Made reservations and ate here for dinner.
Beautiful view and its only good for first timer.
This buffet was mainly asian fusion style.  They had house special lobster fried and cooked outside and little dumplings.
Their wasn't much of a variety of desserts and the food was okay.
Not worth spending $50 to eat here when I think the Universal Hilton is better!

Came here with friends for Sunday Brunch.  I love it! This was a year ago so I am not exactly sure if they are still as good.  This is the best place for Chinese food style Sunday Brunch with family and friends.  You get pretty much everything you want and more!  If you love Chinese style Seafood you will love this place.  My friend came here for dinner and they said it was So-So.  The price is $31 - $50.  Cima is a nice restaurant with outstanding view of the golf course and Pacific Palm resort and adjacent hills.  As a Sunday Brunch place, it's well worth the money.

I've also been here for two weddings, and a casino event, the facility is definitely clean and you are pretty much free to roam around the common areas and lobby after the reception.  The lobby is huge with plenty of sofas and resting areas.  The food for all three events was great but the waiters are not very friendly to my friends.  Crazy (fun) things have happened here, which is another reason why I had wonderful memories at Pacific Palm.

One of the most expensive buffets I've been to outside of Vegas.  In fact most expensive anywhere.  I am not sure the price justifies the experience but it's pretty close.  When you have lobster, raw oysters, crab legs, and shark fin soup readily available, you know you are in food heaven.  I believe the price was like $60 a pop, if I remember correctly.

Ambience- Kinda cramped, would expect more for the price.

Food- All kinds of delicious food.  They have real coconuts they drill a hole in so you can drink it through a straw.  How fun is that.

Service- They are attentive and come by often to refill your drinks and pick up the used plates.

It's like a Vegas buffet, but local!! Love it! it's a bit pricey so try to go with your parents so they can pay for you. =) For the price of the buffet, you get a great selection of seafood, typical asian food, shabu shabu, even a fresh fruit smoothie bar! Get your money's worth and eat fourths and fifths!!!

They used to have a seafood buffet. Was very good and had a lot of selection. I believe it is much better than Castaways in Burbank although I gave them the same rating

I'm kind of torn... I guess in all honesty, I would give this place 3 stars, but I added an extra star for service because our waiter was super sweet and helped us make our event really special and pull off a surprise for our parents' 29 year anniversary.

We had a party of 16 and were seated right next to the smoothie bar... real convenient! The tropical fruits smoothie was SO yummy... basically a strawberry colada... mmm! My boyfriend was immediately sold when he saw the coconut drinks... although the more food we ate, the more we felt that the food was just mediocre.

Inside, there's seafood, asian food, and then random dishes like mac & cheese and mashed potatoes. Then outside, you have your sushi bar, dim sum, shabu shabu, and korean bbq. The variety was actually pretty good, although it definitely caters more to Asians. Our waiter was so friendly to us the whole night though, he helped hide us so we could pop out of the kitchen area to surprise my mom and brought out a special cake that said Happy Anniversary with my parents' names on it too!

I wouldn't compare this to Vegas buffets... more like SeaCliff on Wednesday nights... haha. brownie points if you know what I'm talking about...

I really wasn't that impressed with the food that they served now was I impressed with the service. We actually drove into West Covina the next day to get sushi and it was a more pleasant experience. Maybe next time Cima!

There is nothing witty or clever about this review because this place really wasn't worth the time. I'm sorry to disappoint.

