It's cheap (produce is riper than their more expensive counterparts) and I can get Bonne Maman jam for $3.59 whereas I'll pay about $1 more at the grocery stores.
They only take cash so hit the ATM before stopping by. They even have crumpets! I love my neighborhood.
I'm so happy this is just two blocks from home. It doesn't kill my wallet and I can get the items my chiro insists I should eat.
Wowie wow wow wow. I was strongly "encouraged" by my doc to search out these things called...VEG-E-TA-BLES. Apparently, they come in different colors and everything.
So I went on my lunch break from work and searched out the produce market. With five dollars in my pocket, I bought a large bag full of fruits and vegetables...enough to choke a horse or two, and feed me a big healthy salad at the same time. "Cost effective" does not even begin to cover my description of this place!
And they have candy. Not that I bought a bag...or twelve.
And not that my doctor needs to know that....YOU DIG?!

This is where I buy all my produce. They always have the best tomatoes on Clement St. as well as the occassional great deal on avocados.
