My fiancée and I came here for an early valentines day dinner. I have to say, I was very impressed. The wait staff was very friendly and informative.
We started with the blue fin sashimi. It was delicious. The fish was very fresh and prepared perfectly. I only wish there had been more.
For my entrée I had the bone-in rib eye, rare. It was melt-in-your mouth tender and cooked perfectly. I also ordered a side of the lobster macaroni and cheese. It was just ok. The waiter said that it was their most popular side dish, but I didnt see the appeal.
My fiancée ordered the fillet mignon and lobster tail. She ordered it medium, so it wasnt the best Ive had, but still very good. just not bloody enough for me. The lobster tail was delicious.
My only complaint is the advertised view sucks at night. There is darkness. Only darkness. Not city in the distance. Only the ambient glow of the parking lot lights below. I guess you cant expect much more located in the middle of the desert. Im sure its a great place to watch the sunset from.
Overall, I had a great experience at Cielo. I think this may become our yearly Valentines day spot. -

Cielo is not just a fine dining experience. It is an experience that is different for each person who takes the time to enjoy the décor, ambiance, and food. For those who have never had the privilege of enjoy such a place, know that everything, even the smallest items are all cooked to order. Nothing is
Our party's 3 meal course started with the Magyu, thin cut slices of Kobe beef with parmesan, crappers, and an 8 year vinegarett. The beef was so tender that one was able to cut it with a fork. The Mac and cheese with lobster was creamy and delightful. Although each one of us ordered similar items, by altering our meals with simple items such as; blue cheese or caramel onions, similarity was anything but equivalent. The filets and porter house lambs were succulent, the mashed potatoes melted in your mouth, and the mushrooms; you have to try them for yourself.
For dessert, you definitely need to try Cielo's modern spin of Bread pudding. For those of you, who grew up with bread pudding, are in for a surprise. The warm pudding is light and not too sweet, drizzled with caramel and pecans. The hefty serving is also served with a vanilla gelato with black berries. It puts your grandmother's pudding to shame.
Overall, the experience was quite enchanting and yes the view is unique (again it's to one perspective). You can both look forward and up to the beautiful mountains or look down and see the freeway. The lighting is comfortable and relaxing. The service was great. -

Edited 1/8/2012 for a correction regarding friends' position.
Went up here for a friend's birthday with his friends. Said friend's friend also is a cook responsible for desserts and cold appetizers. Still had a great time regardless.
The restaurant is located in the top level of the casino. It's a good way to kill time looking from the outside, though the view is just of the freeway. Although I do question the nice view inside of the men's bathroom. Yes, I actually went inside just to confirm.
The decor was pretty spritzy, with chandeliers that change color and two big digital frames that showed off various places in Europe. Chairs were neatly lined up and our table presentation looked quite nice.
Our group started off with one of their specialties: the Chocolate Martini. The chocolate nor alcohol wasn't too overpowering.
Some people had the Belgian Endive salad, while others had the Seared American Wagyu Carpaccio. The salad was a mixture of sweet and crunchy from the lettuce, candied walnuts and bleu cheese, while the wagyu carpaccio tasted like a more savory version of salmon carpaccio, mixed with lemon capers and parmesan. The presentation was very nice, but the taste was average.
I got myself a 10oz filet medium rare with a side of lobster macaroni and cheese. The side dish was much better; the filet, while cooked right, was average. The accompanying sauce didn't complement the steak in any way. I loved the pasta side, as the cheese was toasted just right and the cheese just fully melted into the pasta, giving the dish a creamy finish. The person who worked here said that some people go here just to end up ordering the pasta.
The coworker took pride in the bread pudding, as the ingredients, he says, are made from scratch. He was right, it was the other really good dish I had here. The bread tasted firm (but not stale firm) and not too sweet, went well with the vanilla ice cream. The head chef actually went out and sang "Happy Birthday" to my friend, and that was a nice way to climax the evening.
Service was very accommodating, even to the point of preparing split checks for all the parties of the table, even though to the restaurant that wasn't the standard protocol. I really didn't like having to sign 3 separate bills, one for the food, one for my friend's portion of the meal and the last one for drinks. They should know how to combine everything into one bill!
One sentence summary: "Fancy for being fancy". I also realized that the words "fine dining" aren't a guarantee that I'll have a great time in any establishment. I'm glad my friends all had a good time, but I won't go out of my way to come back here. -

