I am really happy to have found City Savvy Salon.
Thank you Yelper's for your review's.
The previous Salon experience was really bad and i was a little skeptical about getting my hair cut for any reason.
After doing a little research for over two weeks, i decide to try City Savvy.
I am happy i made the right choice, my hair was cut by Lisa.
She is was very nice person and good listener.
I was all smiles when I came out of the salon. -

I'm so happy to have found kellee. she is a really awesome person and she makes me really comfortable every time I come in for a haircut. I usually get pretty short cuts and she always does a great job and I leave happy. I recommend kellee to any gal who wants to get a cute trendy cut. kellee really understands me when I describe the type of haircut I want, but I usually bring a picture along with me too and she always gets it right.
also, her prices are really reasonable too. i pay about $45 each visit. -

Lisa is great, I rarely cut my hair, and have super long hair and recently I cut off my hair myself someone special at home, as result, I have one side short to my ear, other side to my shoulder and all jagged. Called in the morning, told them I need to be somewhere within 2 hour, and need my hair look not been butchered and specifically mentioned I need someone with good cutting skill. They are busy, but they called me back within 10 min arranged my appointment. And lisa did very good job, consider I never had short hair all my life, it looks really cute.
Lisa is easy going, good listener, and mostly she has solid skill. I definitely highly recommended her to my family and friends. -

I brought my two young children for haircuts here because my 7 year old wanted something more funky than what he gets at a child's salon. Chanell cut my daughter's hair and Leah cut my son's. Both were terrific, patient, friendly, and easy going. Both kids were very satisfied with their haircuts! I decided to go to City Savvy myself!

I was in town and needed a hair cut, and yelp led me to City Savvy. I was lucky enough to get a same day appointment with Chanel.
I can't recommend Chanel enough, she was fantastic. She was a lot of fun to talk to and for the first time that I can remember, I didn't walk out of a salon upset that too much length had been taken off. I'm SO happy I found Chanel and will definitely be returning. -

I was denied service at this salon today because I came in with my kids.
When I said that my kids are quiet and can entertain themselves, receptionist said no one can watch them at waiting area (sure, just two people at reception desk). And if I will be bringing them with me to the station that would slow down the process. So the receptionist said me to come back with a sitter.
I am pretty sure you are awesome, but really? Being that unflexible?
I had a haircut later today at another salon, my kids quietly sat behind my back and played for 30 min (thank you Apple for iPhone). I just don't get what was the problem. -

It's all about Kelle. Decided to make an appointment here for my daughter and I for haircut and feather extensions for my daughter, based on the rave reviews here on Yelp. If your looking for a new hair dresser your search stop here.
Kelle was amazing. First off she's fun, and makes you feel like you known her for ever. My daughter was instantly comfortable. She was laughing and chatting up a storm, and hardly looked at her phone at all. That's saying a lot for a 12 year old who can rack up 1200 texts a month in a blink of an eye. LOL
She cut my daughters hair first and then sifted through the feathers helping her pick out the feathers, where to place them and even reused the one she had in her hair already as an added bonus. My daughters hair looked beautiful, she has long thick fine hair. Kelle successfully cut my daughters bangs that works with her cowlick, something that we have always had a problem with.
Then it was my turn. Unlike my daughter I have short hair and have terrible wave in it. Kelle listened to what I wanted and made suggestions, and worked her magic. Typically I hate my haircuts until I get home and do it my way, I don't like puffy hair. She listened she actually listened and she did it so I liked it right away. Then she suggested I go just a bit daring and put feathers in. I'm almost 47 and wasn't so sure. But Kelle was, she said they are so fun, and I got the nod to do it from my daughter. So I did, I have a little think pink and purple feather in my hair, and I love it.
My daughter and I left there laughing and having had a great time. I even booked my next appointment, which I never do. And my daughter said to me, I like her mom she felt more like a friend than someone who cuts my hair. She was right. And to top it off she has the same birthday as me, all be it at least 20 to 23 years later than mine.
Next I think I'll try the facial. -

