Pasadena, CA
Classic Coffee has been my favorite coffee shop since it opened in 2004, and I've been coming here on a regular basis since then.
There are a few drinks here which stand out to me - in particular, the caramel latte and the frozen hot chocolate.
Another benefit is that Classic Coffee has lactose-free milk, so if you're lactose-intolerant you don't have to stick with soy milk. As someone who is lactose-intolerant, I really appreciate this! There is an extra cost for the lactose-free milk but it is worth it. -

I love coming here! The drinks are so yummy and Jonathan always has awesome suggestions for me. The coffee is really great and they have a wide selection of drinks, which I love. They also have wifi! I haven't snacked much but the breakfast bagel is very yummy.

I was visiting a friend in Glendora, and she had to run to class in the morning, leaving me up to my own devices for breakfast.
I was so glad I had Yelp to help me find this place- sort of a hidden gem in the tiny town of Glendora.
Beautiful interior, I'm obsessed with dark wood. I was so impressed with how many sugar-free flavors they have to offer! It's usually difficult for me to find a coffee shop with sugar-free flavors other than vanilla and hazelnut.
I got a plain coffee with sugar-free almond syrup; DELICIOUS.
Service was great, the barista helping me was very friendly.
I will definitely be back the next time I visit! -

The Baristas at Classic Coffee are always nice and willing to give suggestions. The pumpkin Spice Chai is very tasty, but only around for a short period of time in October and November.

Very nice coffee spot, they have wifi and lots of seating. Great coffee and set up and a nice selection.
The best part besides the coffee are the games they provide !
Can someone please teach me how to play Settler's of Catan. -

This place is way better than Starbucks. They use Ghirardelli chocolate, have friendly staff, free wifi and there is one guy who is always coming up with cool new flavor combinations.

Glendora, CA
Love this place. I am no longer a big coffee drinker but I have a serious obsession with their half and half chai (half spice/half vanilla). Definitely my favorite chai ever.
Classic Coffee has great service and really friendly employees. They never fail to ask me how my day is going or how my drink tastes. I also took my mom who has serious food allergies and the barista was very accommodating and willing to take the time to make sure my mom's drink was "allergy safe".
I am way too much of a people watcher to get anything done in such a crowded place, but I know a lot of people do homework here. Its one of my favorite places to meet up with a friend, and I always chose it over starbucks. -
Review from Kenny O.
Like most of Downtown Glendora, this place closes pretty early (especially considering it's a coffee shop).
The espresso is frothy, smooth, and lacks acidity meaning the baristas are doing a good job pulling shots.
Drink prices are nothing to write home about, but they're not as absurd as some other places in Glendora/San Dimas.
Wi-Fi is free with purchase; just get the password from any of the workers after ordering. The password is updated regularly, so you can't just steal broadband days later.
Good place to be with friends or to study as the atmosphere encourages it.
Parking can be atrocious at times. -

Classic Coffee makes some really high quality Lattes. The baristas know how to steam milk and pull an espresso shot.
plus, free wi-fi. the password to their network is listed on every receipt. -

What a cool little coffee shop! Normal decor but a great selection! I had an iced chai latte and it was delicious! I also had an apple bran muffin, so good as well! I look forward to trying more things here. Free internet is always a good thing!

Great space with plenty of seating and outlets and couches. A great place to relax, chat or read. They even have a great selection of magazines to peruse.
The frozen hot chocolate is delicious. Pastries and desserts aren't too good as they seem to be defrosted from frozen packages from Costco. Wi-Fi is unbearably slow, which is why we left...it was like 1990s slow.
Warning: Don't sit near the barrista (don't remember his name)...he is way too talkative. He was also forgetful and forgot to give us our pastries. -

Glendora, CA
Ok, this is my first time getting a coffee here... I have peaked in several weeks ago. Here is the quick and dirty:
The decor is very nice, its got that coffee house feel.
I ordered the double chocolate mocha frappe... made with Ghirardelli's chocolate. I might say this was one of the best mocha beverages I have ever had. The minus is the large was $4.75... it said 20 oz... but it seemed more like 12 or 16 oz... it was pretty small for the money.
I would have given this place 5 stars, but it took a long time, 10 minutes to get my drink, and I was the first person, in line... several people walked in after me...
I will be back here on occasion to grab another mocha. -

FROZEN HOT CHOCOLATE: Definitely a treat during the warm summer heat. Try it for yourself!
I simply love this place. :o) It's my go to spot after shopping at Painted Moon or if I'm just around the area. In addition to serving drinks they also serve gelato and pastries. The baristas are super friendly and there's free wi-fi.
Other drinks I enjoy:
-Blended Ghirardellis Double Chocolate Mocha Frappe: It's rich, smooth, and deliciously sweet. YUM!
-Iced Café Mocha: Refreshing bittersweet goodness. Mmm...
Check it out if you're around the area! -