One of my friend was staying at Morongo for his BDay, so we had his BDay dinner here. Our party of 11 were seated at the upper dining area, which is nice because we were away from the rest of the restaurant. This restaurant is pretty nice looking. It is located on the top floor, which is the 27th floor. On the 26th floor, there is a lounge. One might think that the view would be nice up at the top, but it really is not. No real city view or anything nice. Just a parking structure and some mountains. Also you can't get a good view of this from the dining area. Strangely enough, the best view is from the men's restroom.
While waiting for all of our party to arrive, some of us waited down at the restaurant bar where I had a $5.50 Stella. This is a pretty decent price at a place like this. Our bartender was also a very super nice lady and made our wait very enjoyable. Complimentary bread was given to everyone at the bar. http://www.yelp.com/bi... This also was given to us when we sat down for dinner.
I wasn't very hungry, so I went with a 6oz Filet for $31. http://www.yelp.com/bi... Everything here is a la carte. I did not order soup or a salad or even a side because I wasn't in the mood to drop another $12-$14 for a salad and/or $9-$12 for a side. Others at the table paid a small fortune to have them added to their dinner.
I ordered my steak medium rare and they got that right. http://www.yelp.com/bi... Unfortunately, that was the only thing I liked about my steak. The texture was all off. It had a mushiness to it. I even gave a slice to someone to get a second opinion and she agreed with me. I also didn't like the sauce that was poured over the filet. It was way too sweet. Looking at the menu online now, I was suppose to be given a choice of toppings. My choices were suppose to be caramelized onions, pointe rey blue cheese, red wine sauce, au poivre, or bearnaise. Well, our waitress didn't ask us this for sure. I think even if I chose a different sauce, the mushy texture still would have made me dislike this steak.
My steak was not the only thing I wasn't a fan of. I tried my friend's short rib, which looked like chocolate cake from a distance. http://www.yelp.com/bi... For $38, this should have been much better. It was super dry and bland. I also tried the BDay Boy's American Wagyu New York for $66. This was a big disappointment too. It was better than my filet but still just decent tasting. It sure didn't taste like top quality beef. It tasted like a New York Strip one would buy at Ralphs Grocery Store. I also tried another friend's side of cream roasted sweet corn for $9. This side was dry and nowhere near sweet. Another friend got a $14 Belgium Endive Salad. http://www.yelp.com/bi... I was offered some but declined. He said it was good but too vinegary for him.
So it looks like I found several items here disappointing. For the money, this place is not worth it at all. They serve 3 Star food and if I factor in pricing, I would ding them 1 Star and give them an overall 2 Stars. The food isn't horrible. It is just okay. I would never pay this kind of money to eat just okay food again.
Even though most of us didn't like our meal, the BDay boy enjoyed his meal and that's what really mattered. He was so drunk, he would have enjoyed Sizzler. I would have liked to said that was good food wasted on a drunk. But it was expensive okay food wasted on a drunk. -

Love their ENTREE'S!
THEIR LOBSTER TAIL IS COOKED TO PERFECTION-
THEIR POTATOES ARE DELICIOUS, I FORGOT WHAT THAT POTATO WAS CALLED BUT I TOOK A PHOTO OF MY MEAL AND IT SQUARE SHAPED.
THE THING I DON'T LIKE IS THERE INCONSISTENT SERVICE.
THERE'S A WHITE LADY WHO IS EXTREMELY DULL, NEVER FRIENDLY, NEVER SMILES. THE KIND OF WAITRESS YOU WILL FIND AT A CARROW'S OR DENNY'S not a higher-end steak house like this.
we've had her as a waitress twice, and both times were exactly the same, she never refilled our empty drinks. we had to as the bus boy,, who is extremely helpful! MORE helpful than the actual servers.
my parents and i come here a few times a month and the service is never amazing. it is always just.. "Okay"
with the prices they charge here, great service is the least they can offer!!!
AND-THEIR lobster macaroni is dry and disgusting. DO not recommend that.
their wedge salad..mMmmm with balsamic dressing is THEEE BEST, i can have three of those!!!
portions are perfect. -

This was my second visit to Cielo. There is a separate elevator that takes you straight to the 27th floor. I loved the ambiance of the place because you do not feel like you are at the casino at all. It is quiet, and has beautiful decor inlcuding glass tile walls, and 3 gorgeous chandeliers that change colors.
My first visit was on a Friday evening, where they had their "Fantastic Friday special." The wine was $5, and they had a pretty decent selection at that price. The bartender served a VERY generous amount. The special also came with a free appetizer which was smoked salmon. I ordered the mushroom ravioli which was delicious, and the mahi mahi which was good as well.
My second visit was on a Sunday, and we made it in time for the "early bird special" which ended at 6:30pm. The special includes a three course meal, soup or salad, a choice of 3 entrees, and a dessert for the price of $35 per person. The wine was $10 a glass. The salad was AMAZING but the cream of brocolli soup lacked flavor and was not good. The Filet Mignon with Shrimp, mashed potatoes and asparagus was DELICIOUS! I ordered mine medium and it was cooked to perfection. The dessert was a chocolate mousse with raspberries which was great.
I will definitely eat here every time I come to Morongo. -