After seeing what great reviews City Savvy has received on Yelp! I decided to try it out as I needed a new salon in my neighborhood.
Lisa Medeiros is my stylist. She is sweet and does great highlights. She works very well with making the most of my long fine blonde hair. I always walk out feeling prettier. The prices here are less than a lot of salons, and the results are better. -

I have been going to Lisa Medeiros for almost 2 years now. She does an amazing job. She always listens to you, but will give you advice if it is what you want. Another highlight, she is ALWAYS on time!!
In addition to fantastic styling skills, Lisa cares about her people. This is something you don't get a lot of other salons where you are treated like you should be grateful for their time.

Emily is the best! She's done my hair for almost 10 years and I've always left happy. She is a wonderful stylist. In the time I've been going to her I've had really long hair, super short hair, and everything in between and I've NEVER had a bad cut from her. She also does awesome color. Dark hair, blonde, highlights...she does a great job at it all. Every friend that I have referred to her always goes back. :) She's educated on the latest styles, trends, and techniques but can do great classic cuts too. This is my favorite salon thanks to my hairstylist, Lisa Medeiros! If you're looking for a totally sexy, chic haircut and style she's definitely your gal!
It's challenging for me to find a new hairstyle without cutting my long, straight hair. I'm always looking for ways to add more volume to create a "big and sexy" look. Decided I wanted Kim Kardashian's hairstyle so Lisa worked her magic and gave me just that! Didn't have to make a drastic hair change or cut but definitely see the results.
She's also my gal for hairstyling when I have a modeling shoot or just want to look stunning for a night out.
Not only do you walk out of this salon with gorgeous locks but you also feel confident and happy. The staff is friendly and attentive. Lisa is punctual, patient when listening to your hair desires and really spends quality time and energy on your hair.

Had my first appointment today here based on Yelp reviews. I ended up with Kayla and she was awesome!! I've had the same sort of short cut for years, (I'm in my early 50s), so I didn't have a lot to work with.
But, Kayla really listened to me when I said I wanted to update my look a little bit, but not make drastic changes. Anyway, this is the best haircut I have had for years!!! I will be back and bringing my family in here also.

Thank you fellow Yelpers for helping me find this absolutely wonderful salon!
Upon entry, the lady behind the counter immediately greeted me with a smile and offered me something to drink. The stylist I booked, Kellee, came up to me with a glass of water, smiling from ear to ear. I was ten minutes early, and expected to wait a while for my turn but that wasn't the case! She sat me down at her station and asked me what would I like to do with my hair today, asking several questions and providing feedback. While gently washing my hair, she and I talked a lot about the school I go to, my major, where I'm from, etc.
At the beginning of my haircut, my hair was super wet. I was worried she was going to cut my hair the whole time while it's wet. But then she explained she's only doing the base first and then blow my hair to cut the rest. I asked for a lottttt of layers, and she did just that. She checked in with me a lot, which I appreciate very much. At first, the layers were longer than I wanted. I wanted very short layers, a lot of texture all over my hair. She listened really well, and gave me feedback on what would and wouldn't work too well. The outcome was super awesome. I absolutely love my hair. She truly listens and wants you to look and feel fabulous.
Throughout the whole haircut, which was only about 35-40 mins long (it flew by SO FAST), she really enjoyed talking to me as I did with her. It is very obvious that she is genuinely a super friendly person, and she loves her job and loves to gets to know her clients. I totally recommend her. Not only will you get a very affordable ($35!) haircut, but a great salon experience as well. As I left the salon I was smiling and felt super pretty. Thank you Kellee! See you next time :) -

Lovely ladies at City Savvy Salon! I initially made a reservation with Kellee, but had to reschedule twice because she was sick. However, the second time they called to reschedule, Kellee called me directly apologizing and rescheduling me with Lisa.
As I was waiting for Lisa to get my haircut, Rachelle and I started a conversation about her son enrolling in Taekwondo class next door, and she was super friendly.
After the nice conversation with Rachelle, Lisa took me to her station and asked what haircut I was looking for. Than we went to get my hair washed. By far, the BEST hair wash I've ever had. She has crazy scalp massaging techniques that makes you feel sooooo relaxed. I didn't want the wash to end.
Overall, Lisa did a great job on my Fohawk!
I promised Kellee that I'll make an appointment with her next time, but I'll definitely keep Lisa & Rachelle in mind for future haircuts as well!

