Cisco is an amazing professional, more than that, he is a bright person, very polite guy, he makes you feel welcome, he cares how is your day going, he likes to get to know more about his clients. He gives an individualized treatment, he is so calm, kind and know what he is doing. I had my eyebrows tweezed, waxed, threaded... Not only in the US, but in Spain, Brazil. It always looked too thin, shapeless... So now Im under Cisco's care and my eyebrows look so good... Eyebrows are essentials for the looks, You can't hide them... So I recommend Cisco!

"If I had a superpower, it would be to make a woman beautiful", Cisco mused, while I sat in his chair for my first brow shaping appointment with him. After he completed his work, I had to agree his intricate work had indeed improved my eyebrow shape and symmetry - they were beautiful. Cisco took his time to asses what my brows needed and we developed an overall plan for what my eyebrows would aspire to be. If you are searching for an eyebrow designer, look no further than Cisco!

Wowza, Cisco is a Master Eyebrow Extraordinaire, indeed!! I never in a million years thought that my out of control, shapeless eyebrows could look this clean!
It all started on a sunny Monday morning when I called to make an appointment; unfortunately, he was closed. I was bummed at first but decided to leave a message and hope for the best. He called me back at 8:30am the next day and I was able to get an appointment that same day! Woot, throw ya hands up, 'cuz my brows were all messed up!
His magical little eyebrow studio is nestled in Sola Salon, which seems to be a consortium of independent salons all mixed into one. The atmosphere is decorated in warm tones with TVs in the hallways that double as waiting areas for the individual salons. It's hard to describe but cool, nonetheless. His private studio is clean and bright and he had relaxing tones playing in the background.
The whole experience was truly comfortable and inviting. After he assessed the condition of my poor eyebrows he created a plan of action for our journey to fabulousness. Apparently, my brows have been over plucked through the years, so we're going to grow them back-in in some places and create a "classic arch" over time. How excited am I? Very excited!
He's so into the whole process. When designing one's brows he doesn't just take the shape of the face into consideration. Oh no, he does a full once over of your whole persona, natural brow capabilities, and lifestyle to create the perfect brow shape for you.
Long story short, I hope he doesn't try to pick up and leave Sacramento anytime soon, because I am hooked!Listed in: Pure Coolness

UMMM I pretty much love Cisco. The first time I visited Cisco was the day after a difficult break-up; I was hungover as shit. He listened to my sob story and did an amazing job waxing my eyebrows. As hungover as I was it somehow managed not to hurt.
My eyebrows were jacked up. I tweezed too much, too far in between and had a few bad waxes. I have gone to him twice so far and we are almost there! My eyebrows have improved in shape so much.
I totally recommend Cisco, he is DA BEST!! -
Review from Janina M.

Had my first appointment with Cisco today, and I'm a believer.
I have been having problems with my eyebrows since I moved back to Cali. One horrible wax job at the end of 07 (a lady waxed HALF of them off) has made it difficult to get them back to how they used to be. I never really thought about going to an eyebrow specialist to get them fixed until last year. I took to Yelp and found Cisco.
After the birth of my son, I started letting my eyebrows grow out so that Cisco had something to work with. I was nervous and excited about my appointment. I didn't know if he'd be able to fix what's been messed up for so long.
He sent me a reminder text yesterday and met him today for my very first appointment with the brow master. Cisco is friendly, professional, and has a contagious smile. He saw my 2.5 month old son and we hit it off talking about our kids.
I'm usually a bit quiet when I have a first appointment with a stylist being that we're just meeting each other, but once the ice was broken with Cisco, he was able to hold a good conversation while working his magic on my brows. He is a perfectionist (and a Virgo yay!)- a definite must for someone that is going to be in the beauty game, especially when it comes to a feature that completes your face.
Cisco worked quickly after evaluating the mess I had tried growing out. He amazed me with how quickly he came up with a guideline for my brows and started waxing and plucking away. My eyebrows were definitely improved 100% after my visit with him.
I will definitely only see him for my eyebrows!!

Cisco is very unprofessional. I had an appointment with him and called to tell him I was running 10 min late because I was stuck in horrible traffic on a Friday afternoon driving from Davis to Sacramento. He told me we should re-schedule the appointment after I had been sitting in traffic for over 30 min trying to make my appointment. I was completely shocked and horrified by his lack of customer service, especially since I've waited 10 or more minutes for him for some of my appointments. I will NEVER go back as I think he is completely rude and unprofessional.

