I came with a group of more than half a dozen but less than a dozen, and we all tried a different martini. (Except for lame-o me,ordering champagne.) I don't remember all the names of them, but there was not a badly-made one in the bunch.
The chocolate one was surprisingly delicious. I loved the chocolate lining the glass.
And the pricing was very reasonable. $8 a martini? Hellz yeah.
Our waitress was cute and nice too. Always a plus.
We were only at the table a short while though, so I didn't get to experience much more.
I'm from San Diego, But I visit Santa Cruz once a month. I've never been to "clouds" before..So-I decided to hit it up this past Friday.
If it wasn't for the "Caramel Apple Martini's". I would have killed myself.
The deejay wasn't rockin' it, The bartender was kind of a dick, and the dude's are totally lame.
"Hey sexy ladies, What brings you here?"
"The Caramel Apple Martini's did"
"I wish I was that Caramel on your glass"
"Uh........sweet !"
I'm pretty judgemental when it comes to certain spots.
If I were a Club Owner, I wouldn't let certain people step outside, haha.
8 times out of 10, the people standing outside......ruin it for the passerby's.
"There's 7 dudes standing outside w/ the same ED HARDY shirt on, Yeah-I'm not going in."
"Sweet. Rhinestone(d) skull jeans, Oh & your girlfriend has a pair too? Extra Sweet !".
I can forgive a lot of things, but ruining a steak is not one of them.
Came here to celebrate my sister's graduation from UC Santa Cruz.
For an appetizer I ordered the Coconut Prawns ($13.95), which were pretty good only because of that delicious sweet chili dipping sauce!!
For my main course I ordered the Blackened Ribeye with wasabi butter ($23). Instead of getting a beautifully cut piece of beef, I got this http://www.yelp.com/bi... . Obviously some leftovers from a ribeye roast. It was three pieces (each was different size and thickness) and all of them were barely holding on together with tendons or whatever that was. One side was almost burned, while another was still bleeding.... The areas between each piece were grossly undercooked... Who ever made that needed to be punched in the back of the neck..... seriously!!!
I gave them one extra star because the service was outstanding. We had a very large group and the servers were on top of everything. Also everyone else seemed to be enjoying their food and supposedly loved their Appletini with caramel.
But I can't forgive them for ruining my beef!!!!!
Had a wonderful meal at excellent value: 3 course meal for $25. Nice choices for appetizer ( I had the mixed greens with goat cheese) and a fantastic salmon in pastry entree. Veggies done just right! Fabulous berry cobbler though my husband's chocolate mouse wasn't very exciting. The only negative was the bread - very poor quality. Santa Cruz has great bakeries - get a new supplier!!!
One word...Caramel Apple Martinis.
Other than that I have no idea what else to get here. They have somewhat of danceable dance floor that is assuming you need people to make it a dance floor. The drinks are all pretty pricey, and the bar tenders are always busy, slow or not interesting/fun.
However, I feel this place has lots of potential. This place is either always packed like a can of sardines or empty like my wallet after coming back from a casino. This place plays somewhat good hiphop music, but I never want to stay here for long. It always turns into just a pit stop, but never a final destination. I usually come here to grab a couple of my friends and go on to the next bar.
However, the apple caramel martini as intimidating as it sounds, is freakin delicious. Wouldn't recommend drinking too much of these as it is an inefficient way of getting drunk and an easy way of getting a hangover.
I have eaten at Clouds a number of times and there are many items I find worth coming here for. The ahi is rare, tasty and fresh. My husband loves their burgers and pot roast. The atmosphere is not stuffy, clean and usually very lively. I have always had great service and personally, I like the look and feel of this gem.
Try it for lunch as a way to get the idea, without paying too much. I think you will enjoy it enough to keep it on your short list of places to eat in Santa Cruz.
I did not eat here so maybe i should save this review for when I do but I did want to let anyone know if they are looking for a nice place to grab a cocktail on a weekend or Friday night (before 10ish) this is a nice place and they also clear a small space toward the back where the DJ is set up so people can dance.
It was a nice place to meet up with friends to start the evening off with a few drinks but when 10:30 rolled around and the what I think are locals from Seascape came rolling in I felt like I was in a bad rendition of a Hill's episode. Seriously! Fake friends, fake tans, fake confidence, and pseudo cash. If it weren't for this we'd have stayed a little longer.
