Really, really loved the Cisco Pile!! So much food (especially MEAT!!) and at such a great price ($5.50 - it was a featured special). Two could share the Cisco Pile fo' sho'.

The pastrami sandwich was just okay--nothing special and a bit on the small side, with an interesting tomato-based sauce. Overall, my husband & I had a great experience and we'll definitely be back for the Cisco Pile!!!

As an owner of a pit bull/lab mix, I love that they are Pit Bull lovers and have photos of pit bulls throughout the restaurant, and it's even imprinted on their logo. I'm guessing they are dog-friendly. They do have outdoor seating, where you could probably have lunch with your canine pal.

Food is only mediocre.  Owner and staff are racists, they dislike Latinos and are really up front about it.  Holy cow, Jesse James even named his company that owns all his shops and properties company "Mighty Whitey LLC"

Jesse and friends have African American employees, it's just Latino customers and employees they do not want.

What happened? Rolled by today around 740am to pick up some breakfast (wanted to try their French Toast)...but blinds were down and the restaurant was closed? Wait...did they close down? Are they closed for Thanksgiving? Or did they change their hours?

Neighborhood gem.  Jesse James' burger joint is a-ok in my book.  The signature burger was juicy, had just enough griddle crust, and sauce for my taste.  The fries were great since I like mine a little more crunchy than how other burger places prepare them.  Ciscos looks eco-conscious inside - unfinished metal duct work, simple light fixture, a lot of natural light, natural air, and closes early due to eco-friendly facility (solar power or uses natural light almost exclusively).  The restaurant is pretty small and definitely doesn't scream "Celebrity-owned."

Other important info: fair pricing, juicy and tasty burgers, small blink-and-you'll-miss-it, no real sign of celebrity ownership.

OK, I did a follow up to Cisco and as of August 2011, I think that this place is in trouble.  We ordered a BBQ Chicken Salad and a 50/50 fries and onion rings.  Not only did they completely forget about delivering us the fried portion of the food (I had to go to the counter and ask about them), they also told us that a key ingredient in the salad (avocado) was no longer available.  Oh, but they didn't tell us that until we asked about it after receiving the salad.  I think that would have been a crucial bit of information to divulge BEFORE people order.

Next, you have the lackadaisical attitude of the staff.  The employees had their friends hanging out at the restaurant, and they appeared to be more concerned with talking to them than helping customers.  As you look around the restaurant, you see that they are out of so many things.  They have a poster with the items that they sale, and then they have stickers on 80% of them saying "out of stock".

In the long run, I think that Cisco Burger is about to go out of business.  Jesse James' attempt at a restaurant appears to be heading the way of his motorcycle shops that were located a block away; they're headed for extinction.  With the attitude of his staff, I'd say Good Bye and Good Riddance.

We just got back from eatting here and it...sucked.

~The chicken strips had TOO much breading on them. No meat.
~Fries and onion rings were NOTHING special.
    ~Caesar Salad was LAME.
    ~Chili was canned
    ~Minestrone soup was not homemade.
~Chocolate Chip cookies were SO GROSS and salty! They had 2 chocolate chips PER cookie.

A lot of things we asked about they didn't have such as; no ice cream for the shakes, no almond tarts and no giant cookies.

I'm giving this place 1 star because it DID have a Veggie Burger, Salad and vegetarian soup option.

Altough they seem to be known for their burgers, because that's what everyone was ordering, we did not try them.

Parking is terrible. Lot only holds max 20 cars. The place was busy at lunch time. Probably because it's the ONLY place to eat in the industrial part of Long Beach.

Here's the deal. The fries are good, but that's it. This is the most forgettable burger I've ever had, and it wasn't cheap or served hot. The cheese wasn't fully melted, and the flavor (or lack thereof) was a let down.

Ordered a double cheese burger well with bacon, got a not hot, not melted, no bacon burger.
The waitress  came over and picked up my burger and returned it with cold bacon slid into the same burger, please tell me that's even legal by Health Department codes?
I've been twice to this joint and both times I've been less than happy with the food.
Sorry, but food should not be a crap shoot, not going for the third time  here.