Amazing. Not only is Cisco wonderful at what he does, he's calm, kind, and takes his work very seriously. (I'll just say this: his photo with the women in black all around him was pretty misleading personality-wise. He's very serious and professional, but not in an intimidating way.)
I've had brow envy for years because mine have always been thin and shapeless. I had a hair stylist once tell me, "You're paying me for what I leave on your head, not what I take away," and that's exactly right. For years I've been paying for eyebrow waxes to "take away" and keep my brows neat but they've been overwaxed, overtweezed, and have lost all shape completely. By some miracle, Cisco took away and gave me brows all at once. They're shaped perfectly, and as he said, "This is just the beginning." I may be moving at the end of the month and I have to say, I'm really bummed that I won't get to see him work more magic. He did a stunning job, and my jaw dropped when he handed me a mirror at the end. I had never thought I could have brows like this. I was prepared to pay a lot, but the price is about the same as I paid at a standard aesthetician. If you're going to pay for an eyebrow wax, you might as well have it done by a professional who knows what he's talking about. I sent mass texts to all of my friends afterward saying, "You have GOT to go see this guy."
Now that's saying something. -

So many people have waxed, tweezed, and threaded my brows in so many different cities -- it's a surprise that I finally found the best eyebrow designer here in Sacramento. Cisco has a quiet demeanor but he's also very friendly. I'm happy with my brows after every appointment. Plus I experience little or even no pain.
He also works in Beverly Hills so he sometimes unavailable a week or two every month. Besides waxing, he offers other skin care services (but I didn't realize it until I looked at his website because he never pushes me to schedule more services). Brow maintenance waxing costs $25.Listed in: Spa Day Sacramento

Well, it seems my long time eyebrow lady has gone and retired on me. And since I'm too A.D.D. and uncoordianted to do them myself, and I was beginning to look like a cross between Frau Unibrow and Sasquach, I decided to check this Mr. Cisco guy out and see if indeed he was as great as all have claimed.
I called yesterday and was able to get an appointment for this morning. Thanks God! I seriosuly didn't want to have to face the family and my boyfriend with this gnurled bramble of eyebrows taking over my face for Thanksgiving!
Not only was he on time, but he was very nice, fast and super professional. And the best part? My eyebrows look great! I've already booked for my December appointment, and though he's more expensive than the old eyebrow lady, it's well worth it. thanks Cisco! -

I went to Cisco today for the first time. And yes - he is an eyebrow DESIGNER. First off, when I called to make an appointment I left him a message and he called me back within minutes. I called on Sunday and got a Tuesday appointment.
The receptionist at the front desk was very nice and the AJF Salon is clean, inviting, and beautiful! Cisco came out right on time and took me to the back of the salon where he has everything set up. The room he takes you in is inviting, comfortable and very zen-like. He has great music going and it totally relaxes you.
I usually have really bad reactions to hot wax but the wax he used was great. The skin around my eyebrows was red for less then 15 minutes. He took his time and carried conversation with me the whole time. He did a mix of tweezing and waxing. When he finished I looked in the mirror and gasped. My eyebrows looked amazing! I have never been so happy with my eyebrows before. I have been told before that my brows are IMPOSSIBLE. Cisco is WONDERFUL and I hope you give him a chance to wow you! -

I absolutely LOVED Cisco and I highly recommend him to anyone who wants great eyebrows.
I went there for the first time and left really happy with the work he did. I have been on the search for someone who can do eyebrows correctly and have finally found the right fit. My eyebrows are definitely a work in progress and he did exactly what I was hoping for.
Cisco is such a great guy, sweet friendly and really takes pride in what he does. I am seriously going to be Ciscos biggest fan :) and recommend him to anyone who asks. I mean check out my eyebrows, they rock! -

