing, I've never had calamari like that.  The flat bread was so fresh tasting.  I had a hummus wrap which was decent, but everyone's dish in my party looked amazing.  The salads were huge and fresh.

Clyde's was an excellent place to host my engagement party! The event coordinator, Melissa was absolutely amazing. She helped us choose a menu and the room was set up beautifully when we arrived. Since the party was for my fiance and I, we didn't eat much since we spent the time mingling, but all of the guests loved the food! We had the party in the two rooms all the way to the left of the restaurant when you walk in. We even had our very own bar, which was so amazing.

They even baked 4 dozen cupcakes which we had ordered, and they were really good. The service was great too-- we had numerous waiters walking around with appetizers for people to enjoy. If you're thinking about an event such as a rehearsal dinner or a wedding, I say go for it! We were extremely impressed!

Being a former Clyde's busboy and waiter through college, at Tyson's and The Old Ebbitt, I cringed hearing four horror stories, all from reliable sources, about apathetic service and botched up orders at the four-year old Willow Creek.

Never fearing a challenge, I took my family, a group of ten, out for a birthday dinner. Why is a 12-cylinder Rolls Royce pinging on only a V8?

SERVICE: Our waiter, REUBEN, ROCKED. Very attentive, pleasant thorough welcoming any item substitutions. A few exceptions:

    1. Back-waiters repeatedly mismatched multiple orders, multiple times, with the rightful guests (ouch) and

    2. An early empty appetizer dish "languished" on the table well through the busing of our dessert plates. (ouch, ouch)

Either the waitstaff isn't communicating and backing up the back-wait staff or vice versa. They always need to work as a team covering each other for smooth service. I wasn't feeling it.

FOOD: Generally good and reasonable value: turkey chili was perfect, crab cakes - excellent; artichoke crab dip was on the bland side. Everything was fresh and vegetables were expertly done.

ATMOSPHERE: Doesn't get any better. Owner John Laytham has beautifully designed and furnished another gem!

SUMMARY: Rumor goes that waiter alumnus make the best (or worst) restaurant critics. Willow Creek is very good but needs to get, and stay, on its service game. Continuing lack of attention to "back" details will kill you, slowly overtime.
With back-wait staff receiving some quick and consistent brush-up service training, Clyde's could have multiple raving fan reviews for a very long time to come. Solution?

John, if you're reading this or your managers, what happened to the days of Gary Glover's training standards? A small price to pay for customers to experience consistently proper service and keep them coming back? Just saying.

I was excited to visit the newest addition to the Clyde's restaurant group because I have awoken many mornings on the floor of the spacious bar in Old Ebbitt Grill.

With 13 restaurants across the DC metro area Clyde's has become a culinary force to be reckoned with. One of the most exemplary features of the Clyde's dynasty is that every restaurant is a little different in architecture, decor, menu and the clientèle they are trying to attract. The classic Georgetown Clyde's is obviously focused on catering to the effete fops and dandies of NW while Clyde's newest edition in Broadlands is making some bold statements about the desperate, middle aged Kentucky derby cougar crowd.  Seriously, there were more wrinkles in the bar than a kennel full of Shar-Pei.

The drinks and the food are okay. Some items on the menu have been exceptional while others have been mediocre and even bad. All of the soups have been consistently good and so have the sea food entrees (crab cakes, trout parmesan and tuna steak are really good here). The service has been just as protean as the food. Some nights I've had exceptional waiters, and other nights they've been so bad as to have been non-existent.

The best thing about this Clyde's is the immense size of the restaurant and the quality of its interior. All in all, this is a pretty decent restaurant for the Ashburn\Broadlands area. Just make sure you bring bear spray and cougar mace.

It's not like the Clydes in Georgetown, Reston, Tysons or Columbia.  It's an amazing place to see.  The menu is better, the bar tenders and first rate.  The atmosphere is so unique.  If you're out in Ashburn/Broadlands ever, it's worth stopping in during the fall, sitting out in the garden and having lunch.  Four stars on good service, good food and a must see at least once.

what a beautiful establishment, we had a family get together here and it was a first for us all.  the restoration looks amazing and it just felt homey and comfy.  Great for family and looks like a great place to hang at the bar with friends.  During the fall, I went to a family fun day on the grounds...they had a petting zoo, BBQ, band, face painting, pony rides, etc.  It was great fun for the kids and free!

the food was very good as well and I will def make a return trip!

This is an unexpected gem in the middle of Ashburn. Made of some old farm buildings, the atmosphere is very inviting. Great prices and good typical American fare (steaks, fish, pork chops, etc). Menu changes with the seasons - they keep it fresh and tasty. Great spot for a date.

As much as I love Clyde's the staff at this suburban outpost was just a little too brash.  Our waitress was lovely but the sophomoric boys serving other tables and shouting at one another really made my evening feel more like a day at the ball park than a night at dinner.  Considering we drove 40 minutes to try the other side of Clyde's having to deal with children serving tables makes me think I won't be repeating this trip.

Host/Hostesses were very friendly.  Great food, reasonable prices and a very nice atmosphere.  The waitress was very nice but I think she was very new. They maybe could use a bus boy to refill the drinks.   Nice music on the patio except for the smokers!  They also has some nice live music.  The $2.00 dessert was delicious.  BTW half price burgers on Saturday between 10am - 4pm.

First of all the decor is amazing .  We started with cocktails ( some kind of strawberry lemonade and ice tea).  My wife had shrimp cocktail and I had the wedge salad which was watery.  My wife ordered the pork ribs and i had the crab cakes.  Service was attentive.  We watched what people were getting for dessert on other tables and decided on the PB pie and a raspberry pound cake.  We will be back.  Id like to try the trout that everyone seems to rave about.