Review from Shane B.
this place sorta has a starbucks, "chain" feel to it. the bathroom requires a key and they have an assortment of Classic Coffee mugs and accessories you can buy.
there was about5 people working when i strolled in friday about 2 pm and it took a while for anyone to notice me. i ordered a triple shot over ice. this is probably a better place to get espresso drinks than just coffee as it looked like there single vacuum pump was a bit tired of being alone with no other varieties.
the espresso was good though. its a little mroe difficult to tell when its over ice but thats the way i had to have it that day. i would imagine parking could be tough -

Another coffee shop that I frequent ever since Its A Grind in Glendora went down ages ago. It was kinda cool cause some of the kids that used to work there went over to Classic Coffee :)
I go to coffee shops to work on my laptop and sip a drink away from the office. Again I don't know good coffee because I've never had a bad cup so I can't comment on the taste of the food or coffee although they do have a huge selection and variety of foods and different drinks.
The prices are pretty much your average coffee shop prices. Its pluses are the ample amount of seating and plugs for your laptop. It is always clean in the shop and the staff is very friendly. Minuses are it can get crowded because people come in herds at a time. The atmosphere feels more like a shopping mall store. I don't know about now but there was a block on the wireless router that won't allow you to log into some popular social networking sites and other sites.
All in all Classic Coffee is a class act. -
Review from Kevin L.
I'll start my review by saying that I have never gone here on my own. I always have a friend who prefers this place over Starbucks (she, a Classic ex-employee; I prefer Starbucks, but this saves a fight). Their coffee is decent, but I like my coffee with a kick and full of flavor and most of their morning choice don't do it for me.
Their espresso drinks, namely their Americanos, are pretty good. They pack the same punch Starbucks does, but I have a plethora of sugar-free syrup choices to add to my concoction (a plus). Sadly, I think the syrup hurts the overall drink in the end, giving it an artificial twang that's something I couldn't do every day. Their espresso (with an s, not an x) is good though.
They win with their chai, as does anyone who uses powdered chai mix over the concentrate (sorry Starbucks). Not only is their chai high quality, but they have like six different chai mixes to choose from. Go daring and add a syrup to it and it's perfect.
Their pastry case treats are run-of-the-mill at best. Nothing exciting in this department, just a bunch of obviously store-bought coffeehouse staples.
I do like that they have a game board with games you can check out for free, but being that I rarely hang out in coffee houses and this wouldn't be my first choice, I couldn't see utilizing that privilege.
I think my negative feelings stem from the fact that this place is overrated.
I have nothing against this place, except for maybe the insane coffee snobs defending it. Classic Coffee is on par with Starbucks, definitely not better. Sure, the non-chain aspect may earn it kudos but the coffee and espresso drinks aren't top notch and aren't something I could see myself making a habit of. The people who rely on slander in order to review their favorite coffeehouse are a little pretentious. If this place was anything like Sweet Daddy's (which used to reside up the block) or Gypsy Den in Costa Mesa, I could see the valid points in your arguments. Here, sadly cannot. -
Review from Sarah C.
Azusa, CA
Classic Coffee has the best coffee in the area. The best. There is always a variety of House Brews from which to choose, and they are all good. They have a better than decent selection of tea to choose from (in both variety and quality). I have yet to be disappointed by anything I have ordered. However, the star of their menu is the Green Tea Matcha Frappe. This drink is what keeps me coming back again and again. It could be cold and wet outside, and I'll still order this drink.
The staff is both friendly and helpful. It's the perfect location to study, surf the web, catch up with a friend, or even watch the characters that seem to congregate in the area. My one complaint is their horrible hours. They close at 8pm most days, and at 3pm on Sundays. This is ridiculous. I can't even count the number of times that I drove out of my way to go there only to find that they were closed. They lose one star for this. -