I've seen Kellee for the past few years, ever since we moved into the neighborhood. Her rates ($35) are mind-boggling for her service and talent. In the past, I'd get nervous about haircuts, but with Kelley, I know I'm in amazing hands and she never disappoints. Half the time, I ask her what style she'd recommend and tell her to cut away!
Getting to see her every 6-8 weeks is the highlight of my day, like getting to hang out with a friend! -

I love Kellee!!!!! I was looking for a place to get my hair cut, and didnt want to spend an arm and a leg ( i need both of those for work!)... after days and days of searching, i found City Savvy Salon, and the amazing Kellee! I saw her portfolio, read a bit about the salon, and called them on monday (memorial day weekend)... No one was there to answer (obviously), so i left a message, and figured i would try calling again the next day (today)...
I recieved two voicemails the next morning. One from their front desk, reminding me to call and schedule an appt. and one from Kellee herself, also asking me to call and set up and appt. So i did :)
I called from work, and it turned out, Kellee could get me in same day!
set an appt. for 5pm, and arrived at 5:01... Kellee was ready to go and waiting for me! (that never happens!) she asked me what i was looking for... (low matienance, still have to be able to put it in a hair tie for work, and thats about it)... i left 35 min later with an amazing cut, short, but not too short (i know because my husband said he loved it :) )! ill be going back to Kellee again for sure!!! -

If you're like me and you love to wear dark red polish on your nails, then I've got the manicurist for you. CINDY GIEL has been doing my nails for almost 20 years, takes a lot of pride in what she does and is very good at it.
Her manicures are relaxing, thorough, and long-lasting. Cindy is the only person I've ever seen who properly paints the tips of my nails. If you wear dark colors you know it's important to have the base coat, color and top coat all properly painted over the tips of your nails. I think that's part of the secret to her long-lasting manicures.
I walk out of an appointment with Cindy and I get compliments about my nails from strangers every time. It never fails.

Having great hair is absolutely a must in my book! I've been having my hair highligthed and cut with Don for almost 8 years. I constantly get compliments from strangers on my hair color and cut. Don is fanstastic. I trust him with my hair 100%. He offers great recommendation but never pushy. I highly recommend Don!!

To start, I'm not the usual patron of a salon. I'm a guy that prefers to wear jeans and a T-shirt. I can curse like a sailor. I watch sports religiously. I'm quite the antithesis of any metrosexual male. And yet I've been going to City Savvy for 10 plus years to get my hair trimmed. Part of it is skilled styling of Rebecca, who has been cutting my hair before I was walking. When I've gone to other stylists or barbers I don't get the longeviity out of the haircut nor do I get the same results that I consistently get from Rebecca.
As for the salon itself, I've never felt uncomfortable as a guy surrounded by predominantly females. As far as I know they offer all the fixings at a salon: nails, spa treatment, hair colorings. -

I really like this Salon a lot! It is cute and cozy and the staff are very friendly. Every time I go there, I make sure I schedule with Lisa Medeiros because she is fabulous!!! She offers many services from cuts, color, deep conditioning services, hair extensions, special occasion hair styling, and more! I've scheduled with her for all of these services and have been happy every time. And, just the other day, I went in to get the hot, new feather hair extensions she offers just in time for Valentine's Day. Now, I have cute, colorful red and white feathers in my hair and my fiance absolutely loves them! Thanks Lisa!!!

I onlycome here for my lash and brow tinting from Rachelle. She is AMAZING and meticulous when it comes to my brow and lash tinting. She has a little room in the back that is comfortable and plays relaxing music while my fairly light lashes get an intense darkening. My lashes tend to fall out with mascara, so I just get them tinted once every 8 weeks. Trust me when I tell you: your lashes and brows make the shape of your face!!! I would definitely reccomend Rachelle and her services!!!