I went to see Cisco today. I found him via Yelp and tried him out because of his awesome reviews.
He is everything that everyone says he is and more.
Very professional, soft-spoken, punctual, and my eyebrows look awesome......need I say more.
Well, I came to him because I think that it was time that I got my eyebrows done by a pro. I've tried to do them myself and I ended messing up.... making my eyebrows uneven. I've tried the Anastasia brand with the stencils and I look like a fake. So, we talked about growing my eyebrows so that he can work his magic.
Can't wait to see him again. He truly is the Master Eyebrow God!!!! -
Review from Nat V.
San Francisco, CA
This review is for Cisco, master eyebrow sculptor.
I'm 26 years old and I've been going to Cisco to get my eyebrows waxed for the last 9-10 years. I live in San Francisco, and have yet to find anyone who compares to Cisco's mastery and skill. In attempt to find someone in San Francisco with comparable skill, I've had several estheticians take a shot at my brows . . . and in comparing them to Cisco, my eyebrows have come out destroyed - over waxed, under or over trimmed, using poor quality products, I've had it all. I'm no Brook Shields, but people have told me that my eyebrows are my trademark feature and I know that I wouldn't get those kind of compliments if I went to someone else for my eyebrows.
A lot of estheticians can do a decent job of fixing your brows up, but Cisco has an extremely rare talent. He can take a quick glance at your eyebrows and know exactly what to do with them. I've gone to other places where they've had to wax SEVERAL small sections at a time because they didn't know how to wax them symmetrically or because they really don't know how to shape them according to my face frame. Not Cisco. Literally, he applies a section of wax above the bridge of your nose, underneath each brow, and above if necessary. He never has to take "second shots" and rewax... he just gets it right the first time, everytime.
For any of you who are into cosmetics, comparing Cisco to other Estheticians is like comparing Bobbi Brown Long Wearing Gel Eyeliner to wet and wild eyeliner... or a Shu Uemura Eyelash (or shiseido) curler to one of those eyelash curlers that you can just buy at the drugstore for really cheap. There really isn't much of a comparison once you see the results of the former.
If you've ever been skeptical of getting your eyebrows waxed or skeptical of switching persons if you already get them done by someone else, you've gotta give Cisco a shot. Once Cisco does your brows, you'll never go anywhere else.
Oh, and did I mention that he's done Arnold & Sylvester Stallone's brows, just to name a few? -
Review from Kai L.
Disclaimer: I did not have work done by Cisco. It's always a weird situation to be forced to give stars when I'm unable to give a full review so hopefully I'll be able to change my 3 stars in the future.
So I made an appointment with Cisco, totally jazzed to have something done for my eyebrows by someone who has so much positive buzz on yelp. I get a text message confirming the appointment the day before. I get off a 24 hour shift and with half an hour to spare, I start making my way in what should have been a 15 minute drive. It would be my luck that there was an accident and I showed up at his door 7 minutes late. I know that I was 7 minutes late because thats the first thing he said to me as I walked in. I was floored. I felt like I was late for class and teacher had caught me. I guess his appointments are only 15 minutes long so 7 minutes was just too much time wasted. He offered to schedule another appointment for me but I was too dazed to think that far ahead. I feel like it should have been made a lot more clear that he has a tight schedule and adheres tightly to your appointment time.
Anyways, maybe I will see him again the future. And be strictly on time. But just thought that it was information worth passing along. -

Very, very pleased with my first visit to Cisco! I called last night after reading the glowing reviews here on Yelp and left a message and Cisco called back within an hour and set an appointment for today. Went in, met Cisco (who is very friendly and sweet) and sat down. In fifteen minutes, he made my unruly, over-waxed brows look amazing. My face looks so different (in a very good way), I never even knew my brows could look this good. He is worth every penny and then some, I didn't hesitate to set my next appointment for three weeks from today. Go see Cisco, you will not be disappointed. Fantastic. 5/5!

I have been going to Cisco for my eyebrows and skin care now for probably 8 years or so?? (Wow I'm getting old!) One of the first things I remember after going a few times was that people kept commenting that I looked younger, my skin was glowing...etc. He is always on time, professional, and we always have great conversations when he is working on me. My eyebrows look great and my skin is smooth and I keep looking younger all of the time! (grin)

I cannot believe that I haven't reviewed Cisco yet! I've been going to him for about a year now and love every single eyebrow experience (how often can you say that about having hot wax applied to your face?) He does a great job with the design. Love the new location as well!

Review from R. K.
Irvine, CA
Well, small caveat: I went back for a second appointment and the salon kind of bungled it for me.
I had an appointment scheduled for 5:15, but then I was held up at work in a meeting that just would not end. I finally left the office at 5:00 and was worried about making it, so I called the receptionist at AJS salon. I told her I was just leaving, and should I bother to still come, or should I just reschedule? She was SUPER friendly, and told me, yes, you have time, come, Cisco will fit you in, etc., etc.
So, encouraged, I drove downtown and arrived about 10 minutes late to the appointment. I stood and waited for about 10 minutes for the receptionist to talk to me, but she was busy with a bunch of people. Finally this nice kid comes up to me and says "do you have an appointment" I tell him yes, but I'm a little late, and I called and they told me I should still come. So he says ok, I'll go tell Cisco, and I should have a seat.
I have a seat. I read a magazine. I become aborbed. Suddenly I look at my watch and it has been over 45 minutes since I sat down! The same nice kid comes rushing past and says, "did so-and-so (forget the name) get back to you?" "Who?" I say? He looks exasperated. "Well now she's on her break," he says.
Seeing as how it is now about 6:30 I figured it was time to cut my losses. "Well," I said, "I think I need to go home and have dinner now. I wish that she had just told me not to come when I called her. I would have been happy to reschedule." The kid looks very relieved and says, "sorry sweetie" and holds the door open for me.
After I left, I realized....hey wait a minute! No one even offers to reschedule the appointment for me? So I am up the creek without a paddle and if I want a new appointment I'm going to have to wait another month for one that isn't during work hours??
Gah. I feel that everyone in this scenario was *well-meaning* and that the salon was just busy that night. But as far as I'm concerned, they still managed to lure me to the salon against my better judgment, leave me hanging for an hour, and then usher me back out the door without ever delivering on their promise to "fit me in"!!
I left feeling extremely mistreated and frustrated. Maybe it is not worth the money after all.1 Previous Review: Show all »

