I love Clever! Every time I stop in, Radka & her store are so welcoming. No sales pressure here at all. In a community that is small, but distant, Clever always feels like I'm visiting my friend who has the "goods" my other friends want.
This is my go to spot when I want to treat myself and give gifts people will remember. Before you go to any other store, go here...you'll find something really special.
Oh, and be sure to sign up on her email list. She's always sending out specials and inviting you to private events. -

Cute little shop that offers good quality clothing and other unique items. Their prices are fairly great compared to other shops on Main Street. The staff is friendly and helpful; not pushy. They offer many of the brands that other stores in the area carry, which can honestly be found in fashion district in DTLA but here you obviously pay more due to location.
Still cool shop. -

A visit through the maze of amazing racks, antique tables and drawers of girly- gewgaws you had no idea you lusted for. I bought a number of T-s printed with graphics geared for the California, Santa Monica- and Venice- centric.
CLEVER- clever buyers, adorable, no-pressure staff who seem to take great pride in the merch. I'll always buy my t-shirts there because one time I had a 'femme moment,' and they let me use their sparkle-y clean powder room! THEY HAVE PINK TOOL BELTS AND FLORAL HAMMERS! What a great spot! I loved their screen t's so much the Italian purchased the Bette Paige number, which said "Slave Wanted". Awesome! This was enough to make me a fan for life.
Not to mention their buying choices (whoever finds these items are AMAZING, and what great taste) are superb. Great clutches, slick and funny stationery, and many, many more.
Trust me gals, if you like purchasing things a bit out of the ordinary and extremely unique, well this is your place. The last thing you want is ten girls in one bar holding the same purse, wearing the same top and carrying your overall style in general.
PS - Their dressing rooms are amazing! Mine today had a desk, vintage typewriter, lamp and a crooked mirror enclosed in a purple clothed room. It is something to be seen! Love it! -

I love boutique shopping. This place is a prime example of a great boutique. First, when I went there, the owner was serving wine and tea to her customers. Secondly, when I went there, Mr. Big from Sex and the City was there chatting up the owner over wine. Note to self: if I see someone who looks like a scruffy version of a famous person, it's probably a famous person.
My girl friend bought a fantastic white coat there and for a completely fair price (boutique or not boutique). While I didn't find anything that I needed to buy there, I definitely felt a sudden desire to buy everything in the store. They have a great selection of very original and very beautiful jewelry at the back of the store. I love how all the items are presented; everything is framed by antiques.
In short, great store. Will come back when I have a wad of cash burning a hole in my pocket. -

Perfect shop to chill and pick out unique gifts. I have purchased books, gardening tools, t-shirts, necklaces for birthday gifts. Radka has really great dresses in the summer time. She is fun to shop with and has great music on. She has fun events like wine and cheese, jean exchange, and bead making. Love this place!

I love stopping by Clever from time to time to see what is new...I am always impressed by the unique selection that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. A perfect place for gifts or even a small something to add to a gift you already have. I love the tshirts, the dresses and most of all the odds and ins that make Clever the coolest shop on Main.

Great little gift shop with a fun mix of chic LA shirts and handbags and Czech and Hungarian antiques. The owner makes beautiful jewelry in addition to collecting antique china and furniture from the homeland. Everyone needs a set of gold demitasse right? She offers great deals on her jewelry, i.e. 2 for 1, so check the website. I picked up a set of antique silver champagne glasses and hand made necklaces for $60.

It is fabulous that this stylish shop is open on a Friday night. When my friend and I came in, we were offered wine off the bat. Got a fun t-shirt that said, "Women, get out of the kitchen before men burn the world." Head to the sale rack in the back, since their clothes are a bit pricey. There, I found an adorable, unique sundress with patchwork print on the skirt. Smarties will definitely come here. I will be returning to splurge on one of the fabulous $40.00 rings.

I love this store! I'm not your average shopper. I do most of it online. Clever is one of the acceptions. This store has such a vareity of items. Clothing and accessories mixed in with novalties, antiques and great gifts for everyone you know. The store front window says it all. When I first went in, shortly after it opened, I was looking for a gift. I wound up with many gifts and something for myself. I soon realized that this is how it would be. My fav part of this store is the owners tiny Yorkie. I wondered in on my way home from work, and this little precious came out from around the counter to give me one of thee most friendly, sweet hello's ever! My new little buddy : ) I love to buy small things all at once. I tend to keep a few to give as spur of the moment gifts and cards. So friendly and comfortable to shop there! I love it.
