I couldn't be happier with my experience at City Motor Group (Boston Car Buyers). I was in the market to sell a car that we no longer needed and was looking for a quick and painless way to do it.
After doing some searching online and having some tough experiences with places such as http://www.webuyanycar..., I emailed Charlie at Boston Car Buyers and he got right back to me.
He made me a very fair offer for the vehicle and the transaction was completed in about 20 minutes. A great resource for anyone looking to free themselves of an unneeded or unwanted vehicle.

I sold my truck to Charlie-and I am going out on a limb to say this was the BEST customer service I've ever had in Boston!
He was professional, fair, gave me probably more than I expected (according to Kelley Blue Book cash value commiserate with the work needing to be done on it). When all was said and done, he honored his word; he had promised a ride back to my place but everyone was busy so he personally gave me money for a cab. I AM NOT MAKING THAT UP.
Who gives that kind of good old fashioned American customer service anymore?

If you have to sell your car, this is the place. And the whole process took 20 minutes. Painless. What a professional. -

My experience with Boston Car Buyers was quick, easy and satisfactory. Although the amount offered for my Honda Accord was less than I would have liked, the price was fair. The owner was very reasonable and genuine -- I did not get the whiff of a used car salesman trying to pay as little as possible for the car. His price was backed up by data, and I left convinced that it would have been difficult for me to get a better price without selling the car on my own.
I was in and out in half an hour. A check was cut right away. If you're looking to sell your car rather than trade it in, without the hassle of doing it yourself, you can't go wrong here. -

While considering a different vehicle for the family, I heard about PJ at City Motor Group through a friend. I called him up, discussed what we were looking for, and discussed several suggestions. While we went out and test drove some cars, he searched around and found some options which we discussed.
Within a week, we had settled on a 2010 Toyota Highlander Limited 4x4 with 11.5K miles on it which he found at an auction in PA and acquired for us (or someone else if we passed it up). The CarFax checked out on it, and the pictures were awesome, clearly showing that it is exactly what we were looking for - in fact, the car was WAY better than we expected!
Within a few days (given the long Thanksgiving holiday weekend), it was trucked up to MA from PA, given a thorough cleaning/detail to make it look like new, a few little dings which were evident in the pictures were fixed, and it was ready for us to look at it, which we did this afternoon (along with actually meeting PJ).
We went with really low expectations, and were very pleasantly surprised. I had heard that PJ was "the salt of the earth" and one of those "really honest nice guys", and we have to agree. Personally, I have always hated buying cars, but dealing with PJ convinced us that it doesn't have to be such an unpleasant experience! He presented himself as a laid back professional, who knows the auto industry very well, and really wants to get the best deal he can get for his customers. That is why he has been in the business for so many years, and with a significant % of his customers coming to him through referrals from prior customers. There was no pushiness, no sales tactics, no "let me speak with" this one or that one.
We took the Highlander out for a test drive, pulled over in a parking lot, and ran over it completely - geez, even the engine sparkled! It was basically a no brainer for us to buy it from him. He gave us a very fair price for the trade in of our 2003 Infinity G35, locked in a great low interest rate, and provided us with monthly payments that met our budget target.
We grabbed a stack of cards to share with friends and family for the next time they are looking for a car, and would highly recommend PJ (and City Motor Group) to anyone looking for a car. Bottom line is that PJ was honest, upfront, professional, and fair. What more can you ask for? -

Worked with Charlie and Pat both great guys sold my car site unseen and gave me the cash before we drove over to the lot I had my car stored. Absolutely great experience even picked me up and dropped me off. Wish everyone was as nice and good intentioned.

They are sooo helpful! I went through alot trying to get a car since my credit was not as good as i wanted it to be, but PJ from city motor group went above a beyond to make sure i got my car when other lots refused me. I speak highly of this place to everyone! you should check them out and PJ is great!!!!

Boston Car Buyers made it very easy to sell my car. Once I decided to sell my car it took about ten minutes for them to write a check and send it to my bank. They were very nice to me all the time, and I didn't feel they were trying to take advantage. When I was looking to sell my car, I went to many different places, different dealers, and it just felt they were trying to give me the least money possible for my car. At Boston Car Buyers, I felt they actually care and were trying to work out a deal that was beneficial for the both of us, not just them. I would highly recommend Boston Car Buyers if you need to sell your car, they make it very easy and fast, and I didn't feel they were trying to take advantage of me like to other places.

The other "Yelp" reviews directed me to this place with high hopes. These other reviewers must be related to the owners or paid off. From my call to them that I wanted to 'sell my car quickly', I waited two days! We discussed the condition of the car, and the blue book value in its present condition, and he offered me 1/3 of the blue book value over the telephone. I told him come on over because I was willing to take such a loss to get cash-in-hand. When he finally showed up, he circled the car once, repeated the condition issues I had alredy made him aware of, and stated bluntly: "I can't buy this car." No discussion, no lower offer, no explanation, and no apology for keeping me home all day waiting for him to show up at 5:00PM. These people do not make it easy and hassle free to sell your car quickly; quite the opposite. They are looking to buy cars at "car auction" prices (i.e. a small fraction of blue book value). They do not look at your car and give you an offer, as stated in the "process" on their web site; they look at your car and tell you they do not want it. Even as a last resort, in desperate times, don't waste your clearly precious time (or you definitely would not be going to a car broker) on this outfit.

This place is fantastic! We shopped our used car at a couple of dealers and they gave us a great price compared to the other places ($3k more than one place). They were easy to work with and wrote us a check on the spot. They also gave us a lift home, which was about 45 minutes away. I can't recommend them more!