So, I definitely love the "Green" concept here. TONS of natural lighting inside this place, including the large windows, awesome skylight, and florescent light bulbs in the overhead lamps. My receipt was even made from recycled paper!

I ordered the Cisco Burger w/ Cheese, my BF ordered the Double Cisco Burger w/ Cheese, and we shared an order of the Chili Cheese Fries.

It was a pretty good flame-broiled burger! I'm not usually a fan of flame-broiled, but this burger was so light and healthy - yet super tasty at the same time. It's hard to come by that combo. Chili Cheese Fries were sooo fresh. Even the onions on top were freshly diced!

Of course, I felt guilty for supporting the establishment owned by Jesse James... but I gotta give it to the guy - he's got a great thing going on here at Cisco Burger.

There's a small parking lot in the back, and a grassy area with outdoor tables where you can enjoy your meal on a nice day. A very eclectic crowd that rolls through! Fun for people watching, while you eat :)

They close at 4pm Mon - Sat, and at 2pm on Sundays... don't be late!

Revisted Cisco's today after getting one of their $25 certificates off http://Restaurant.com. It was definitely a better deal than paying full price and kept me from rating it down to 2-stars.

While the staff was as pleasant and helpful as we've seen in the past (good cust. service), and the burgers and pastrami were excellent, the fries were...not great. They've changed them since our last visit. Today's fries were skinny and chewy. Not thick and crisp as before.

Another bummer...they didn't use the eco-friendly to-go containers! For a place that advertises eco-friendliness, this was a big bummer.

Come on Cisco's...we've how awesome you can be. Don't give up!

So why do people hate this place?
    I dont get it.

I mean, sure you might be supporting some kind of stripper loving tattoo covered, totally cheated on americas sweetheart guy. But, hey.. its delicious, and solar powered. It outweighs the negatives in my book.

    Anyway, the food.
The lunch is meh, but their breakfast is gold! Its cheap and delicious. I promise. The bomb breakfast burrito, no meat, add avocado. Its  a giant tasty mess of eggs, hash browns, cheese, and salsa.. mmm, drool*  To cheese this up a bit, we can try to be clever and note its "the bomb". Ciscos spuds are my favorite breakfast potatoes, and potatoes happen to be my favorite thing ever, right after cheese. Their crunchy french toast satisfy my cravings anyday. Why 5 stars? Because its close, filling, cheap, tasty and eco friendly. yipeee.

Ohh, they deliver too, sticking to their energy efficient theme, the delivery person drives a cisco'd out prius. nifty.

Important- it closes at 4, because solar power doesnt work with the moon. Who knew?

My husband loves hamburgers. LOVES them.
And so I found this place on yelp and thought we should try it out.
It was not too empty and has a personality all its own. Its kind of an "on the edge" burger place.  Pictures of "Cisco" the dog everywhere. And it suites the place. He's a pitbull....

The hamburgers are good but not the best I have ever had.You can get your burger on a wheat bun, which I like. The patty is thicker than you would get at most places, but not huge.  A little greasy for my taste, but good. I Not over top amazing so I would not make the drive from far away but great if you want an alternative to the typical burger and are in the area.

    I love this place!

The produce is all locally grown. The beef is all grass fed. And they make their own pastrami. The burgers are the best. The onion rings are huge.

Get there kind if early because it does get super packed. Is a good thing the service is fast. If your lucky you might even see Jesse there.

Wow.  Why did the new management destroy the place?

They had the best fries and good food.  Now it's just the same crap as everyone else.

I'm sure they saved a good 10 cents by replacing the best fries in LB with "common" fires.  No one drives a distance to go to a below average burger joint.  People use to drive miles to go there.

Hey other people in the business, this is the perfect example of what NOT to do - save a few pennies and lose 80% of your customers.

The french fries are AMAZING! they are lightly battered or something so crispy on the outside, but soft & yummy but not too thick on the inside. The onion rings are great too. I've only had the 1/4 burger but its pretty good. You can get wheat bun if you like.
Would definitely go back & pig out on fries. Seems like they have a good size menu, from breakfast, to burgers to salads.