I think I may have a slight case of mercury over load from all the crab legs and PEELED shrimp cocktail I had.  The brunch here is by far one of the best around.  The set up is kinda cool too.  There are different food stations all throughout the restaurant and also outside on the patio.  There's an omelette station, dim sum/ shabu shabu station, a taco station (carne asada tacos!), bbq station (the prime rib was soooo good!), sushi station, and even a smoothie station (try the watermelon shake with boba).  Champagne and OJ are included so you can make your own mimosas.  It is a little pricey, but definitely worth every penny!

i've been here... three times, and each time the experience just gets worse.... perhaps it's the economy? they have less and less 'good' stuff....

they used to have a LOT of good stuff that they just never do anymore... the lobsters still there, but it's not really as tasty as before... the only thing that's good i'd say is the lamb, and the fresh squeezed juices.  the clam/oysters are NOT fresh, the cocktail shrimp are all in SMALL sizes...

deserts were just OK... nothing much special...

there was a group of 15 of us there and they automatically charged us 20% services fee.... so we each paid like $63!

ah, so not worth it.  i miss the buffet in Vegas.

It was my birthday and it was my mom's idea to come and have a celebratory brunch here. I knew she was waiting for an excuse to come back to this place and I guess she found one in my birthday ;P.

We all enjoyed a wonderful Sunday brunch here (my family, boyfriend and good friend). Mimosas with delicious food (dim sum, Spanish, typical breakfast foods, fresh seafood, BBQ).... what more can you ask for?? Everyone was happy. Come on, even the boyfriend drove from Redlands to enjoy this feast (because he loves this place too)!

So it was a very yummy birthday for me :). They even gave me a Happy Birthday cheesecake... Too bad I was already full and I refused the singing. haha

Came here for the buffet and as an expert of Vegas buffets, I am spolied when it comes to both quality and quantity. So without further review, my review. Sorry about the intentional redundancy.

You have your salads, your cold cuts, your cheeses and your main entrees. Main entrees were Sirloin steak and/or broiled fish. I forgot what exactly the fish was, but it was okay in a great sauce. I'm not sure how to describe this food in a geographic sense. Maybe it's Asian fusion or something like that. That's my best guess. But the main entrees were very saucy and very tasty. Please do mind the fact that I know my buffets, coming from Vegas experience.

Now, there's a great mustard, spice sauce I found near the cold cut/cheese section. This mustard sauce saved the experience for me. It goes great with everything. With the sirloin steak, cold cuts and even the rice. The rice was a glorified Rice a Roni mix. Good texture but not tasty at all. That lost a star with me.

The prices overall are a bit high. Compared to Vegas buffets, it's not quite up to those standards. But with the view of the San Gabriel Valley along with the two golf courses, Cima looks like a great place for a date, wedding reception or any special event. Food is good, not super special. Location is wonderful and price is okay. A recommendation from me.

I may have a different view of Cima than most of the reviewers here.

Why?
Because I have had 7 meals at Cima in the past 3 days. And I have 3-5 more meals to go for the next 2 days. I've been coordinating a week-long program here and all our meals are provided by the Cima restaurant.

So after 7 meals...here are my thoughts:

-The look of the restaurant isn't that great; I would recommend sitting outdoors so you can enjoy the weather and the green surroundings. At night, you can overlook the city lights.
-Great service
-They have overcooked my meat twice in a row. I requested medium rare and they've given me medium well. It makes me want to order rare next time.
-The food can be salty
-They drench your salad with dressing; ask for it on the side
-One of the salads came out as just huuuge pieces of romain...it was not fun cutting it up
-Better food than most conference centers

Really, 3.5 stars. My best friend, Teresa, treated me to dinner here at Cima when I was back in town. The buffet selection was great, the service friendly, and the restaurant space comfortable (not overcrowded or noisy). Another plus is that this place is rather pricey for a buffet dinner, hence- no kiddies running around with forks in their hands and noodles in their hair. Definite plus.

I've never had the Sunday brunch buffet, but I hear good things about it. The dinner buffet serves prime rib, king crab legs, lamb, hawaiian bbq, and a huge array of desserts- among other things. They even offer a smoothie stand- made to order. The pricetag of $50 a person is a bit steep, in my opinion. Especially when two 100-lb girls are eating. I mean, really, how much chocolate cake would we have to eat to amount up to half that bill?