My gf and I came here to have a late bday dinner. Prices are mid to highish for a steakhouse at an indian casino... I think the 6oz filet mignon was like $31, $10oz filet mignon was $37, the crab mac n cheese was $12 and the mashed potatoes were $9.
The view when there is still light is pretty nice, but at night it really is mostly just black and is not noteworthy at all.
I am giving 4 stars instead of 3 because all of the food listed above was actually tasty, and the service was way above expectations (i.e. they actually recommended I send back a slightly overcooked steak, gave my gf a free bday dessert, and they also moved us up to a better view without hassle). -

My bf and I decided to drive from LA to cabazon for a special and romantic dinner at cielo restaurant for vslentine's day and that's exactly what we got. We had reservations and waited 10 min by the bar and enjoyed the best margarita ever. Our waiter was excellent giving us privacy but not forgetting about us. I felt very important and special. The lighting changed colors very slowly, we were at the top of the casino and I literally felt like I was on a cloud.
The food was perfect we had calamari, deeelish. I had oven roasted chicken juicy, he had the filet mignon, everything was just perfect and worth the drive, I would go there again anytime!! -

One of the best meals I have ever had. Way up on the 27th floor of Morongo with an excellent view. Had a $35 special that was filling and delicious. Stella on tap is always a plus too. Waiter was super friendly.

My wife and I went here to celebrate our anniversary and it was great. We started with the crab cake and it was delicious! The highlight of my meal was a 10oz filet and it was cooked perfectly. The service was attentive, but not from our initial server, which was somewhat strange, but I can't complain about it. The mashed potatoes were a bit greasy, but were not all bad. I wish I would have had a different side dish though. We had chocolate cake for dessert which was the second highlight of the meal. The views were mainly of the tops of the mountains, but were still nice during sunset. We definitely go again.

We were here in April for my usual R & R after tax season. I decided to have us check out Cielo as I've heard the food is incredible. We took a separate elevator from the Casino floor to the 26the or 27th floor. We walked down the long corridor lined with artwork and found the hostess. We had a reservation (I specifically asked for a booth) but had to wait a few minutes. We sat at the bar and had a martini each which was yummy.
I assumed the restaurant would be much bigger. There is a 2nd floor to Cielo which seemed like were reserved for larger parties as I saw 2 different bachelorettes walking down the stairs.
The food was really good. We shared the Cesar salad (plenty to share) and I had the NY Strip while BF had the rib eye. We ordered the lobster mac & cheese (OMFG!!) and the asparagus. Everything was delicious. The steaks were cooked perfectly and the lobster mac & cheese was out of this world!
We will definitely be returning.
TIP: If you dine here you can get wristbands on the way out for the 360 lounge 1 floor above/below (don't remember) for free entry. Also, your waitress may also be your cocktail waitress at the lounge! Too funny.Listed in: Steak-tastic Eateries

Very delicious! We had the oysters and artichokes to go with our drinks and it was pretty flavorful. The cheese on the oysters was a little odd...perhaps trying to mask some sort of flavor, but with the rest of the ingredients it was a good nibble.
Our bartender, Gustavo, was fun to chat with and he can definitely make a good drink. Also, the view has to be amazing when the sun is up or during sunset, but we made our way up there when it was pitch black outside...I guess we'll have to try again another night! -

Located in the Morongo Casino at one of the top floors - WOW great view! Very nice looking restaurant. Had a few cocktails at the bar before dinner, friendly bartender, good martini's.
Dinner time- Hostess= no personality, Seating= upper level of restaurant, fantastic views, dirty windows (work in progress), Waitress= nice, friendly- a little slow in service, forgot my wife's salad, blamed the salad prep guy.... isn't your job to make sure we get everything in a timely manner? Normally if something is forgetten shouldn't it be free of charge? NOT! Had to ask for bread as well. I had the ribeye, wife had a clam dish, I can't remember what kind, it was last week and I had a few drinks, she'll probably kill me for forgetting. shhhhhhhhh Food arrives- my ribeye was outstanding! The clam dish was very good as also. I'd rate it more stars but the service was mediocre for the prices & what type of restaurant they want to emulate to be. Probably won't come back. -

