Coffee for every taste... This is the place i have been missing since I moved to LI. Classy Coffee has a large selection of excellent coffee (the best I have found on the east coast) made for you in a small or large French press at the table. The coffee alone would be enough to convince me but on top of that they are also serving excellent crepes and sandwiches.  I am addicted... ;)

I wrote this a while ago, sadly classy coffee was forced to close due to a fire next door...  ;(.  Huntington needs a real cafe...  Please reopen this gem...

Yum. I love everything (mostly crepes) that I've ever had a Classy Coffee... which is now Classy Cafe. And, as the name indicates, the coffee is outstanding.

However, due to the tininess of the venue, I tend to feel awkward coming here. It always seems like everyone in there but me is a regular and I'm intruding on their secret club. Plus, it's kinda expensive.

Overall, it's a mixed bag, I guess. But the food is yummy!

Ugh.....I wanted to love it. I really wanted to. But it's just not happening. Somehow a tiny slice of cake (which was just ok), a terrible americano, and a hot cocoa that was 1/3 of the cup full which was also terrible came to $15.

The dessert selections were not fresh looking nor "pretty" to look at.

They have a large selection of drinks....maybe theyre good at some of them.

They also serve food but i'll never know if its good because theres no way im going back.

Excellent coffee however the desert is a must for whenever you come. Always beats Starbucks but can be a bit pricy but is well worth it.
On Friday and Saturday evenings reservations are helpful.

    Some Yelp Math:

10 stars: for the mid-90s version of this place, when they had board games, a dim cozy interior, and a clientele that actually appreciated the fabulous live acts they book.

-5 Stars: Fast forward ten years, and subtract 5 stars. Today's version of Classy Coffee still has excellent desserts and drinks. They still have the live music, but they've lost the ambiance. The interior is too cheerful for what this place should be - a cafe where intellectuals (underage and over) can stay for hours, enjoy live music, and lay low for a while. Be that as it may, this place fills at least a little bit of Long Island's creativity void. For that it deserves 5 stars.

-5 Stars: But then, there is the service. Subtract all of those stars. There is a serious lack of adult supervision when it comes to the waitstaff.  No one seemed at all interested in doing their job, and I don't think anyone working there was above high school age. Our waitress was whiny and unpleasant, and she actually argued with me and the guy at the next table on several occasions, including one very amusing discussion over whether his slice of pie was actually warm or not. She walked away from our table before we even finished placing our order. There was a mistake on the bill. We had to wait forever to get the bill. She gave us dirty looks (and we're nice people). The whole experience with her was just outrageous.

+ Two Stars: It's a shame to have to do this to a cafe that was my favorite place to hang out in high school, but this place only gets Two stars back. One for what it once was, and one for what it could be. I really hope the management will read this and try a little harder, because the poor service actually creates a very hostile environment and kills what would otherwise be the most fantastic cafe on Long Island.

Average coffee house with horrible service.

The place used to be great - before they jammed the big lighted display cases in there and they used to have all kinds of games around that you could play while sipping your coffee- this was the ultimate "get to know you place".

The coffee are still excellent and they have live music (which they beat you  up for on the cover charge) and the tables are way too close for comfort - you have to be a contortionist to get around in there.  How the wait staff manage it is beyond me- that is if you can find the wait staff.

The desserts are yummy but pricey - considering the poor service it is overpriced for what you ultimately get.

Try it - maybe it will be better when you go.

It's pretty difficult to find traditional coffee shops that I'm used to in downtown Manhattan on Long Island. The two most eastern counties of New York are littered with Dunkin Donuts and Starbucks, so finding a quiet, warm, and quality coffeehouse is something to take note of. Classy Cafe is one of those.

My party of two was seated promptly, although thirty minutes later - around 9:30pm on a Friday - the place was packed. There was a wide selection of coffees along with a large menu of tasty desserts. I got a cappuccino shake and my friend got a coconut sorbet that came in a coconut shell. We were very content with the taste of our items and enjoyed the pleasant atmosphere. It's a great place to have a chat with a friend over good food and drinks, and being a block off of Main Street means less foot traffic outside.

Only complaint was service got a little shaky later in the night, but I'd attribute that to the full house. Also, the $2 charge per person for the live entertainment was a bit annoying but you give a little to get a little.

Overall, it felt like a comforting piece of the Village transported to Huntington Village. Will be returning soon now that I'll be moving to the neighborhood in a couple of months!

Came in around closing time, just wanted a simple coffee. Though they make a wide array of french press coffee's (South American, Indian, Asian, European), they unfortunately weren't making any this time of night. The medium style Colombian I had was quite good, simple sugar and milk nothing else.

I will return to try the Eurasian style presses.

This place is a landmark. It has a great selection of coffee and even a spin wheel to win free beverages when you become a member. It's refreshing to see independent coffee shops survive in this age of Starbucks.

Why the low rating? The service sucks. Last time I was there, there were only 4 customers and 5 employees working there. It took us 30 minutes to get out of there after finishing our drinks. And the only reason we got the check when we did was because I flagged down the waiter, who gave me a nasty look in return.

I gave Classy Coffee several tries despite its poor service because it's been around forever. Unfortunately they've struck out every time. They also recently did away with the Connect Four games that used to be on every table. It pains me to write this review, because they come so close to being a much-needed cool indie coffee shop.

Classy Coffee is one of my favorite places on Long Island. Great coffee and food, a nice place to hang out, and live music on the weekends.

Kona or Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee made fresh at your table in a french press. Fresh crepes made while you wait.. Live music on weekends.. Great escape to relax and kick back.

Nice selection of tasty desserts and very wide selection of coffees. I  like the "french press" style. Plus they have a full bar and good variety of single malts. It gets busy on weekends when they have live music for only a $2 cover charge (compared to $10 in Greenwich Village). this is a local bargain as far as I'm concerned because the acts are usually quite good. All in all, a great place to have dessert or an after-dinner cocktail.
