Review from justin p.
Walnut Creek, CA
Okay, you are going to have to take my review with a grain of salt, because the main attraction here is fried chicken and I have been meat-free for several years. But take it on my past experience and my companions' word that Cindy-Dee still has the best fried chicken this side of... well, probably this side of anywhere. This is the consummate road house, filled with regulars, but they are used to having "outsiders" stop by on their way to rafting on the Shenandoah, so don't be intimidated. They don't have much for the vegetarian palate (iceberg lettuce, anyone?), but if you eat fish they usually have a serviceable fried seafood dish of some variety (can't recommend the oysters though). They also have a killer milk shake. You certainly won't go away hungry, unless of course you're vegetarian. I'd give it 5 stars for the fried chicken, 3-4 stars for the fried everything else and no stars for the non-existent non-fried choices.

Review from Scott E.
Glengary, WV
WARNING: We've been wanting to go to this restaurant for years for that fried chicken we've heard about, always seeing its billboard from the road as we pass from WV to MD and back again, but never finding the right time to stop. We finally made deliberate plans to visit here for dinner tonight on the way back from family. We turned on to the road at around 8:30 on a Saturday night and could see the lights were out, and when we pulled up into the parking lot we could see a CLOSED sign in the window -- whether for the night, for the week, or permanently, who knows? I think they're out of business. But maybe they're only open at the height of tubing/tourist season. Don't stop by unless you've phoned and learned that it's open.