A reasonable effort, nothing definably wrong but just lacking in the wow factor.
There is a strange feel to the decor with 2 very distinct vibes going on and not really fitting together. The restaurant area feels kind of dated and the bar is trying to be trendy American Diner!
Our server was very attentive and cool when needed as we took forever to make decisions to order. His wine recommends were good and he knew what he was talking about.
Foodwise. Hmmmm? Of our 3 Aps, the crab cakes were excellent with sharp lemon beurre blanc, the grilled artichoke good but better with the sauce from the crab as the walnut aioli was just odd, the chicken satay was ok, but nothing grabbing! We had an order of Tuna Sushi, this was bulky and poor, not even sure if it was Sushi rice! Our mains were all decent, I had the Pot Roast, all part of my USA cultural immersion! The other 2 mains were steaks and both seemed to be enjoyed.
A nice evening but that was more down to company than venue...
Had a friend in town and we decided to do dinner downtown on Saturday. We had an excellent late dinner at the Red on Friday, and were looking for something similar. Clouds was the last menu we looked at, and decided to go in. I had been there one other time, but only for drinks. That night it was hot, smelly, and too crowded, so I left quickly. This being my first time for dinner, found the ambiance to be pretty relaxing. The restaurant itself seemed a little grungy, but why not give it a shot. The servers were very nice and attentive.
The food was far from amazing. I had the baked chicken with stuffed polenta, he had the stuffed bell peppers, and we shared a grilled artichoke appetizer. The sauces were bland, the food really did taste like something I could have microwaved, as a previous reviewer has said, and definitely not worth the $60 bill. I would have much rather went back to the Red for round two.
Clouds.. not again.
The rare ahi sandwich is good, better than taylors automatic refresher I think. And the fries are that yummy burger king style. Yeah you know what I'm talkin about.
but the service is sorta sketchy, the actually people and the service itself. My drink didn't get refilled half as much as it should have, and the our server was kinda awkward. I guess what I'm saying is the ambience and the service don't really match up, at least during lunch.
But if you end up over there, go for the ahi sandwich.
We gave Clouds a second chance...everything deserves a second chance.. and they had this amazing $36 dinner for two menu option. How can we go wrong with that?
It was wrong. Everything about it was. For the second time, it was evident that all of the food there is either frozen or coming from a package. It's not fresh and its full of high fructose corn syrup.
We ordered the stuffed chicken and stir-fry. The chicken was like a microwaveable chicken from Swannsons and the stir fry was so sweet we might as well of ordered it for dessert.
The wait staff was impeccable...the only saving grace.
I have sworn off Clouds forever...knowing that their head chef is a guy who unwraps frozen food entrees.
Yuck!

I am absolutely stunned that people actually think this place is good! People! Stop rating based on… Read more »
This bar at Clouds Downtown provides the great juxtaposition of classy and inexpensive. We chose to drink at Clouds because it was near where we parked downtown and looked like a fun scene.
We entered at about 9:45 PM when some were finishing up their dinner and others were starting to crowd the bar. Our first round of a rum and coke, peach absolut and soda, and a bud light was $16.50... very reasonable! We capitalized on the dinner to bar transition and took over a great table. As the bar area got extremely packed throughout the night, we comfortably chilled at our table and people-watched the bar area. A sweet cocktail waitress took care of all of our beverage orders so we never had to leave the comfort of our table and were never parched. We enjoyed a round of my new favorite drink- Captain Morgan's spiced rum and pineapple juice. Yum!!!
The people in the bar area began to look a bit uncomfy as they became more and more like sardines. Simultaneously, a long line for entry began to form outside. I think we, by lucky chance, played our night at Clouds just right!
jolly rancher
Ew. I'm from New York and my boyfriend and I stopped here while driving through Santa Cruz on a road trip. I don't remember the last time I've eaten at any restaurant this bad. The ambience made me want to throw up; to me it felt like I was eating at a rural family-style restaurant. For some reason I was expecting a 'trendy' environment and its not that at all. On top of that, the food was disgusting. I got the grilled cheese and tomato soup, and the tomato soup was SO thick and so salty that I couldn't finish it, and the grilled cheese was almost tasteless, and I don't even know how it's possible to make a grilled cheese bad.
would not go here unless my group for some reason decided to stumble in before going somewhere else.