I brought some friends from Texas and Louisiana with me to eat here and it was awesome. We all ordered Cisco double burgers on whole wheat and theywere excellent. We were about halfway thru our meal when we saw Jesse James riding an old school bicycle out front. I Decided to write the review while the other two went to take pics of the WCC operation. Really good burgers with fast service.

Ended up here a while back with the guys from work for lunch - this review is long overdue.

As a fan of pit bulls, I love how the interior is dedicated to Cisco. The detail, even down to the etched benches was pretty cool. The place was well kept as well.

For the food - I had a 1/4 special (1/4 pound burger /cheese, fried and a drink). The burger was pretty good. Patty was juicy and the ingredients weren't skimped on. The bun was fresh and the fries were nice and hot. I couldn't ask for more of a burger joint close to work with an ambiance that's particular to my liking.

Lots of parking and out door seating too.

Went by for lunch today and sadly found that it looks like they've closed their doors for good. Many in my office had been boycotting the place since the scandal broke. It looks like we weren't the only ones. I feel bad for the employees that were affected. I'm amazed new ownership did not change the name to distance themselves. Based on reviews since the transition though it sounds like it was doomed anyway.

    Top Reasons to Cisco:

    10. No lines!

    9. Really good coffee...like speed.

    8. Man this place is dead. Lot's of people are all about Steve's burger for food but this place is tight.

    7. I've a premonition the proprietor must wonder why Cisco is empty.

    6. Love their Bomb Breakfast Burrito. Interesting name. Bomb...hmmm as in eggs are in a shell. Why not Bombshell Burrito? I think that would make this place more crowded.

    5. Nice salsa...been 28 days since I've had such nice salsa.

    4. Solar power. If it's cloudy will it take ages to get the grill hot? Did the proposal for solar power pay for itself over time, I wonder?

    3. Exercise! No drive-thru. Don't be blindsided by this fact.

    2. Avoid the hunger crash.

    1. Nice congeniality offered by the hostess.

Hmmmmm....I know Jesse has been a bit preoccupied lately...maybe that is a direct reflection on my Cisco Burger experience.

The interior is cool. Stainless steel table tops, love the industrial lights and everything "appears" to have a clean white look to it.

Unfortunately, the blinds were dusty and dirty and while the table tops were clean, the floor was kinda gross. Not just dirty in the sense that a matte white tile floor is going to get dirty just looking at it. But dirty as in food on the floor, dark dirt smudges everywhere....hmmm...I'm not a neat/clean freak by any sense of the imagination but if you are going for the clean industrial look, you better be able to keep it up.

The burger was just OK. Roomie's are better and the deli next to my work (Hello, Wende) makes sliders that will rival this burger. However, the fries are BOMB! Texturally somewhere between fries and onion rings. Hot, crispy, not greasy with a minute bit of a light batter thing going on...hello my lovelies....come to Mama.....

I'd come here again for the fries. Maybe to try some of the breakfast items people have raved about. The staff was nice and food came out quickly and piping hot. I'd just like to see a little more maintenance go into the upkeep of the interior. Come on Jesse, I know things have been rough but I think Cisco would want his namesake burger joint to be a little cleaner. He deserves it.

But, I'd still eat the fries...dirty blinds and food on the floor....or not.

After 4 failed attempts, we finally made it into Jesse James' famed Cisco Burger during business hours!

So we got here and from the looks of the parking lot we thought it was going to be foiled attempt #5, but we figured, hey.. at least it's OPEN this time haha. Once we settled in and got a table we ordered the cheeseburger combo with 50/50 fries, and a rootbeer for the lady :) When we got the food, everything looked fantastic. The burger looked scrumptious, but after sampling it, I make a better one here at the house if we're being honest. It's so weird, everything LOOKED like, 'how could this NOT be amazing'?, but when we bit in, there was no real taste. Sure, we knew we were eating a burger, but it tasted just so so.. nothing too exciting happening in that bun. And I noticed there was no sauce on the burger.. wtf?

Moving on to the 50/50 fries and onion rings. I didn't really love the fries either.. they were battered sort of weird textured sticks, completely devoid of salt (and I'm not even one that usually adds salt at the table!). Maybe they're thinking the 'seasoning' in the batter for the fries is enough? Texturally, they were right on with the onion rings, but they also were in need of some flava!