I'd say this is a great Asian-owned buffet- perhaps the best in the LA area- but not entirely worth the pricetag. Los Angeles has way too many restaurants with much better food at a portion of the cost.

CIMA has the best asian Buffet all around. $50.00 per person + tax, sounds expensive but for what you are getting is well worth it!

Only open on Saturday now (used to be friday and saturday) recommend to make reservations as some weekend are really packed. for $50.00 + a person you get:

Fresh Dim Sum (seamed in front of you)
Fresh Oysters (a few different kind)
king crab legs (yummieeee)
Korean Bbq - cook to order
Assorted Chinese/Asian food selection (i.e. fried rice, chow mein, soups, beef, etc etc etc)
Shabu Shabu (made to order - you pick what you want and chef cooks it in front of you)
Lobster - Chinese style (very good!)
Sushi Bar (tons of diff kinds)
Smoothie Station - with fresh fruits
Fresh whole fruits
Whole coconut - Yes the real thing, they poke a straw in it too!
Delicious Assorted Dessert (very yummie)
and tons of other asian inspired food.

Overall, very good i take my time there. Would definitely recommend it and come back.

Saturday night buffet was ever so disappointing. Several friends had suggested this place for good buffet spot. The food selection was pitiful, we had to ask if they even have king crab legs available, apparently they did not bother refilling the ice shelf after it was practically empty. When they did put out the king crab, they were tasteless, as if frozen for way too long.  The clam smelled and looked pretty bad from just standing at the counter, sushi pieces looked as if they had been on display from 6 pm starting hour.

I don't know what prompted the restaurant to charge $50 per person for similar food items that can be found at a $25 buffet restaurant. Despite all, the "fresh squeezed" fruit drinks were good, dessert was not too shabby.

For the price they charge, I'd say head over to Hilton at Universal City, at the very least they serve shark fins and fresh seafood. Cima restaurant might have been great in the past, perhaps someone should really talk some sense into the management for changing to the worse.

Suggestion: Do not go if you expect a happy buffet gathering. (Cant speak for the regular dining dishes, but buffet blows.)

Definitely make reservations!  My friends and I come from all over LA and OC and the only reservation we could get was 7pm.  With LA traffic, how can anyone expect a party to make it on time?  There were 10 of us (5 couples) and we trickled in one by one.  The first couple showed up at 6:50, next at 7, next at 7:20, next at 7:35, and last around 7:45.  The host looked pretty displeased, but what could he do?  The first two couples that made it on time were eating already, so they couldn't ask us to leave.  I just thought I'd mention that in case you run into the same situation.  Why they don't take reservations for that size party after a certain time is beyond me.

As for the food, they have a really interesting setup.  Inside, they have a Chinese food buffet where you can get baked scallops, shark fin soup, etc.  Also, in that same line, you can get cuts of meat ,such as turkey and roasted pork.  On one of the outside patios, you can get meats cooked directly from the grill.  They have lamb chops, carne asada, and some other meats that I can't think of at the moment.  In that same area, you can get fruits,  fruit smoothies and boba milk tea drinks.  On the other end of the patio, you can get other chinese food selections.  There you can get lobster (all you can eat!) and various dim sum items.  In the same area, you can get your Japanese food items.  The chefs make various different rolls, and serve different types of sushi.

I'm still deciding whether or not the $50/plate price tag is worth it.  You get a lot of food for what you pay for but the quality, although really good, doesn't give me a fine-dining feel.  This is my third time coming here, so I guess I'm enjoying something.

been here a few times and lunch is always good here. for lunch, there is the option of buffet or entree. i've always ordered food so i don't know how good the buffet is. nor do i know what dinner is like. the open faced steak sandwich is really good.

located in a hotel on a hill, you don't feel like you're in the city of industry when you're here. try to sit outside so you can enjoy the scenery.

i prefer this place over red (downstairs) because it's more quiet and the food is better. red is more lively.

