When I describe Clarian North Hospital to friends and family I usually begin by saying, "Think of a nice boutique style hotel that just happens to have great medical care." And, I mean it. This place is beautiful on the inside.
But, what is a posh hospital without excellent medical care and staff? I've been here several times now for a variety of reasons and I'm still impressed. One of the things I liked best was the on-site facility for women's breast diagnostics. If you must get a mammogram, Clarian North is the place to do it; the office felt very cozy and soothing. The staff was super professional and friendly and on my visit, the waiting area even had a selection of gourmet coffees and teas to be enjoyed. Testing is quick, everything is explained to the patient very thoroughly and a doc even scans the images before you leave.
Two of my family members also had emergency treatment here and on all occasions, we were very pleased with the quality of care received. One instance turned into a middle-of-the-night surgery, throughout which ordeal the nursing staff in particular was extremely helpful and compassionate.
We consider ourselves very lucky to have this hospital a stone's throw from our home :-)
When I had my third son, I gave birth to him via c-section at Clarian North Medical Center only a short time after they had opened this new hospital. I was nothing but amazed--truly blown away, actually--at the building itself, its staff, and the entire experience. I don't know if it was hormones or what, but I was really, really in love with this place--so much so that I tried to find a job there so I would never leave.
Yeah. I'm not kidding. Can you say H O R M O N E S ?
From the amazing lobby that looks like a five-star hotel, to the incredible nurses and doctors, to the spacious and comfy rooms (complete with Internet, flat-screen wall-mounted TV, great food, and an awesome decor--complete with a light that looks like the sun or moon behind the bed), this place can NOT be beat.
I sometimes find myself wanting to fake illness so I can visit again.
Hubby and I had a great steak dinner together before I was discharged, and we also received a "most sweetest" gift of sparkling grape juice with a custom label that included our names and our new baby's name. SO SWEET.
MY TIP: Order the chicken salad on croissant and the angel food cake. Sometimes I go to the hospital restaurant when visiting my doctor's office (located within the hospital) just to get that lunch--as a reminder to a sweet time and a wonderful experience.