i have been here on a number of 21st birthday bar crawls, which usually fall on more random nights to go out. it is not unusual for there to be absolutely no one in there on those nights to the point where you think they may be closed. then, for some reason on thursdays, fridays and saturdays, it is packed out the door with bro-central USA. apparently they dont know how to walk a block in either direction to find other (better) places, but that's fine with me to contain all the douche bag boys and sleezy girls in one place. seriously, it's really surprising how unclassy and unfriendly the crowd is.
they have some good drinks on their menu, but good luck even trying to get to the bar to order them. im also pretty sure that the bartenders just make up prices as they go because i have paid surprisingly drastic bills for basically the same thing.
whatever. thinking about this just put me in a bad mood, thanks.
A group of 40 for dinner is usually a very scary thing for servers...(even if a job well done equals mucho dinero in tips).
The servers and bartenders here were great at handling our large party! We had a specially-designed menu, yummy drinks, and a great atmosphere to boot!
I would definitely recommend:
-Crisp Crab Cakes (appetizer)
-Artichoke-Tomato Bruschetta (appetizer)
-Pretzel Chicken with red potatoes, wild mushrooms, caper-anchovy vinaigrette (main dish)
-The mini cheesecake (THE BEST DESSERT EVER)
They also have an extensive wine list.
This restaurant's forecast: Very bright!--No clouds in sight.
Being from Santa Cruz, I don't usually expect too much for the culinary experience given I now live in San Francisco. Thus y rating is really based on the service and ambience, although the food is reasonably good - mainstream style of food with big american portions.
As per some of the other reviews from Allison J and Sarah R -- I was the bachelorette the dinner was organized for. It was the perfect setting for a group of girls get together - being lively, loud, and happy. We had an excellent waiter -- he was such a sport in making our event fun -- he even contributed with the cheesy stuff I had to do.
I'd definitely recommend this place if you want to organize an event for a big group, reasonable prices, and good portions.
WHY!?!?! WHY DID I spend 80 of my hard earned dollars here!?!?!?
The food was horrible and I am a very easy to please eater. I NEVER complain to service even if something is really wrong. I just feel I'd be happier without the hassle. This time I had to say something. The food was crappy, but that's fine. If a place wants to serve really bad food at an expensive price, hey, this is America, do what'cha like Ike. But the service here was just unacceptable. The host and server both acted like I walked in the front door and issued a 50 second fart. They acted like it was benieth them to get me a drink or look at me when they spoke. Sure, I wasn't in a tie and I got the shaggy hair and a beard thing going on but I like good food, good drinks and I love tipping for good service.
If you are not some yuppie douchebag I recommend safety pinning a couple hundreds to your shirt if you want any of the over purfumed wait staff to even look at you.
I came here with Donna P and it was pretty nice.
I totally agree that the crab cakes and bruschetta were suuuuper tasty. Highly recommended. My entree was the steak and fries which was ok, I've definitely had better.
Personally I thought that the desserts were waaaaayy too sweet. I could barely even taste the sample platter... too sugary. Some people really enjoyed it though and ate everything (chocolate mousse, cheesecake, and something else super sugary... don't remember because I was too disgusted.)
Maybe I'm just not used to super sickening sweetness, but I know I wasn't the only one in our party that didn't enjoy anything in the dessert medley.
Also, drinks here were pretty good. Wine selection wasn't bad... but pretty damn pricey. $13 for a small glass of wine to go with my steak? $11 for a single cocktail? No thank you. Maybe they added wrong?
Anyway, it seems most yelpers come here for drinks and appetizers, and I think that's a wise choice. The entrees aren't anything special and are honestly a little overpriced for what they are.
Service also could have been better, but it was crowded and a Saturday night so I can let that go.
I have only ever been here for drinks, so that is what I will review.
First off, the paintings by Linde Martin on the walls are amazing. I just want to point that out. They stand out in a big way because of their vibrant colors and movement. Take a look at them. Your eyes will be glad. :-)
Okay, onto the libations....their Lemon Drops were always the best I've had. They make them just right, and with Meyer Lemons, which is the only way. Recently, I had their Bloody Mary's with K.O. vodka. They are yummy! Just the right amount of spice, and not too much pepper. I hate chunks of pepper in my drinks. My sister, hubby and best friend came in here before our dinner reservations for my birthday, just so we could have a Bloody Mary (almost said "B.M." but that's just not right....) before going to Ristorante Avanti, and my sister asks the bartender, "Do you guys make good Bloody Marys?" so he was under a little pressure, since he said, "Yes!" He was right though. I was very happy with mine. My sister and my best friend apparently were happy with theirs, too, since they drank them in 0.5 seconds! And remember that these are served in PINT glasses.