Came here for Sunday brunch.  Excellent food all around.  Even though it's $50 for brunch, you get tons of selection and quality items.  I enjoyed the thick french toast, pancakes, waffles, eggs benedict, and various desserts.  They also offer dim sum items, some sushi (although not the greatest), a taco table, and freshly made fruit smoothies.  If you like sitting outdoors, request patio seating.  Caveat:  There were lots of bees flying around outside and landing on people's food!  Service was speedy and friendly.

We came here yesterday for mother's day and we thought they were going to have everything they had the last time we were here, but sadly, they didn't.  They didn't have the shark's fin soup, the chopped up crab in sauce, the same sushi or the roasted pig that we had the last time we were here.  It was a little disappointing since we had all expected to see and eat the same things we had last time.  They had lobster bisque, which was just ok, in place of the shark's fin soup; they had really thin slices of sushi in place of the normal sushi they had last time; and there was nothing to replace the roasted pig or the chopped up crab in sauce (they did have the crab legs, which they had last time, but it's not the same).  Also, their Korean BBQ station was extremely slow in getting the meat out.  There was always a line of people waiting and when it came out, it was all gone in seconds.  They also ran out of bowls!!!  How can a buffet run out of bowls?  So there was no bowls to drink the soups or eat some of the desserts.  My sister and I resorted to using the coffee cups they had instead.  I'd have to admit that the service was pretty good despite all of that.  When someone requested a certain food that wasn't available, our waitress would come back with a plate of whatever they had asked for.  That normally doesn't happen at buffets.  But overall, the food was still pretty good!  All in all, my first experience here was a better experience than my most recent one.  I think they had to cut corners due to the bad economy, which is pretty sad because I had such high praise for this place!

I am reviewing this restaurant because I had a rehearsal diner here because I had my wedding at the Pacific Palms Hotel. I gave it 3 stars because the food was excellent and the service was excellent. However, I was unhappy at the menu lay out because we had already paid for the dinner and they took the time to write our names at the top of our menu but they also had the prices down in bold lettering which I thought was tacky and it made my in-laws and bridal party uncomfortable and it also made an awkward night for my party because everyone thought they had to pay for it and the restaurant is pricey. My party's background is Olive Garden and no higher than that so hopefully nobody is insulted Iwanted them to feel welcome and made it clear that it was paid for.
Please read my review for the hotel itself!

I ate here with my friend. The food was ok, they could have more selections.   The decoration and interior is nice.   That makes it two stars.  But what made my leave one star for worst experience ever was the fact that I was asked to leave when i was waiting for my friend outside the restaurant, in the lobby of the hotel.    Apparently you are welcome to eat here, but you are not welcomed to stay and chat.   I don't understand why the management of the hotel where this restaurant is located would discourage visitors to stay around.   We wanted to maybe get some coffee and some gifts. But the security guard said the lobby and the hallway are not open to people without a room key card.   If we just ate at the restaurant, we are not allowed to sit outside of it in the lobby.   I don't know of any hotel area that is not open to the public period.   The guard told us "we do not want people to hang out". I could not believe that! Is this how you attract business for the bar and the restaurant? Is this how you attract people to stay at the hotel?

To tell you the truth, the food here was not to die for. I only ate here because I had to watch my friend's daughter for several hours, and there's nothing else here to eat.   I thought this was a great place to hang out, but apparently it's not. They do not want you to hang out. They want you to leave after you give them  money.  It makes me feel that this place is greedy and selfish. Whatever happened to great service and great experience for the customer?   I don't think i would ever return here because I do not want to be harassed by the same security guard.

It's always fun to drink right out of a coconut.
Lobsters were cooked almost just right... still good though.  Chinese style.
Sushi was ok.  Just ask for the sashimi.
Dim sum was great... but a bit pricey to eat just the dim sum.  Egg custard was good.
Not too much of dessert selection but it was ok.
Lamb - I'm not too much a lamb fan, but I ALWAYS try a bit.  It wasn't bad here.  I ate a whole chop.
Mac n cheese was good.
Oysters were ok.  Not very plump but it was ok.