All in all, an ok meal, but not worth 10 bucks a head for sure. Nothing personal, Jesse, I know this place is more of a hobby than anything (and it shows). Location is undesirable, and we basically had to pass a few superior joints on the way. I'd MUCH rather dine at Louis Burger on Atlantic based on taste.. and price actually!

Oh, and I read a lot of people noting service issues. Though we had little contact with the staff outside of ordering and receiving our food, they seemed very friendly :)

Kobe beef burgers, crispy/crunchy onion rings and fries, solar powered spot and in Long Beach. This place is pretty awesome. Burgers are great, fries and onion rings are great. They even have great breakfast. I had their pancakes and I'm pretty picky with my pancakes..Basically, everything is bomb.

This spot is located right next to West Coast Choppers in Long Beach and is actually Jesse James' restaurant. The workers are really chill and nice and know my brother personally cause he stops by a lot, which I like. Getting to know regulars is always a plus in my book.

Only downside to this place is that because it's solar powered it closes super duper early. I believe they close at 2 and 4pm depending on weekdays and weekends.

I usually get the "pile" or the bomb breakfast burrito. Today i got the Pile.  Although it was tasty I was not satisfied with the customer service. I was with my sister and we had 2 separate orders but because we were together they cooked our piles together and than divided it by 3 which mean the portion I was expecting was cut by almost half!!!

Usually I cant eat the whole thing because its piled so high which makes it worth the 5.50.  I bragged about the portions to my sister because she had never been there but I was totally disappointed when after 30 minutes of waiting we got ripped off!

hey homes next time do it right or you will lose a customer.

Burgers are better than you'd find at any Mickey Dee's or other chain.

They have a pretty good deal - for five bucks, you get a burger, with fries, and a drink.  I always drink water, so I thought I'd get just the burger and fries, but it's actually cheaper to just get the combo ( I guess this is only useful for those water drinkers out there).

They don't charge for the ranch (at least they've never charged me). They have good ranch, too! I love me a place with quality ranch!

They close relatively early, too. Check the times.

And nope, I didn't see the punk ass, Jesse James, there...nor, do I care to.

Here's how it went. "OH CRAP WHAT WAS THAT!?!! My tire didn't just pop on my brand new bicycle did it?" Actually no, it was the kids trailer wheel. Had to pull off the bike trail to wait for my rescuer who was about 20 miles away.  I wonder what is around here....My phone says nothing except this place called Cisco burgers. I guess I will check it out.

This place saved my disastrous day. The girl behind the counter was super sweet. I wasn't super hungry so I shared a Triple Decker Club and a Cobb salad. My kids had the chicken strips. The Triple Decker was delicious, I didn't finish my salad but I gifted it to my rescuer who said it was "bomb". The onion rings were really delicious and the ranch was delicious. Only down side was that they were closing just as I was receiving my food. Who closes at 2? I guess they said they don't get much business on Sundays after that time. They didn't rush me out or feel like I needed to get the hell out so they could go home which was a relief.  I am planning to make this place my weekend pit stop on our bike runs.

Jessie who??? Blah to celebrities. Who cares, really? I try to stay outta their business, unless of course they serve onion rings with ranch :-)

I like this place.  Nothing wrong here.

Good burgers & fries.  Simple diner food.

I live in L.A. and normally I wouldn't drive down to Long Beach just for a burger  BUT  since this place is owned by Jesse James  AND his shop http://www.yelp.com/bi... is right next door, it makes it a destination for a nice little motorcycle ride.

If you own a motorcycle or just like 'em.  I'd say head down to Cisco burger, get a bite to eat and then walk over to Jesse's shop and look around.  Maybe buy a West Coast Choppers t-shirt (or a chopper if you've got the $$).

I had wanted to try this place for the longest because I love how they use solar energy to power the place. Saw a deal on Living Social and decided to finally try the burgers here. The place is spacious, very clean, and has so much natural lighting. Pretty nice. I ordered their burger, fries, and drink. I had really high expectations for this place and expected the burgers to be a little bigger. Honestly, In-n-Out is way better and the burgers at Cisco tasted like any other burger joint.

I was excited to have a good, fresh burger here and well that didn't happen.