Anyhoo... I've never had a meal here, but for drinks, they are A-OK! I think that the only reason that I didn't give them 5 stars is just because there wasn't enough flirtation from the bartender. I like a bartender that is a flirt. My sister is single and cute, and she didn't get any play from our bartender. But he was nice and poured a delicious drink, so really, what can I say? I'm just a little picky about those things.
If you're ever in the neighborhood and want a good B.M. (hee hee!) go to Clouds. They have a nice bar, pretty paintings, and good service.
Our dear waiter was a perfect for our party of 11 girls at a bachelorette party. He was good-natured, attentive, and accommodating. If it weren't for the good time we had here- partially because of the service- I would have rated this 2 stars.
As for the food.
Well. It was nothing to write home about.
Calamari was eh.
Clam chowder was decent.
Steak was good but the meat wasn't exceptional.
Caesar salad was decent.
Artichoke and Tomato Bruschetta tasted like something you'd get at a banquet in a hotel. It's not outstanding but you'd eat it.
Really, this is the kind of place to come have drinks and some light food and maybe meet some new people. Don't come here for the culinary experience.
I hear they turn the back dining room into a dance floor later at night. This might be a good reason to come here too.
A very up-scale type of place that has an interesting (albeit expensive) menu and tasty alcoholic beverages. I've eaten here a few times already, once with my girlfriend for a nice evening dinner and the second with a larger group of people celebrating a few special occasions.
The atmosphere is pretty nice, with dim lighting, fancy furniture and interesting art all over the place. It does get a little loud though when it's crowded; I could barely hold a conversation with anyone my second time around because I couldn't hear what people across the table were saying.
While the drinks and the Asian-fusion food are good, they're expensive. Seriously, you'll wind up spending at least $15-$20 a person, even if you order conservatively. It's probably best suited to smaller groups unless you're splitting the check with someone.
Overall it's a decent place to go to, and it's one that you should check out at least once if you're into these types of restaurants. You won't find too many in Santa Cruz.
I went with a huge group here for dinner on a Saturday night. Our server was nice, he answered to our demands of lots of bread and butter and garlic besides the oil and vinegar very nicely. We made a huge mistake however, and ordered the sushi. In retrospect it was a bad idea, but seemed good at the time. The sushi was horrible!! The rice was mush, the fish was bad, the pieces were not mouth size. The waiter was very nice and took it off of our bill, although noting that we had eaten half of it. (Not really though, my sis spit her piece out into her napkin.) Overall, the food was fine, I don't think there was any complaints. However it is pricey.
I would recommend this place for martinis, because those are to die for! I got a lemon drop and it was great. The mint chip one is delish and their signature carmel apple is amazing. I would say go for appetizers and drinks and then get out of there before all the bros and hos come out. Yikes!
Usually it's just cocktails and appetizers here for me, but when I've had a full meal it's always been excellent. The food is better than most places in the area.
The "we're the upscale bar in downtown" vibe is ruined by showing sports on tv. The guys all gather round, gaping athe screen, punching each other in the arm occasionally and saying "Yeah!" and then at the commercial breaks they turn around and look for attractive women. It just gets a little overwhelming in the evening as people try to have a hip, urban night out in a town that is neither. The best times I've had here are right after work or during the day, before it gets crazy crowded.
I would award the Best Lemon Drop in Santa Cruz but what is the story with the sticky glasses? They need to hand out wet wipes with them. They do an apple martini that I've heard is great, but I don't do the apple martini so I can't vouch for it.
The last time I went there were three security guards. That pretty much tells you what you need to know about the crime wave downtown.
The people watching here is on par with a trip to the Grove in Los Angeles. It's like watching the cast of Desperate Housewives, The OC, and a host of other shows that bask in the glow of tanning oil and superficiality coalesce at their "official" bar.
This bar being clouds.
I can't speak to the martinis -- I've never had a martini here, mainly because I'm so sickened by the crowd and the sheer volume of flesh that's exposed every time I've attempted to set foot within. Now, I'm no conservative, but when people are out at night in practically a bikini, and all of the men (read: jocks) in sight are decked out in the latest Abercrombie and Hollister outfits, and overheard conversations are reminiscent of my days of Jr. High in the San Fernando Valley, you'll have to forgive me if I'm not excited.
