In the past 6 months I have attended 2 swaps and will be grabbing a bunch of my girls to attend a 3rd in the coming weeks to celebrate Earth Day.
First let me say that this IS the event to go to if you want to meet new people, chat with masseurs, make-up artists and hair designers...end get a peak into the services they provide during their own business hours.
The events are usually held in locations where the bartenders are excellent, mixing up the drinks just right and added to the exciting and friendly atmosphere prevalent at the swaps I have attended.
The swap is always the best part, always it's so exciting to see what treasures you can walk away with.
Honestly, drinks, music, services, networking and clothes...what more can you really ask for from a $20 event. This company is probably my favorite event company in the entire city - you guys ROCK! -

Just an update....
The Clothing Swap was fun for the party-like ambience, drinks and food, but it was really MADNESS for the clothing swap part. No one could see anything because we were in a nightclub. Clothes were heaped on benches, not tables. Bottom line- it was a free for all... of women in a tight space grabbing whatever they could to stuff in their bag becuase it was impoassible to sort through things in a more oragnized manner.
......
There is a better was to do these swaps, for ex:
Just went to an amzing Swapaholics event where you could actually SEE the clothes being displayed as they were on tables, the space was very large (a loft).
SwapnotShop does 2 swaps per year in Oakland. Very laid back. Lots of yummy free food and drinks. Cost only 5 bucks to get in.1 Previous Review: Show all »

Attending one of Suzanne's Clothing Swaps is one of those unique experiences that you must try before you die, like skydiving, travelling to Europe, and seeing "The Dark Knight". Seriously.
Anyways, I have several memorable moments from Diva Eves that inspired me to volunteer for Suzanne, but these ones stand out:
- when I won a gift certificate for a massage in the raffle, WHILE I was receiving a massage at Diva Eve. I admitted to Suzanne, "This has been the best night of my life!"
- finding super cute Rock and Republic jeans (retail $200-300)
- experiencing the "Swap in the City" 150th milestone swap, especially the fashion show!! -

Suzanne Agasi is brilliant, charming, charismatic, & fun!!!
Wow! I was at the Sugar Cafe at my first-ever Clothing Swap in San Francisco.
I had never been there before, or to any swap, but so happy to find surprise after surprise!
The best Chutney I ever had, followed by cosmos, and treats, and make-up by BeneFit Cosmetics too!
And, met some really great people including Cara, of Your Truman Show.
I brought with me some really great clothes, because I am a fashion diva with no boundaries: Barneys New York, Cashmere, Faux Fur, Anthropologie skirts, silk blouses, Custo Barcelona, and Fornarina shoes too.
Prepared to bring these bits of luxury to another's life, in hopes of sharing sparkle and glam with those nearby.
Purging has never been so delicious!
Here's to you, Suzanne....
be good, be green, be glam....
swak!
AmyP, waiting with baited breath for the next Diva Eve! -

What a beautiful way to spend an evening. Suzanne invited the Zubio massage team to be a part of this wonderful event. The people are great. She puts on a fabulous party. Free clothes, supporting charities, and complimentary mini spa treatments.
Zubio massage is proud to be a part! -

Oh sooooo fun! I went to my first clothes swap this week and had a blast. I donated about 5 garments and left with 10! I found a Max Studio (silk & cashmere) sweater, a Guess frilly black top, a J Crew wool black turtle neck and 7 t-shirts (one with custom beer patch & embroidery). Of course, everything is used, but new to me!
Here's how it works:
You pay $20 for the ticket. For that price you get: appetizers, drinks, dessert, pampering (hair, nail, massage...) and a chance to pick up tons of new clothes (new to you). You show up, give them the clothes you no longer want/need (any amount of garments & accessories). While you're eating, drinking, enjoying, they're sorting the clothes in a back room. When they open the doors to the swap room, you simply walk in and take what you want. You've got to move quickly! You're in there with a ton of other women looking for great grabs! (But don't worry, people are totally polite and courteous!!) You check things out quickly. If you like it and think it fits, shove it in your bag. Once you've grabbed everything you think you might like, then try the stuff on. What you like, you keep! It's that simple! And what ever is left over, gets donated to a woman's shelter.
So, here it is in a nutshell:
**You de-clutter your closet and get rid of stuff you don't want anymore
**You have a great night enjoying food/drink (fun to do this with friends)
**You pick up new stuff and renew your wardrobe!
**Left overs get donated to a good cause
All around greatness! I loved it and will return! -

Clothing Swap, with Suzanne at the helm, will guide you, by way of trade, through the treachery of fashion to an enlightenment of sartorial splendor and raised self esteem.

I had the pleasure to photograph the Clothing Swap event at the Pear Street Bistro in Pinole two years in a row now. I couldn't believe it the bar had been raised even more this year. On top of the amazing specialty drinks, wonderful vendor displays was featured was a dazzling dance troupe. And I have the photos to prove it! Now I have to say, while I didn't participate in the clothing swap... (men's clothing swap is in the works) I enjoyed the DIVAtini's, appetizers, gracious staff, participants and "just wonderful" guests. One thing I do enjoy is capturing an event when everyone is smiling and having a great time. Pear Street Bistro in Pinole has been one of those magical evenings for the second year now. I'm looking forward to participating again next year!

I've been to several of Suzanne's swaps. She makes sure you get pampered (usually with make overs, massage, eye brow wax), well fed with delicious appetizers and she always gets some good vodka for cocktails and usually some cool vintage soda for the non-alcoholic drinkers. I always get rid of stuff in my closet only to come home with a bag full of KICK BUTT clothes that I find at her swaps. You really should experience one of these ladies' nights out, they're so much fun!

I attended a clothing swap last night and let me tell you ladies, DO NOT come to this event with high expectations. Many of the women were not fashionable, did not bring fashionable items to be swapped and some did not even bring clean items!!! The event did not live up to the hype, as there were no name brand items and no screening of items before hand to ensure quality. I brought some really good stuff and feel a bit cheated. Just don't come with high expectations and you may be okay with the results.
