Reliably good food and service and great views are the big draws here.  The menu is also large enough that chances are good you'll find something you want, so you can get more than the typical Cape Cod stuff.

Nothing too exciting though.  Definitely not worth a long wait..

As a wee lassie I had been coming to Clancy's for years with mom, dad and the grandparents, now all grown up and going with my boyfriend, going to Clancy's is one more thing I can add to the list of, "What the Hell Were My Parents Thinking?"

(1) The menu: boring and uninventive
(2) The service: unprofessional
(3) The food: everything is either fried or loaded with butter and nothing is made with passion and love. Not to sound like a snot...but..... can we say seasonal line cook???

Okay, I do have to say, they have some of the best buffalo wings around, you can't beat the outdoor seating and the chocolate mint hard candies on the exit, but why can't these things be accompanied by the necessities :  GOOD FOOD & GOOD SERVICE????

I rest my case, not worth the money unless you're like my grandmother and want a "Good glass of wine".

I can't beieve I'm writing this about one of my favorite restaurants on the Cape. I've always enjoyed this great place with the killer view.
I went there yesterday with my brother from North Carolina. I've heard there was a change at Clancy's. We noticed it right away, we didn't recognize one employee, all the friendly faces were gone. We had our standard tavern wings which had been always outstanding. These were not the same, they seemed watery and not as tasty.
We both walked out bummed out. Who knows if we will return.
We did find out that Clancy's was sold, that explains the difference. He still owns Chapin's in Dennis and that's excellent.

We went here three times in one week... as a result of staying with a former employee.  My review may be skewed, because the staff and management went out of their way to welcome us.  But, the food speaks for itself.  It was a smörgsbord of fried deliciousness: the boneless wings, both regular and teriyaki, the onion rings (oh my God I'm still craving them), the enormous fried shrimp.  Fries were mediocre.  The lobster roll was delicious, but it lacked the larger chunks of lobster I've seen in other versions.  I'm told the hot lobster rolls is just chunks of lobster meat and butter... mmmm.  The beers are cheap, the big screens plentiful, and they were even friendly to me while I was wearing my Yankee cap during the 20-11 rout of the Sox.  Would definitely return.

Poor service, nice view, mediocre food is what characterizes Clancy's.  I can only think that the crowds that this place draws is due to its location, smack in the middle of Cape Cod.  All those vacationers need a place to eat, and it looks like they all come to Clancy's.

We arrived around 1:30PM on a Sunday, and were greeted and shown to our table right away by the beaming hostess.  Our server was less genial, and we waited and waited for our beverages.  After we ordered our food, we waited and waited again, and were rewarded with a Caesar salad (served warm), corned beef hash with absolutely no seasonings and a Cobb salad that looked like none other I've ever seen before.  It had a chicken breast placed on top, along with five slices (!) of bacon, a wedge of blue cheese, and one whole hard boiled egg.  Ummmm - it's too difficult to compose a freaking salad?  This looked like amateur hour - and cost $18!

Do yourself a favor and go to the Kream n' Kone instead for some fried seafood.  Or Subways.

I've been to Clancy's so many times that I've lost count.  It seemed to be the only restaurant on the Cape for a while.  This seems especially true when you see the line to get in.  Be prepared to wait 1-2 hrs unless you come during the off season.

The menu is very diverse which is good if you have people that don't eat seafood.  Most restaurants on the Cape specialize in seafood so those poor people are forgotten about.  They have sandwiches - Reuben, Chicken Parm, bugers, etc, they have steak tips, salads, and of course, seafood.  I like their baked suffed sole, seafood alfredo, and the clam chowder.

Thank God we didnt have to wait on a Monday evening after a long day of golf. The Spinach salad was huge, and my boyfriend's burger was top notch. Very reasonable and our waitress was a doll!

Clancy's was great. Maureen who took my too go order was helpful and even brought my food out to me all bagged up while I waited out on the deck!  There are two bar areas and the bar is typically hopping! The deck is nice...tho can be a bit buggy in the summer evenings (use bug spray). The views are great from the restaurant windows or deck... - out at the marshy area. .Great Sunsets from the deck. I had the Fisherman's platter! Well worth it. Huge Shrimp! Scollaps, Haddock (Fried) and came with french fries. - also clam strips. Was vvery good and even tasted good and fresh when I reached Boston 3 hours later and ate them at the Dock on New England Aquarium by the Chart house/Boston Harbor Cruises, after sitting in traffic on route 3 for 2 hours. and getting lost in Quincy...after diverting up 53 north - 228 north to 3A....(thanks stupid 3A Detour.)( I swear Boston's the only place where you can get in a 2 hour traffic jam on Sunday evening at 9pm) .