I think the 4 stars is for the ambiance, if nothing else! Clouds is really a beautiful bar - it's spacious, classy, but not stuffy or pretentious, and the service was good, despite being more than a little slammed. I would want to come back to try their restaurant! Good prices on premium tequila...salud!
===BAR REVIEW ONLY====
Have to say I am impressed with the service and friendliness of the staff! My GF and I were Happy Hour Hopping (going from bar to bar) on Friday. Clouds was our last stop on the train. We had both tried Clouds for lunch and dinner before and didn't have HORRIBLE experiences (but they were not FABULOUS either). We had walked by the door around 6 and it was CROWDED, so we opted for another dive bar instead. However, after not feeling fully satisfied, we wondered into Clouds (about an hour later). The Bar was full, but upon inquiring from the ready-to-serve-us Bartender where else we could sit, we chose a little two-seater booth just passed the bar. Within minutes of sitting down we were greeted by a nice waitress. Within minutes of her leaving, we were served. Our drinks were STRONG (I had the Lemon Drop Martini & my GF went for a Traditional Martini).
So, all in all I have to say YES to CLOUDS for a good strong (reasonably priced) drink or two.
CHEERS!
I like this place for a cocktail or for a bite to eat at the bar (JoJo's Clams--YUM!).
I agree with the assessments here that this place can be random, but isn't that usually something good? Here, it is for sure.
Great people watching-- you never know if you are going to see a full wedding party, a high school reunion, or a man at the bar in a wig and a cowboy hat......part of the excitement.
My kind of place......
I find myself in Santa Cruz a few times a year and this happens to be one of my new favorite places here.
It is an "upscale" bar in down town Santa Cruz, which is hard to find here in this town. But the cool thing is the dress code is still pretty laid back, guys can wear flip flops and I even saw some guys wearing hats. But for the most part I would say people do get dressed up to come here. I Was wearing a dress coming from dinner and I didn't feel out of place at all.
The bar scene on the weekend I would say is pretty good. I love the laid back, chill attitude here of the people. The staff is pretty friendly and good about getting your drinks to you quick, plus there is no cover here.
This place was recommended to my buddy and I as a good place with a slightly more urban professional crowd. I suppose that might be an oxymoron in Santa Cruz, but it was a fun time. The women seemed to be dressed up like they were out on the town, but the guys were either in skull caps or Lands' End vests. Strange but telling.
Our waitress was pretty cool, always up for suggesting drinks to get us going on our Friday night. Not a bad place to begin your evening, or to meet for happy hour.
My review is based on the Maritnis and the DJs.
I've only been here a couple of times, but I LOVE the ambiance, nice bartenders, great music, mellow but fun vibe... but the best part is the owner's fantastic martini glass collection lining the top shelf of the bar.
MUST HAVE: I recommend the caramel apple martini, which absolutely melts your lips away.
I agree with Nish's assessment. The girls and the guys seemed like they were dressed to go to different places.....oooooookkkkkkaaayyyy. Why was the smell of peroxide and viva glam heavy in the air, mixed with North Face fleece and 3 days of beard growth?????
Whatever you wear, you will fit in here - which is one of the joys of Santa Cruz. The lemon drops were good, but it was the stickiest glass I've ever had at a bar. I felt like half the sugar had run down the side of the glass. Siobhan K had a similar sticky experience with her drink. We tried the dessert sampler......mmmmmmmmmmm. It was AMAZING. Just enough of several of the most interesting items on the menu, so we didn't really feel overwhelmed by anything.
The reason I can't rate it higher is the service. When we first got there our waitress was appropriately attentive. But after she brought the drinks and we declined a second round, she kinda forgot about us.....
If you're in the area, it's worth coming in to give it a try, hopefully you will have a better waitress.
This is a upscale kind of place, the decor is simple but chic, the menu and drinks are kind of pricey, and it's not really great to show up in sweat pants or something.
I've had nothing but great lunches great. I one had the most amazing bisque tomato soup here, also the club sandwich is just perfect, burgers are good, salads are tasty but the casear lacks dressing and the asian salad looks a little too crazy. For the most part the food is fantastic with but a few flops. Everything is well presented and has a lot of flavor.