I was walking around the Casino looking for a place to eat and this was the only place that seemed appetizing. The hostess at the buffet was nice enough to let us walk around to see the variety of food that they had and it didn't look very good.
So we went up the elevator to the top floor. We were dress totally down, in jeans and a sweater, but was treated very courteously. I like their bread basket. Totally yum.
Just like everyone else, we got the lobster mac and cheese, calamari, and my friend and I shared a New York Steak.
The mac and cheese was totally salty, but it was ok. The calamari was delicious. The steak was... forgettable. Should have gotten the filet mignon instead. Oh wells.
Our server Juan was super nice and friendly, gave us honest opinions on food choices and wine. Very nice all in all. Just kinda pricey. $90 including tip for two and we shared entrees. -

Good food, artfully prepared, and served with care. The first bite makes you smile, and the entire dinner satisfies. Whether or not you like the view depends on where you are seated in the room, and doesn't matter after dark. I'm not sure if the taste of the food merits the prices (a bit bland but salty), but the service and presentation do.

This restaurant is perhaps the best thing that Morongo Casino has going for itself. I was actually quite impressed. Located on the 27th floor, this restaurant has a nice view of the surrounding mountains. The decor is artistic, yet elegant. The chandeliers change colors as well as the slide show of paintings.
When it came to the food, I was very satisfied with my meal. I ordered a filet. It was juicy and tender. I would say cooked just right for my taste. I had garlic potatoes as my side dish and these were ok. Personally the steak was enough for me. We also ordered a bottle of Shiraz. Very good selection.
I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you're going to Morongo. -

You have to go to a seperate elevator to get to this restaurant, on the 24th floor at Morongo Casino.
When you get up, you walk down a long hallway adorned with artwork and the host greets you. You see a restaurant with excellent mood lighting and crystal chandeliers that change from hot pink, to red, to blue, to white, to....
We ordered the meat and cheese "presentation" as they call it, and it was excellent. It came with Swiss, Chedder and Gorgonzola cheeses, with walnuts, fresh beef jerky and little pickles/capers/olive type things that I'd never tried before. You get a portion of smoked ham and salami. All fresh and melts in your mouth!
We also got a bread basket that comes with the meal, with parmesean crackers, sourdough and olive bread. It comes with regular butter, and wasn't mind blowing, but excellent.
The wines come by the glass or by the bottle. We love Cabernet so we ordered the most expensive glass at $17.00. It was worth it! It came in a cute little decantur, and went down smoothly.
Both me and my guest ordered the center cut filet w/ gorgonzola cheese stuff portabello mushrooms, with a side of crisp green beans and "tater tots". The entrees are a la carte so order a side like we did if your hungry.
My guest also ordered a side lobster tail. WOW! Bursting out of its shell, my guest said it was excellent!
The meat was cooked perfectly, inside and out. It melted in our mouths. The mushroom w/ the cheese was good, but strong. They used really good cheese.
All in all, this is a great place to go to entertain friends in style. Its not a quiet place, the restaurant is in a casino so the crowds that showed up were rowdy. Great atmosphere and food, I'd eat here again... go shopping at the Cabazon outlets before you come to the casino! -

My husband and I, parents to 2 young boys, rarely have the opportunity to spend an evening away. When we do, we want it to be awesome!
After reading about Cielo in Inland Empire Magazine we decided that we had to give it a try. I was also excited about the view from the top floor.
Cielo delievered everything I was hoping for! Starting with the Chefs Wedge Salad, which was crisp and delicious to the meat which was amazing. My filet mignon was tender, juicy and totally delicious and my husband loved what he ordered ( I can't remember what it was). For sides we had Roasted Garlic Mashed Potatoes and Sauteed Fresh Spinach. Both were heavenly!
Furthermore, the service was attentive and friendly and the atmosphere was enjoyable.
My only complaint is the price of the wine. I had 2 glasses of Beringer White Zin, super cheap at the grocery store, and they were $10 each! Downstairs in the lounge they were less than half of that. Next time I'll wait until after dinner to have my wine. -

My wife and I had dinner at this truly spectacular restaurant in February.
Let me start by saying that the view alone was breath taking. Cielo sits on the top floor of the Morongo resort. It provides a panoramic view of the surrounding mountains. The meal and the wait staff was exceptional. They were always there when you needed them and always willing to bend over backwards to make the visit as pleasant as possible. The meal was exceptional and the wine list was very extensive.
I give this place 5 stars all the way around! -

5 stars for ambiance; 5 stars for service; 5 stars for the raspberry, lemon drop martini, 5 stars for the calamari and sauce; 3 stars for the $40 fillet Mignon and $8 lobster mac and cheese!! Great place to end a day of shopping and splurging at the outlet. Loved everything about this place, except for my expensive meal which was very unsatisfactory! Would've sent it back but I was already buzzed and happy after the yummy raspberry, lemon-drop! I requested my fillet Mignon be medium well; it was well done, dry and crispy! What the heck??? The lobster mac smelled very fishy, so bad I couldn't even eat it! Would've been more satisfied with my homemade $3 Velveeta mac and cheese in a box!