I had been referred to this place not once, but twice! I had asked where both friends had gotten their awesome haircuts done, and they both replied, "Kellee from City Savvy!" Well I had already been thinking about cutting my long hair & donating it, then getting a cute new style, so I figured I'd give this place a try!
I called early in the morning, to hear the hours of when they'd be open, so I can properly schedule. Tues-Fri 9am-8pm and Saturday 9am-5pm, they're closed Sunday and Monday.
I love immediately how upon entry, I have smiling faces greeting me, and a view of a really charming salon atmosphere with cool, funky art on the walls. It's not a huge place, but it's definitely classy, trendy, and welcoming, instead some other places with scary looking, scowling staff and a pretentious vibe. Kellee walks up greets me with a warm smile and brings me back to the chair where I discuss my 2 big goals for the day: chop off a ponytail to donate, and hook it up with a classy, funky, versatile new 'do. She took time to talk there with me, with eye contact, in order to get a clear understanding of what I was looking for, especially as a first time guest at the salon. I totally appreciate that, because it kinda bugs me when they plop you down, throw the drape around you, are starting their blow dryers, digging for brushes, etc, and trying to ask you what you want at the same time!
I loved her bubbly personality and genuine, positive attitude throughout the whole thing; you can tell she REALLY loves what she does. You could tell she REALLY knew what she was doing, too! Plus she's a bit of a perfectionist on her cuts, so it WILL be just right! Kellee will check in on what you think so far, constantly communicating, making sure you're liking what she's doing. She makes social conversation, like everyone else, with a few thrown in, "Ooh I'm so excited, you're going to look awesome!", and similar positive remarks. I guess I'm trying to say, it wasn't weird or forced niceties, like it can be sitting in a chair with someone with scissors going at your head of hair. She made it very pleasant, low key, and fun. That was definitely the vibe of the place in general, everyone seemed friendly and kick back. I was also offered a drink, like water, lemonade, ice tea, coffee, while I was sitting there. REALLY?! How cool! I've never had that at a hair cutting place!
If you don't know the area well, it's right there on Bascom, across from the Pruneyard, and in the same little plaza as Thai Pepper, in the corner area. If you're not sure, I'd try to leave a little early so you can get there ok. :)
My cut looks AWESOME and I feel good about being able to donate my hair to someone who needs it more than I do. One of the highlights: THE PRICES!! For cutting off 13" of hair (yea, that's right!) and giving me a very precise cut , and a professional, fun salon experience, my bill was $25!! I was SOOOO excited, because I know some places, it depends on the length of hair, man or woman, what kind of cut, etc. No blow drying fee, she even threw some styling wax in my hair to give it some texture before I left! I LOVE THIS PLACE! Kellee is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED by me, and my two friends! This is the tip of the iceberg, City Savvy does nails and facials, skin treatments, makeup, coloring, and massage, too! This is like a perfect little secret that's not so much of a secret anymore! Check them out, you'll love it! -

I had the same stylist for almost 10 years, but she recently retired. I tried several different salons, but wasn't happy with the results (or the price!). It got so bad, and I was so frustrated, I started cutting my own hair!Seeing my desperation, a friend suggested City Savvy, and it just so happened I was scheduled with Kayla (boy, was that a lucky break!)
I'm no spring chicken (early 50's) and really don't need to recapture my youth with a trendy hairstyle. At the same time, I don't want to look like my mother, either (although we do have the same body shape - damn!).
Kayla listened to my concerns, was very encouraging, and gave me a haircut that I am thrilled with!
I've been back to her twice, and will continue to have her cut my hair.
Next on the agenda, color! I know she'll do a fabulous job and I can't wait!
If you are looking for a top-notch stylist, I highly HIGHLY recommend Kayla at City Savvy!