The drinks are a bit pricey, but usually worth the quality and amount of liqour, though I will say a few of the drinks I've tried were icky but that's just my taste.
It gets crowded for dinner, a wait is neccessary, I forget if they do reservations. The the crowd for that goes for drinks on the weekends can get pretty big, but it's nice and you'll have a nice time.
Looks like it should be good but it's pretty unimpressive. I've been there several times, mostly at the suggestion of others and mostly for cocktails. Sadly they're always overpriced, small and usually just not that great. It's one of the few more upscale cocktail places in town tho and they're conveniently located so I can only guess that's why they keep getting the Best Of votes...
The food is okay but very pedestrian. Ahi (if I never see ahi on the menu anywhere again it'll be too soon), crab cakes, spinach salad, mahi mahi, pork loin. For the money there are better, more interesting meals in town. Lastly, the slick 30-something pick up joint vibe leaves me cold. Sorry Clouds...
If you want a decent "gourmet meal" and a good drink to go with it, I highly recommend coming here. I recommend their clam appetizer (YUM). The times I have gone the place was packed and we still received excellent service. My friend and I dropped a bill on our check, but the price was well worth the meal (appetizer, main entree, dessert and espresso). Their food quantities are not skimpy and the presentation of the food shows gets some brownie points for effort. HOWEVER-- clouds is still not as good as some of the other places around Santa Cruz (in my opinion) hence three stars not four. Sometimes they have live music or a DJ.
I don't go for drinks or bar hopping, only the food since I can't stand greasy and gross folks (or pathetic attempts to "get your mack on") -- so I avoid the bar area at all costs.
Ate here for the very first time last night and I loved it. I wish I ate here sooner! Their bread is delicious and they serve it with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. For our dinner, a friend and I who are college students, shared an entree along with an appetizer. For the appetizer, we ordered the crab cakes with jalapeno sauce. This was so good, if you can't take spicy, do not fret. It was not spicy at all. For the entree, we had jumbo prawns stuffed with dungeness crab and melted cheese on top. Both these dishes were so delicious.
This place is a bit pricy. With those two dishes, tax and tip our total came out to be $40. So be ready to spend money if you each order your own entree. However, they do serve burgers as well. So if you're on a budget and do not feel the need to eat the finer things, then by all means try out their burgers.
I went Sat. night for some wine and dessert so I can't really speak to their dinner, except to say that when I passed by a few tables, I almost picked up a fork and tasted what the people were having because it looked that good.
We had the chocolate mousse and a couple of glasses of wine and a cocktail. I did enjoy the chocolate mousse, and it was ginormous if you like that sort of thing. After a while, I kind of felt like I was eating a glass of frosting. They made decent martinis. Maybe the best part was the group of drunk chicks at the bar who looked really out of place for Santa Cruz, but entertaining nonetheless.
ah yes the last spot my friends and I got to visit on our weekend trip to Santa Cruz. We hadn't heard much about this place, it was recommended to us by the staff at Seascape. Apparently they thought that we would fit in just right here....they were right.
I have to say Clouds was a lot of fun. I actually didn't know it was a restaurant til we got there but we were there for the bar anyway. I remember the drinks being pretty strong and the crowd pretty chill. We met a fun group of guys here and stayed there all night, til it closed. We loved it that much.
Would def go there again and order a long island to get the night started off right!!!
Beware there are a lot of guys here who either A) are "pro" surfers or B)are an aspiring "pro" surfer, but then again they are everywhere in SC it seems.
We went here for a bachelorette last night and had a great time. Good drinks, affordable food, and really great server. Our server put up with all our nonsense and was a great sport. I liked my entree, the stir fry with udon noodles and tofu, and at about $15 it was very reasonably priced. Not the most amazing meal but a good option for the area. One issue though is that they sat a family with children near our wild bachelorette crowd and the family had to move, which we felt badly about. I don't think the restaurant should have put them next to us when there were tons of available tables in the main room. C'est la vie though, what can you do. :-)
Had lunch here once, but primarily go for the bar at night. Great atmosphere, gets crowded like all other downtown bars but there's a nifty seating area away from the bar that is usually easy to find seats in. The dance floor is tiny, but your feet don't stick to the floor (unlike Rosie's and Blue Lagoon). Drinks are a bit pricey, but overall it's worth it.