I got the 1/4 lb burger combo that doesn't come with cheese, but it does come with fries and a coke for $5.00.  Not a bad deal.

Almost immediately after I sat down the food came out.  Ok, so the burger isn't freshly made.  The cheese isn't melted and the fries look like they've been through the fryer a few times and while the fries are hot, they have no seasoning.  I was hugely disappointed.

We asked the gal behind the counter if the food was fresh and she said yes.  Ok.  How do you freshly make a well-done patty in less than a minute?  Do you have some sort of super-sonic contraption back there?  But instead of saying, she was sorry about the cold burger she just shrugged her shoulders and said OH.

UGH!  I hate bad customer service!  So, my mom went to her again and said look I know you don't care, but you should know for your next customer that the food is cold.  A few minutes later another girl slammed the money on the table and said here's your money back for the cold burger.  Again, no we're sorry.

I don't know if it was just an off day, but there was hardly anyone in there and really no excuse for the bad attitude.  I'd be willing to try it again, but Jesse needs to get people in there that are more service oriented.

Celebrity owners (Jesse James and Sandra Bullock) aside, this place has a lot going for it. I mean, sure the menu is small, but they give you a lot of options. Allow me to illustrate through the writer's crutch known as a flashback:

I walk up to the counter at 11:30 a.m. and ask if it's too early to order a burger.

"No, we serve them all day," the young lady replies.

"OK, I'll have a veggie burger."

    "Spicy Bean or regular Gardenburger?"

    "Uh, regular."

"Do you want the onions grilled?"

    "Sure."

"Would you like cheese with that?"

    "OK."

"Cheddar, blah blah, blah blah or swiss?"

    "Uh, swiss."

"Would you like an order of fries or onion rings?"

    "Yeah, I'll have some fries."

    "OK, what about a drink?"

"Sure, I'll have a small Coke."

Twenty minutes later, my entire order was placed. No, I kid. It was more like twenty-five minutes. No, I kid again. Seriously, I really appreciated having all those options. OK, back to the flashback:

The decor here is so bright and clean. Steel-topped tables are mounted to the walls, flanked by bent-plywood benches stylishly branded with the Cisco Burger logo. A skylight above (where else would it be?) provides natural illumination. And fixtures hanging over the tables are equipped with energy-efficient fluorescent bulbs.

Wait a minute, Smivey, fluorescent bulbs? That's right. In case you haven't heard, this place is all about doing the right thing. The entire restaurant is powered by solar energy. Takeout orders are packaged in biodegradable containers. And if you're eating in, your food is served on actual ceramic plates. Speaking of which, I think my burger and fries are ready.

Ah, yes. This is a good ol' fashioned burger (aside from the fact that it's meatless and made from oats and whatnot), topped with all sorts of wonderful things: pickles, grilled onions, cheese, etc. Mmmmm. It's gooooood. And messy. Fortunately, I have plenty of unbleached napkins to clean up after myself.

The fries here are coated with a light batter, which gives them a nice, delicate texture. And, of course, the ketchup I'm dipping them in is certified organic.

Incidentally, I hear they also serve an excellent real meat burger here, made with Kobe beef, the same delicious meat Kobe Bryant was named after.

    OK, end of flashback.

This was a great experience. When you eat at this place, you not only feel like you're doing something better for your body, you feel like you're doing something better for the environment. But then you remember you drove 22 miles from Playa del Rey just to eat here. And needless to say, you don't drive no Prius. Oh well. You do what you can.

I had decided as of last night after reading [all] of the reviews on Cisco Burger that I was going to get me some meat for lunch (in the form of a hamburger that is!)

I'd been by many times and thought "what is a cool looking burger joint doing here in this element?" That is until I found out that "Bad Boy" Jesse James has his West Coast Chopper business just up the road and he owns this joint.

I pull in around 12:30 PM, place is packed, only 2 parking spots and I'm so hungry I could eat Loni Love!

I walked in and there sat Jesse James with another person chomping on a burger (Sandra Bullock is a very lucky woman!)

I ordered the double cheeseburger with grilled onions and the works on a wheat bun (as if the wheat bun is gonna help the LDL/HDL) and 50/50 fries and onion rings. Hey $16.47 with the tip but I don't do combos with a drink; I got my own iced cold milk to go with it!