Selection and quality of food was good for what it was.  If they dropped the price to $40ish, I'd be more likely to go back again.

Went to Cima for the buffet dinner on Saturday. The restaurant has an interesting setup. There's indoor dining and some tables on an outdoor patio. The food selection is spread all over the dining areas.

As you enter the restaurant, there is a table with cakes, panna cotta, and miniature tarts on the left and sweet soups on the right. A few feet down is the tea station where they offer 5 or 6 different varieties of tea leaves you put into an individual-sized tea pot and take back to your table. Past that is a hot food area with shark fin soup, prime rib, fish, pork chops, fried rice, chow mein, and cold appetizers (jelly fish, for example).

All the way in the back where you are outside the main dining area is the bar where they make fruit smoothies and milk tea with boba. There is also a large tub of ice with opened oysters next to the bar. Next to that are grilled meats: sausage, lamb chops, and carne asada. The fruit is also in there somehwere.

Back to the front of the restaurant but in the hallway is the Japanese food station. They have a couple varieties of sushi (California, eel, spicy tuna, etc.), some sashimi, udon, and tempura. Past that station on the outside is the lobster and dim sum choices.

The waiters were pretty attentive and took away plates regularly. This was good because our table was kinda small for our party of 15. It could also be because they tacked on an automatic 21% tip to our bill.

As for the food, it wasn't the best I've ever had, but it wasn't too bad. Keeping in mind I'm not a huge seafood fan, I wasn't too impressed by the seafood. However, the prime rib was very tender and the smoothies were good. I liked the panna cotta and shark fin soup. The lobster seemed kinda tough and the dim sum didn't really appeal to me. I can get fresher at New Capitol.

Overall, Cima was a decent meal. But factoring in the price, I don't think it was worth it.

I came here for a wedding.  It is a nice place, located where the views are  pretty amazing.  It was a Chinese wedding so we had about 10 courses to enjoy.  The service was pleasent, food wasn't cold and they were quick to help.
Food was not very authentic Chinese.  The dishes were not bad but lacked that authentic flavor.  The bad thing is that they do not allow uneaten food to be brought home.  A lot of food was wasted and just thrown away.
The dinner celebration consisted of an open bar.  The bartender seemed tired and unenthusiastic.  Varity of alcoholic beverages lacked, but the basics were there.
The best thing I enjoyed was the view.

Lobster...lobster and more lobster
We smelled the Lobster from Azusa Avenue and turned up Industry Hills Parkway.  Approach the mall lobby of Cima's and R.S.V.P.'s are a must?
Throw out a few names and see what they do?  Oooh Ooooh as they mingle together...wondering what's up with us?
Flashed a little $$$ and all our R.S.V.P.'s were in order.  Hey buddy.....and.....then.......they got us a seat real quick...
Oooh gosh...the food was spread out all over the place...some inside...some outside...   That night..the lobster was being cooked outside...  They were cut in half with this pasty sauce on it...  Uuuh...they were alright..I..guess.   They certainly were different.  Had a few more and scraped the top off and it tasted a little better.  Pour that butter over it (big time).
The rest of the food was good...but I think the price was somewhat high for the quality of food that you get.   Service was average.
  There drinks were good

I don't know if i just hit a bad day or what, but both me and my date felt like the food served does not justify the $50-60 per person buffet price tag. It was okay borderline "good" for the variety, but it wasn't very impressive to me. Most people seem to be just excited for the lobster, which I did not have since I hate seafood.

The place itself was nice. Very clean and elegant.

This is a very nice restaurant located on top of the Industry Hills inside the Pacific Palms Hotel. Very nice venue and a nice hotel too. Nice driving grounds in the front of the hotel if you are into golf, and great hotel service as well.