Lisa is a WONDERFUL!!
I've been going to Lisa for hair extensions for the last 2 years. I am pretty picky about the end results and am a bit "tender headed" and Lisa has been nothing but kind and patient with me with each visit. She listens to my concerns, answers all my questions and makes sure that I am happy.
There have been a few times when I've called back the same day asking if I can return to have her add/remove just a few more extensions or maybe for a few more snips and she has always said no problem!
I have curly brown hair and Lisa is able to get hair that exactly (and I mean exactly) match my natural hair. Lisa has a gift for placing each "hair loc" so that my hair is not only longer and fuller but also has the overall natural shape I didn't think was possible ---because she is gifted at hair cutting design - and specifically for me - she knows how to cut curly hair! I am so lucky to have "discovered" her = )
I also really appreciate the cheery welcome from Alice each visit, each phone call to book my appointment. I always leave City Savvy feeling Great! Thank you Lisa for giving me beautiful hair !!! -

City Savvy is a great salon because of the talented people who work there. The majority of it's staff is made up of hairdressers, estheticians and nail techs who have worked continuously in the business for about 20 years. They have a dedicated and loyal following of clientele. Patty (the owner) has a great eye for decor and keeps her salon fresh and well-appointed (and CLEAN!) It is the type of place you feel very comfortable coming back to again and again. Your biggest concern would be availability. Though I'm sure all staff welcome new clients, they are usually booked solid, so call way before you want to get in.

Definitely a five star salon. You can feel the good energy and based on my first experience, are welcomed the moment you walk in the door. Because my hair is unusually curly, it has been difficult to find someone I could trust, AND who understands the unique challenge of making it look good. Patti is a true artist, as are her designers on staff. The passion for what they do is evident in their outstanding service, their hospitality and the quality of their work. I will absolutely refer them to my friends without hesitation.

City Savvy is amazing. All of the stylist do incredible work and very open minded. I go to Patty, and i love her, she knows exactly what to do. Very creative and very realistic. Everyone is very nice and accommodating at this salon as well. Not only are they great stylist but also offer other services at this salon. Its a one stop shop and is also very affordable. I highly recommend t his salon. Patty is fantastic.

Patti Keating, the owner as well as the most excellent hair stylist, just did my color and cut as has been doing my hair for over 15 years. I get so many compliments on my hair that I hand out Patti's card at least twice a week. These are complete strangers that come up to me to ask so I have made some new friends too. Many of my friend go to Patti or to others in the salon for services. I always let her do what she wants because she has a great eye for what is in style and no one can be her cuts and color techniques. The salon is peaceful and the whole staff is very friendly. When it is time for your appointment they are ready for you. No waiting around. She keeps the latest products on the shelf and recommends them to allow you to look the way you did when you walked out of the salon. Jan Corrie

When I went for the first time I got a decent hair cut. But it was over so fast that i was not sure if i got " the cut" . But after a couple of weeksmy hair still looks good with minimal styling. Kellee is AMAZING!!!! I came to City Savvy off a recommendation from a friend about a year ago. I was and still am so impressed with her. She knows exactly what I want! Usually I just tell her, "do whatever you think would look good", and it comes out perfect everytime! She's absolutely adorable too. Just the sweetest, most cheery hair stylist I've ever seen! I've never tried another stylist at City Saav before, but they all seem very good at what they do. I recommend going there and seeing Kellee...she'll make you look fabulous =)

I have been a customer of Patti Keating's (the salon owner) for over 15 years. She is constantly educating herself in terms of techniques of color, cutting and all that is required to have a successful salon. As the years change my needs have changed. Patti has provided all the things that I have needed along the way; color, new hair style, suggestions when I don't know what I want! AND one thing that is really great, is her haircuts grow out beautifully. One other thing I have noticed over the years is that there is not a lot of turnover of hair stylists at the shop which indicates to me a good working environment and it is always a pleasant atmosphere to be in; professional and fun. Kellee is awesome! She's so upbeat and positive and she does a great job with hair. She is especially good with trendy haircuts, totally go see her, you won't be sorry. Best of all, a haircut is only $25, I totally expected to pay $50, I was pleasantly surprised.