Is it weird that one of the best meals I have had in a long time was at an Indian Casino? But truly I was very impressed by Cielo. Every time my family comes down from the Bay Area to visit me we go to Cabazon...no we are not addicted to gambling, but to outlet shopping. And since we usually make a day out of it, we are there till they close and are hungry and cranky. We have tried drive back to the OC (even more cranky) and other places in the Casino (terrible food), but after reading the Yelp reviews I forced my family here. Yelp did not let me down!
We took the elevator up to the restaurant and it feels like you stepped out into an entirely different casino. Cielo is really beautiful inside. Nothing like the downstairs at all. Well except for the horrible chandeliers that flash colors. Those were still pretty tacky. The service was very attentive and helpful. The food was amazing.
*Bread - a mix of flat bread and other breads. The best part was the dip. A dish of tangy marinara with a dollop of goat and cream cheese in the middle. WTF this was AMAZING. I am going to try to recreate this.
*Kobe beef carpaccio - very generous serving of beef with little condiments on the side. I have never had such large caper-berries before and they were delicious.
*lobster bisque - huge portion and it was very rich and creamy
*scallops - they were huge and served with a carrot sauce and mashed potatoes. they were perfectly cooked
*pork chop - my mom had this and it was huge. she said it was delicious and couldn't finish it. my dog loved the leftovers.
*my dad and bother both had steaks of some sort. they were both cooked perfectly and eaten in minutes.
*lobster mac and cheese - very salty and very cheesy. really yummy.
*creamed spinnach - this was essentailly sauteed spinach with a cream sauce. my mom loved it.
*bread pudding - this was a amzing. it one of the best i have ever had. it tasted like instead of bread they used cinnamon buns.
*raspberry chocolate bomb - my brother ate all of this and hit us when we tried to get a spoon. so i think he enjoyed it.
How would have known that something so good was at Morongo? Not I. But my family has a new place to eat when we visit the outlets and I can't wait to go back (and its not just for the clothes anymore). -

Went here last Friday night for dinner after gambling at Morongo and didn't really have any expectations at all.
But wow, this place went beyond my expectations. First, it's on the top floor so the views are great. However, if you're sitting on the lower level, the seats/booth are high enough that you do not see the nice view outside. But the restaurant itself is very well done and I don't have any other complaints other than that.
A lof of little touches that go a long way. Bread was warmed and the butter was soft for easy spreading. Why don't all places do this? We had the bone-in ribeye (excellent and cooked perfectly), shrimp cocktail (extremely good), roasted corn (delicious), exotic muchrooms (too salty), and banana's foster (very very good) for dessert.
Our waitress was great, came to check on us at all the right times, and in general provided the kind of service you would expect at a high end restaurant.
I highly recommend this place, and I've been to a fair share of steakhouses. I'm glad Morongo decided to invest properly in this place, as I now have another reason to visit Morongo/Cabazon in the future which is probably what their management was intending to do when they opened this restaurant. -

Love this place! Granted at night there really isn't a view but the food is fantastic and the staff is wonderful. They have always accommodated us when we have not had reservations. We never feel rushed or unattended to whether we are having appetizers in the bar or dinner in the restaurant. One of our favorites place to go when my husband and I go out on a date night. We always end up trying our luck out on the casino floor which adds a little excitement, more fun then just going out to dinner!

You cant call yourself a steak house simply because you serve a piece of meat cooked on a grill.
Meat was awful. I had a ribeye, my wife had a NY strip. Both were very very tough and chewy even though we had different cuts of meat. I think they must have just picked up the meat from a local super market - not aged like other real steak houses.
ON TOP OF THAT, THEIR PRICES IS COMPARABLE TO THE BETTER STEAK HOUSES, LIKE SULLIVANS, FLEMMINGS, MORTONS, RUTH'S CHRIS.
This is place is an embarassment to all other steak houses that serve real steak. -

It stands on it's own two feet. If you are staying at Morongo and want a good meal then go on up. I wouldn't drive out just to eat here. I had the sea bass and it was excellent.