The restaurant is very nice, it's a buffet of what they call an "eclectic menu featuring pacific cuisine". Whatever...I thought that overall the food was good, it was a combination of foods and deserts that you can choose from. For the most part, the chefs focused on a lot chinese food, the sharks fin soup is phenomonal and the shrimp cocktails were fantastic. That's just for starters, you have a pallet of chinese food and seafood that you can choose from, I personally found myself spending the most time at the seafood bar going back for oyster shooters and shrimp cocktails topping them off with a ginger and onion garnish with some lime.

In the Japanese section, you have sushi rolled right in front of your face and if you want, you can grab as many half lobsters as you can get tastefully decorated with the house sauce. I probably had 5 of them, heart attack, here I come.

In the Spanish section, you have a variety of foods from smoked sausage to carne asada steak, whatever floats your boat. They also have marinated lemon pepper chicken and braised lamb, if your up for it.

In the hawaiian section at the tiki hut, you will find a mixture of drinks that is freshly made right in front of your face. From fruit drinks to even BOBA tea, yup, that's right I said it, Boba tea.

All in all, very good experience and the service was excellent, the waitress was not only hot, but she was funny and entertained us all. If you want to get a little tipsy, there is bottle service, in which we accepted that challenge no questions asked. So, to wrap things up, bring your appetites and get ready to grub, although this grub does not come cheap. You are looking at $50 per person.

Oh, almost forgot, I didn't give them 5 stars because they were out of abalone.

Why are there so many Asian here?
I really wanted this to be a great experience. Seriously.
The service was great and unlike the restaurant down stairs, the atmosphere is a lot more relaxing and less tacky.
Unfortunately, there isn't anything good to say about the Father's Day East Meets West buffet. I hate the "East Meets West" theme. That usually translate to 'Asian for the Caucasion'. Which means bland, boring and below standard Asian cuisine.
The selections stem from seafood, dim sum, Korean bbq, sushi, fresh fruit and some other odd items here and there.
The dim sum and sushi was ok.
The king crab legs, es cargo,  oysters, scallops and shrimps were...more on the ugh side of eh.
The kalbi, bugolgi and  lamb was completely wrong.
And when attempting to seek out chocolaty decadence at the dessert bar, I was disappointed to find every item looking so worn out.
On the up sides.
The selections of melons were great as were the fruit smoothies.
The over all quality of the food was not worth the 50$ per person.
Too bad, so sad.

The lobster bisque soup was cold and never replaced.  The lamb was yough and chewy, and worst of all, the prime rib was cold even if it was cut under a heat lamp.  Oh wait- the pasta was raw inside, and very hard! No quality control in this place at all...it's not like a non-buffet where you can send it back and they'll ammend it.  This place is a buffet, so you'll never get a chance to have a good version of anything bad- you simply skip it and stay away from it- which is awful for $49/person!!!!

The only thing worth mentioning was the jumbo shrimp, but I could only eat so much...what a waste of money/

BUT, don't take my word for it!! Go waste your own cash and make me feel better!!!

I came to Cima for my cousin's graduation dinner. The prices are steep, around $50 per person, but it's money well-spent. I would much rather come here for dinner once than Todai twice. The buffet is huge, offering eclectic pan-Asian choices from dim sum to sushi. And when I say sushi, I'm talking uni, not maguro and salmon. From off the outdoor grill comes cooked to order lamb chops and steaks. The seafood section has the ubiquitous crab legs as well as oysters and other shelled fare. I love the fruit stand that offers exotic fruits from mangosteens to prickly pears to whole coconuts that they drill for you to drink out of. I would gladly come here again if only it were closer.

Our first time here was for father's day brunch.  We were pleasantly surprised with the array of food and quality.  We were seated outside and it made our experience as the view of the grounds were beautiful.