Glendora, CA
Nice little coffee place.
I like that the baristas have a sense of humor and are always willing to spark a conversation. The coffee is tasty, the teas are very refreshing, and they have a better variety of pastries than you will ever find at a starbucks of equal size. There is seating but on a cold day the outdoor seating is not desirable. The indoor seating is ok but does not fit a crowd.
Overall I like the place and the atmosphere.
Defiantly recommend. -
Review from Tanya M.
Glendale, CA
Yelp advertizes this place as a bagelry but it's really just a mom and pop coffee (espresso) joint. It's located in the very quaint old town of Glendora about half a mile from Citrus JC/APU and worth the jaunt over if you have some spare time between classes or need a mid-morning pick me up. There is much more room to spread out than Starbucks (read: you can actually get a place to sit comfortably) and the coffee is much better. There is quite a bit of outdoor seating which is fantastic for the mountain view and tree lined street tranquility of the area. Another plus is they also have a lot of advertisements on their shelf for other local events and businesses which is a big plus in my book because I'm all about supporting the little guy.
They serve standard espresso drinks and I actually overheard the head honcho barista training a new guy and describing the drip times and what factors would cause the coffee to have different flavors such too course of a grind, etc. I thought it was really cool that the guy actually cared about his product and that he really understood coffee in all its nuanced forms. I don't see this happening too often at the big chains.
They also have a few pastries to accompany your caffeine fix but the bagel selection is a bit limited and the cream cheese toping is just a plastic to-go container of Philadelphia. I am almost positive the bagels are not freshed baked but they will toast upon request. I would give this place 5 stars if they had a bigger bagel selection and better cream cheese toppings such as fresh whipped but if you BYOB or decide on the bite size cheese cakes (literally about 2 bites and good enough to get the taste and won't kill your thighs) instead it's a winner. -
Review from Amy K.
A cozy and personable place, with lots of inside tables and a counter in front of a giant window facing the sidewalk, for spying upon passersby, as well as ample outdoor seating, and seating in this odd hallway area that's technically outside of the shop. The lighting is inviting, and the dark wood makes the shop someplace you might want to sit in and read.
The barista was super friendly and helpful. She strongly suggested the lemon bars, which I found mediocre: too much eggy taste. The other baked goods were tempting, and the gelato and sorbetto were beckoning (I told them to pipe down, it was raining out!). I liked my soy hot chocolate, which was a bit sludgy at the bottom, which is always a good sign: proof they'd really put in a lot of chocolate! My friend liked his coffee enough to get two cups.
We hung out for a while and used the free wifi - they give you a PW for their network with your receipt - and watched the local college kids wander in and out. Major bonus: I'm not sure I've ever been in a public restroom so clean, and not just clean, it smelled like cinnamon! I very rarely find myself in Glendora, but I'd stop in again. -

Nicest place to relax in downtown Glendora! I love it here! Their drinks are amazing and the atmosphere is super chill!

So I'm not really into super strong tasting coffee so, for me, Classic's latte's are one of the best around (no bitter aftertaste)! The baristas are always cheery and helpful. Lots of good sized tables for all that school paraphanelia if you are there to get some work done, but most of the tables are in a mall-like hallway that echos, so bring your ipod if outside conversation distracts you.
My only grip with this place is I wish they were open later - alot of us students dont get out of class until early evening and they shut down at 7-8pm M-Sat. And, they are closed at 2pm on Sundays - a day many of us studious ones like to catch up on the work we've been procrastinating on :). -

I' ve been to coffee shops all over the country and one of the best is LT 1 mile from where I live! I love this place. Glendora Village is beautiful. I love sitting outside the coffee shop, and looking at the mountains as I drink the coffee and surf the internet. Couldn't ask for a better coffee shop.

Review from Donna S.
Really quite nice. An add on to the Classic Car shop in Glendora Village. It's less crowded than Starbucks, so if you're into the social scene, no. But if you want a nice latte, frappe, chai latte and a quiet place to sit, then this is a nice environment to do so. They also have Italian cream sodas and horchata, which I thought was kinda cool. And they have all the pastries and sugary treats that always go well with your cuppa joe or tea. And you get to peruse the Classic Auto shop after...

Classy and cozy. Nice coffee shop to study, read, or just hang with friends. I come here often on my lunch break. Located in uptown Glendora. Friendly staff, the cleanest bathroom I have seen at any coffee shop, they also serve Gelato, and the music selection is always mellow and quiet.

Review from Kirk W.
Claremont, CA
I stop here most weekdays, since I work at a Health Insurance Agency just down the street. I always just get drip, but it's always good and they always have a good selection with six house coffees and one that changes frequently. The service for the most part is fast and the baristas are always friendly. When I'm here I'm rushing to get to work, but if you just want to chill they have a lot of seating inside, and outside so you can take in the G-Town Village Quaintness while you get your caffeine fix.

Glendora, CA
Only coffee bar I know that serves lactose free coffee drinks. Did you know that a lactose free latte is creamier than an original? Try it out, and you won't go back. The double chocolate cake is a must, since whatever bakery that they get it from, I can't find it. Good selection of Italian soda mixers. And you definitely paying an extra price for their amazingly well-stocked and fragrant bathroom, please go the extra mile down the hall and visit what a great public restroom ought to be. Definitely, a role model.

Having paid my time at the many coffeehouses in the area, I would have to say this is one of the favorites. Good music that isn't overly distracting, great selection of tea/coffee and employees that actually look like they enjoy their job- and have we mentioned the gelato? Yes, A+. It's in a cute downtown area and is a great place to go if you need to shut yourself away from the world for a while and finally get to that biology paper you've been putting off... yes that one. Bonus: they just opened up a family owned pizza place next door (one amazing slice for only 2 bucks) so get yourself an iced americano and a pepperoni slice and your ready to rock and roll.
