Sadly, I honestly grew up in this joint.  Every time I drive by it I think of all the nights my sister and I spent eating fish and chips there ( that were so tasty and authentic) while waiting for something good to happen in our lives, like move away from the 'burbs.

But this is the pub for those of you who want something close to a British experience- well, as close as you can get to one in East Cobb!  I've been to an English pub and it is actually rather near to my experience!

So now that the shopping center has been renovated it is one of the last businesses left standing now that Target is about to take over a good deal of what once stood on the corner of Johnson's Ferry and Roswell Road.

By the way- this is a pre-Nikki being veg review- I wasn't always this awesome!  Hahaha....they serve salads and veggie quesadillas, but I would not recommend this joint for veggie folks!  I only go there for booze these days when I am forced to babysit my parent's house a mile away!

I have been trying to find a bar in this area that is not awful.  So I decided to visit Churchill's last Friday.  Unfortunately on this particular night Churchills could be summed up with one word: Lame.  I would have given it two stars, but Nikki's review is keeping hope alive for me that this place has the potential to be cool every now and then.

My roommates and I walked in to this place expecting it to be crowded, loud and hopefully fun.  Instead, we entered a boring bar with about 12 people hanging out all giving us that look and probably saying to themselves: "who are these out of towners?  Their probably some of them know it all college kids."

There was also nothing but awful country music being played the entire time we were there, which was almost as equally depressing as the small crowd of regulars at the bar.

I was pretty disappointed to say the least.  I have driven by this place a couple of times and from the outside it always seemed look like it had the promise of a decent time.  Maybe the depressing bar scene is one of the reasons the place has tinted windows...okay, I know it is to keep the sunlight out, but it does kind of kill two birds with one stone.

I might give this place another try in the future because of Nikki's review.  But for now, I will just stick to places that don't look like a bar fight waiting to happen on the inside.