I couldn't get this baby home fast enough since it's quite the stretch from Magnolia & Anaheim St. to 3rd & Temple.

WOWKAZOWWEE! I ate and savored every bit of this scrumptious, delectable burger all along dipping my onion rings and fries in Thousand Island Dressing! Also, an ice cold glass of fat-free milk to wash it down (just as nuts as drinking a diet drink when you're overweight!)

This hamburger tasted just like a BBQ'ed burger you'd make right off you own grill and not a thin In-And-Out piece of meat either! Thick, juicy and full of flavor.

Even after my nap I didn't have that "OMFG why did I eat that" feeling. No additives and good corn feed beef is why I'm not lying in a coma!

Do yourselves a flavor and stop in and enjoy; I did and definitely will be back!

PFFFFFT! In-And-Out-Burger, the divorce papers are in the mail!

I gotta say it's pretty cool to have this place open up in middle of a ghetto hood. Damn, if you noticed...even Smivey is coming to grotto. It got say something if the dude is willing to coming here just for a burger.

As obviously pointed out by many, this place is owned and operated by Hollywood actress Sandra Bullock (Speed, While You Were Sleeping) and her husband, Jesse James. I guess it was a huge hoopla when it was opened up back then with a huge fanfare. Now that it dies down a bit,  how was it?

The place is located in a "developing" neighborhood of Anaheim Street. Boy, do I used that term very loosely. I know I was heading towards the right place at night....as it was the only place that have lights on at the long stretch portions of that entire street until you hit Long Beach Blvd.

The place was a cozy little diner with about 10 metal counter top tables on the inside with two bench tables at the grass on the outside. Looked like Johnny Rockets or classic In-N-Out Burger joint. The decor was nice and the menu was very simple.

There's not a whole lot you can order. For now, they're keeping it simple so that you are ordering the obvious choices of the Cisco Burger. With Fries or Onion Rings, this will set you back like a traditional $6 burger. I would highly recommend getting the onion rings to go along with the burger. It's also a nice touch in that they will let you choose the type of cheese and let you decide if you would like your onions grilled or being served raw.

Cisco Burgers also served several breakfast item all day. The one that I took home with me was the Denver Omelet. It also comes with the choice of bread to go along with that.

Most of the items cost around $6 or less, but the portions are very big. I had hesitant with this place because it's mostly staffed with younger staffs. Instead of a traditional "hired help", most of them are younger college kids working either at the cooking and the counter staff. In fact, I even think the manager is younger than me!

So, it's nice to know that they are willing to give these younger generations a chance. How do they stacked up? They were friendly and very courteous. Thank goodness because after Papoo's at Toluca, I'd almost don't want to deal with younger staff, but they put me at ease with the polite manners and quick service in that I had a good experience at this place.

    How about 'em Cisco Burger?

    The verdict....delicious!

I'll definitely come back and try something else later. I'm mean after all if Smivey don't get out very much and come here for the burger... you gotta believe it'll be damn good.

Me and my coworker went here today for lunch.  She's driven past it a few times and wanted to try it out and since it is also a Triple D [[Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives]], I agreed to go!  The place was pretty empty considering it was lunch time.  Which worked for us because we were on a timed schedule and couldnt afford a line and/or long wait.

The food was pretty good.  We got the burger special [[burger, fries, and medium drink for $5 plus tax]].  Their fries were hot and crunchy.  I think they were dipped in the batter they use for onion rings because it had that taste to it.  The burger was decent and kind of messy with their secret sauce on it.  All in all the combo was worth the special price but not the $8 it's usually charged as.  I honestly dont think any burger joint that is prepared just as fresh as In-N-Out should cost more than In-N-Out.  If im going to pay $8 and up for a burger combo, I should be getting waiter service at a sit down restaurant.

I would come back here if I was in the area [[which I never am though]].  Definitely not a place I would go out of my way to get. I think it's pretty cool that everything is solar powered.  With that in mind, you should get here before the sun goes down because they will be CLOSED. :)

The cholo took my burger!!! Paid for a 5 dollar meat and took my 10 dollar order!!!

