Cindy Fong is a genius. And I do not say that lightly. Her low key, calm, professional and caring demeanor combine with her extraordinary talent as a photographer to make her, well, a genius. I am not a fan of stuffy false looking portraits nor of weirdly obvious "casual shots,"and Cindy's work hits that ideal middle--everything looks both perfect and unscripted at the same time.
She did the photography for my sister's wedding and managed to make everyone look wonderful and relaxed, play up the setting, capture photographs of every one and every essential moment, often moments we were not even aware of, and put them together to create a magical record that is both fresh and timeless.
I know I sound a bit over the top, but seriously--we hate getting pictures taken and having Cindy with us from the pre-wedding getting ready at my parents through to the ate night party kids with hula hoops dancing at the reception was a total pleasure. And the pictures are amazing.

Cindy is a highly gifted and creative photographer (and designer).
Our church had Cindy photograph our worship service and Sunday school during Easter for our website and other publications. Our experience was similar to previous post, Cindy was up to the task of taking on and making comfortable a large group (whose religious practices were previously unfamiliar to her). The photographs she took were absolutely stunning and full of surprise. Get her while you can, this photographer is going places!!! -

I hate having my picture taken. Which is why after laboring over the wedding budget with my large and opinionated family, we argued over what we could skip and what we HAD to have at the wedding. I thought maybe leaving the photos up to random friends would be just fine.
Thank God I was talked out of that because, thanks to Cindy Fong, we have the most beautiful photos of our wedding that we could ever have dreamed of.
For a person who is camera shy like me, Cindy is a dream come true on your wedding day. She can handle any situation, or large group and pop in and out of the scene with skill and grace all while taking beautiful spontaneous photographs. For the posed images, she makes it feel natural and casual in the moment-- but then you see the final image and her skill really comes through in the glamour and simplicity she brings to every shot
Cindy is a true professional in every way- reliable, clear, flexible, knowledgeable and utterly prepared to handle anything that can come up (and will come up!) during a wedding and reception.
But above all else- she is an incredibly talented photographer who can see the best side of a person or social exchange and capture it without ever intruding or forcing anything.
She also has kind advice in the small moments of panic before any wedding that she offered with her easy smile and calming presence. I honestly can't imagine what those hours preceding the ceremony would have been like without her supportive reassurance! Not part of her job, sure, but a testament to her character nonetheless.
I would recommend Cindy Fong to anyone with the highest praise and faith that she will do a beautiful job and understand precisely what's important to capture and just how to do it.

We asked Cindy to photograph our daughters' legal adoptions at the court house. While this might be an unusual assignment, Cindy met it with grace, confidence and tenderness. She captured moments that are complicated and rich - and help us remember ourselves. At the end of our "experience" we were waiting in line to file paperwork with the clerk - our family and friends had gone on to the reception - but Cindy lovingly insisted on staying with us til the end, "getting it all". Cindy shows up all the way - and then gets out of the way - and somehow gets it all on film. She is stellar. 5 stars. 2 thumbs up. Number 1.

Cindy is an amazing photographer with an exquisite eye for detail. She can take any setting and make the photographs she takes there look like they should be on the cover of a magazine! Cindy is also really fun to work with. She made my family and I feel super comfortable when she shot us, and having my picture taken isn't really my thing. Cindy's pictures capture the essence of the moment in a simple but real way. She's the best photographer I've ever met!

Cindy managed to capture our childrens' wonderful fleeting moments on film - everything from smiles to silly faces to winks. I've commissioned multiple photographers in my personal and professional life and Cindy outshines them all - I only wish I knew about her sooner! And amazingly, her gorgeous editorial photographs cost only a fraction of the price charged by other photographers. Book her while you can.

Cindy was the photographer for our son's bar mitzvah and did a fabulous job! She took great photos of the service while being completely unobtrusive and truly captured the spirit of the event with both candid and posed photos of family and friends during the party that followed. Cindy was great at making us all feel relaxed and even my kids who generally hate having their pictures taken enjoyed the experienced. Best of all, we got amazing photos. I can't recommend Cindy enough.