Oh Cisco, what can I say. You truly live up to your title as master eyebrow designer and you have done wonders sanding away all of my imperfections via microdermabrasian. I no longer look like peter gallagher and for that I thank you. The best thing about him is that he truly is very nice and extremely knowledgeable which is very important when the said face sanding is occuring. Also, as to not give off the wrong impression, he makes both procedures virtually painless and his prices are very reasonable considering the excellent talent he possesses. Thank you for being a friend.

I have thick eyebrows and I'm really afraid to let anyone touch them. I've been to the best- Manana at Frederic Fekkai in NYC, Valerie in Beverly Hills, as well as some others locally. I am SO glad I found Cisco . He is awesome!! He really has vision. He not only waxes my brows perfectly but he does a great job of trimming them down perfectly too. They look amazing when I leave! I have never had so many compliments. His prices are reasonable, he's very personable and I have never felt like he has rushed my brows even though he is very busy and books 15 minute brow appointments. I also like that he has never tried to "suggest" or push any other services on me (even though I might need a few of them!) at least so far.
He also does brows in LA so you may not always get an appointment on the exact day you want/need it. Don't let his website fool you, he is way more down to earth than his macho website photo with his bevy of beauties might indicate. He is awesome! He is kind, sort of soft spoken and absolutely amazing at what he does. He makes me feel beautiful and I love him for it!1 Previous Review: Show all »

Don't believe the hype. I did and I ended up with eyebrows that have taken the last three months to grow in. I should start by saying that my first impressions of Cisco were really good. I contacted him late one evening and got a reply the same night and was given an appointment for the next day. But then my impression started to go down. When I got to his salon on time for my appointment, I was asked to wait for him while he finished a personal call. I didn't mind the wait too much because I was excited to meet this master eyebrow designer. When I finally sat down with him and had a consultation, I got the sense that he wasn't really listening to me. I told him that I was happy with the general shape of my brows and that I just needed them cleaned up. I like my brows full and natural looking. Years ago, when I was very young, I tried the Pamela Anderson thin look and it did not work on me at all. My brows have since grown in mostly except for a little hole that I fill in with pencil. I pointed that hole out to Cisco and asked for the hair around it to not be removed, otherwise they would be too thin. I got the sense that he thought he knew what was better for me than I did. Still, I went through with the service. I could tell it was now what I wanted immediately after the first strip of wax was pulled off. He had taken them too thin. I just sat there and let him do it to the other side, because what was I going to do? Have one thin eyebrow and one thick? The worst part of the whole experience was when he started trimming my eyebrows. I don't like my eyebrows trimmed. As I stated earlier I like my eyebrows full and natural looking. He never asked me if it was OK to trim by brows, he just did it. I ended up with what I call 90210 eyebrows. Not the new 90210 that's on now, but the one from when I was in high school. Too thin and overly trimmed. I'm afraid that he does all eyebrows this way. Pretends to listen, then does the same cookie-cutter shape on everyone. At least he threw the lip wax in for free. Oh, and he charges more for the service if you pay with a credit card. If you like thin, super-trimmed, cookie-cutter eyebrows, go to Cisco. If you want to be listened to and to have your wishes respected, look elsewhere. Thankfully, after that experience with Cisco, I did.

For anyone who is searching for someone to entrust with their eyebrows...look no further. Cisco is amazing. He lives up to his name as an eyebrow designer by thoughtfully shaping brows. He shapes two twin brows. (I've heard of people saying eyebrows are sisters more so than twins, because it's nearly impossible to get them to perfectly mirror each other.) Well, he proves this wrong. I've never been happier. On top of his skill, he is a pleasure to be around. Soft spoken and kind. He's the best you'll get and I'm so happy I found him!