Marvin and Marlen(yeah they misspelled my name) are totally different!!!

The cholo was happy getting extra for his money!!!

So yeah it didn't start well between me and Cisco Burger, I have to wait longer so they can make me a new one. Sadly they didn't do it right too... i want grilled onions!!!

Finally i got my order while that cholo is almost done eating, first bite and it was good!!! Juicy and the patty is big! They have the perfect ratio of the bun and the patty i can't say no more but its worth coming back! I love their fries and onion rings too!!! And get their chilicheese fries too or have a chili on the side and dip your fries so that it stays crispy!

I will totally go back here but not soon cause its too much its like 2 meals already.

Dammit! I hate when I go to Long Beach and straight forget to bring my thick dog leash chain, wife beater and Dickies. Dammit all to hell ;) But thanks to Cisco, at least I got my pit bull fix! Hehe

So Cisco is a little burger joint in the middle of what seems like a part of Long Beach time forgot or possibly deserted. It's super industrial around these parts and there isn't a whole hell of a lot surrounding this place which probably explains the packed house.

As for the grub, it was good. I ordered the cheeseburger and had I known it was smothered, and i do mean smothered as in drowning in thousand island sauce, I would have ordered it without that since Thousand Island dressing is pretty much the anti-Christ in my book. Major yucks, but once I wiped most of it off with my napkin it was good.

The fries and onion rings were awesome! Crispy and crunchy and supa dupa fried and tasty and a plate of the 50/50 would be enough to call lunch, but they are a fantastic addition to a burger.

Other than that, be prepared for a bright setting. Everything there is bright white and the glare is a bit much, so just be prepared.

Damn it Sandra Bullock - why'd you have to take my soul mate? I mean, Jesse James ... he is the epitome of man.  He is everything a good man should be.  He's cute, he's artistic, he has balls of steel, he has a pitbull that is almost as cute as mine, and he owns this little burger joint right in the middle of one of my favorite places of LB.  Jesse, if you're reading this, i love you.

I'm really surprised I hadn't heard about this place a long time ago.  It's pretty small, but it oozes cool.  The people who work there are cool, the decor is cool, the food is cheap and good, and they deliver locally for free ... so... cool.  This is a great place to take jesse james lovers, because just a few doors down is west coast choppers.  You can't really see inside or anything, but it's a pretty large area that has iron crosses everywhere (cool!).

OK, so enough about the cool factor (did i mention it's really cool!?), lets move on to the food.  It's good!  I had the cisco's pile breakfast.  Now, I must admit, it's not the most appetizing thing to order - and it's not very good looking.  But damn, it's good.  They make it with garlic and all kinds of peppers and meat.  Their sausage is spicy and soo good.  And, it's cheap!  I'll come back when i'm in this area for sure.

    Stay cool, Jesse, stay cool.
    xoxo

So like this is my review of like Cisco burger.

I was having a hectic day at the office.  The team of account managers were supposed to ship out of town for a few days to visit a client and leave me with some peace & quiet. Then, at the last minute they decided to stay and order lunch in.

But that's a whole other story....

I was told that lunch would be delivered at noon.  At 12:15 there was still no driver, no lunch, and the team was getting hungry.   A call was placed to Cisco to determine the wherabouts of said lunches.

"Like the driver he like just left."  Is what we were told

At almost 1pm there was STILL NO DELIVERY.  Another call was placed to Cisco.

"Like I don't know like where the driver is.  He like left a long time ago."

"May I speak to your manager?"

    "Like I don't have one."

"No, everyone has a boss.  Where is yours?"

    "Like she's not here."

    "When will she be back?"

    "Like I don't know."

As the blood sugar levels dropped and the appetites soared in the office a delivery person finally arrived with everyone's lunch.  By that time the video conference had begun and the team couldn't eat while on camera with a client.

Next time they should just leave town, but again that's another story.

The chicken salad specifically ordered with NO AVOCADO (because this person has severe allergies)  arrived over an hour late.....with bits of avocado.

We called, and complained.   The manager delivered a new salad, a refund and an offer for a free lunch with humble apologies.

That apology like earned Cisco, like one more star.
