Um...stay here.
Clean, chic rooms. Free wi-fi. Work out facilities. Spacious bath rooms. Samsung flat screen. Modern Art adorning the walls. Comfy bed. Eggcellent location. If forced to critique I'd say I was sad not to have a mini-fridge, but that's okay!
Loves me some Club Quarters. I feel real grown up.
Found this gem of a hotel on some Priceline/Orbitz/Expedia site. I was beyond impressed with the place and didn't want to leave, considering how cheap it was! The room was gorgeous and very clean. Nice big bed, super soft pillows that boyfriend and I deemed "marshpillows", nice little flat screen TV, very modern look and feel, good sized bathroom and lots of space.
We'd previously stayed at a Comfort Inn or some jazz off Central Park on the UWS and got hosed on that, so we were overjoyed at what Club Quarters offered. It was very nice that they offered a supply closet open to all guests which had extra pillows, blankets, coffee packets, etc, in addition to a bottled water machine.
Would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone needing to stay in NY.
Excellent value for the price!
I had to go to New York for work on short notice and found CQ on Orbitz and they had very good pricing for a room. Upon arrival we were greeted by a friendly staff and they had no problem letting us check in early (9am early). I used a private car service to and from LaGuardia and both drivers had no problem finding the place and knew exactly where it was. It's a short walk to the WTC and the 3 train is steps away from the door of the hotel.
Our room was nicely appointed and although it was a tad bit small, it's New York. I was extremely pleased with the accommodations and will be staying with Club Quarters from now on.
Tiny, tiny rooms, but at a great, great price. And the location if you're working downtown can't be beat. It's like a tiny, tiny W.
i got a great deal on CQ from priceline, and my best friend and i stayed here for 2 nights. it is right across the street from chase plaza, the subways are about a block away and its right smack in the financial district.
i found the rooms to be quite large for nyc standards and the staff was very nice. i would definitely come back here again.
Everything that i wanted to say is in Karina's review below, great deal off priceline as well, but i actually found the rooms to be too small, even for NY standards. The staff overall was very nice with the exception of one guy when we checked in. Overall good deal for the money and location is perfect.
Whenever I'm in New York for business I stay here at the CQ in Lower Manhattan. Why? well when I'm traveling on business its all about location. And this Club Quarters has the perfect location (Right smack in the middle of the Financial District, Multiple subway lines within 1-2 blocks, Plus my office is right around the corner). Staff is always friendly and knowledgeable. The rooms are clean, well kept and the perfect size for a business traveler. Free WiFi is great along with the convenience closets on each floor (Free bottled water, ironing boards, additional pillows/sheets).
While weekending in the Financial District was not ideal for me, I got a great deal here and was more than pleased with my experience. The subway was very accessible and many good weekend-worthy destinations were within walking distance. The staff was helpful and kind. While there is not much of a lobby to speak of, I did not mind. In my room, the space was amble, especially for a New York City hotel. My upgraded room included a fridge and kitchen sink (and plates, silverware, etc), which was great. While the bathroom was stark (reminiscent of Junior High shower room) and simple, it was clean. Further, the complementary bottled water was very convenient.
eh.... location... suck! it's the financial district, so after 6pm, this place is dead! the hotel itself was nice. the room was small, but decent. the staff was very friendly and accommodating.
BIGGEST ISSUE: good luck getting a cab or private car to and from this hotel! i didn't realize that most drivers had absolutely NO CLUE how to get around the downtown area. i kept saying "wall st! haven't you heard of it??!?!" i actually had to get my phone out and show my driver one day the map on my phone. EVEN THEN he had an issue! eh!!! i even had one driver ask me for directions! seriously bro? i'm from the bay! the truth was, i actually did know how to get there better than him.
If you want a hotel that's literally bordering Wall Street, it doesn't get much closer than this. Facilities are all very well maintained; probably not exceptional, but are all decent. Rooms are a bit small, but I found them to be well worth the price they charge members. Would highly recommend if you're affiliated with CQ!