Pros:  Smoothies Station (mango, pineapple, strawberry, boba, and etc.)
Dim Sum and lobster
Large selection of desserts
Hot food trays: lamb & flank steak
Nice atmosphere

Cons: Price (only makes sense for special occasions, especially with a large family)

I love the buffet at Cima!  There are so many options and it's not your typical eggs Benedict, omelets, and waffles.   The buffet here includes a wide variety of cuisines: Chinese, Japanese, Mexican, and American.  The sushi is tasty and fresh and even includes uni.  There's a dim sum section outside and the best part is the lobster.  They havea great smoothie bar too where you can get all kinds of fruit drinks including ones with boba.  I would definitely recommend this place if you're looking for a buffet for a large party.  Bring your appetite because there are tons of delicious options.

This place is similar to the buffet restaurant in the Hilton near Universal Studios.  It's definitely a place that caters to asian taste buds.  So what separates this buffet from other cheaper buffets is the inclusion of shark fin soup, lobster, sea cucumbers, and these sea snail things.  What's really nice about this place is the smoothie bar so you can try out different drinks but of course that's a waste of stomach space.
The lobster was pretty good as it was cooked in an asian style with green onions.  The prime rib that day was not very good so go with a small piece and try out the lamb instead.  Hopefully you'll be able to catch them grilling the lamb so you can get yours cooked to your liking.
As far as upscale buffets goes, this place stands tall with the rest of them.  It's decor and view from the outside is pretty nice.  It's a push for me whether it was worth going here instead of watching the USC-Nebraska game. Of course not having to pay helped sway me.

Are you tired of the same ole' boring brunch, or do you just need a change up?  Try this out for sure.  You won't be disappointed.  With a wide variety of foods you can be sure to satisfy any craving.  And the variety is more than two items at each station.  You can devour eggs benedict, french toast, omlettes, sushi rolls, sashimi, sushi, BBQ lamb, carne asada, chicken, short ribs, lobster, dim sum varieties, etc., etc., etc.  The smoothie station goes well on a hot sunny Sunday.  The dessert station isn't so bad, it use to be gargantuan but they downsized it.  Still quite good.  After all that food do you really need dessert too you heffer?  Of course you do...    Give it a try.  It is about $35 a stomach, but well worth the stuffing.

We went to the Cima Saturday night buffet to celebrate a birthday.  My mom had previoiusly came here several times for work party, and recommended it because of the all you can eat lobsters, the shark-fin soup... and other chinese delicacies.

We didn't realize until the day of that we needed reservation, good thing we were able to get a 6 pm reservation outside on the balcony, which we didn't mind at all.  The food was very disappointing for us.  There was the lobster/dimsum station.  Lobster cut in halves, cooked and seasoned the Chinese way.  Dim sum was pretty standard, egg custard, sesame ball, more buns with meat...   Sushi station was below par.  3 choices of rolls with displays that don't look all that (eel roll, california roll... and I can't remember).  Sashimi display just doesn't look good or fresh at all, so we didn't even try.  The chinese buffet inside was so-so, the typical Chinese buffet with different types of fishes cooked different ways.  There're also king crab, shrimps... and whatnot.  Two choices on the soup: Lobster and chicken soup ( no shark-fin soup like my mom said).  BBQ station was pretty typical also.  Smoothie station was good, offers 3 types of smoothie along with boba milk tea.  Fruit station was a little disappointing, as my mom had said there were some exotic fruits, mangos, papaya... but we only saw cantalope, honeydew, watermelon, blue/rasberry, and pineapple.  The dessert station was just the typical western style dessert station that you would find at any buffet (ie. home-town buffet).  Different types of cakes and whatnot... although I enjoyed the two hot chinese style dessert soups.

Overall, we were very disappointed at the selections and the quality of food.  Totally not as we anticipated.  My husband did get quite a bit of the all you can eat lobsters... while I had the dim sums.  So I would say it's not really worth the price.  I think next time we'd go to the Universal Hilton buffet.
