I have never even seen or heard of this place till 2 of my friends stumbled upon it on their drunken stroll.

We walk in and its totally chill, not many people.

Lets get some cigars, shall we?
I  am not a cigar smoker or aficionado but I do like them occasionally.  I prefer flavored ones and when I told the person my preference, he picked out the perfect one. I don't know the name of it but it smelled awesome. Mangoes and vanilla.. mmmMmMmm.. tasted real good.

The guy there was super cool and he had a really neat Peanuts comic strip tattoo on his forearm.  Not sure what the significance of it was but it  original and new(cool) to me.
He also paired my cigar with a nice J. Lohr cabernet.

I was attempting to learn how to blow smoke rings all night but with the humidifiers, they suck up the smoke quick.  You still walk out stink like an ashtray though. Yuck!

Overall, a very good place to chill, have a glass a wine and enjoy a stogie.

This is the worst of the cigar bars IMHO. That doesn't mean it is bad with consideration granted that there are only three left.

The place is somewhat bland. It does not have the feel of a cigar bar to me. The drinks are average. Cigars are average. Take the walk down Hanover for a step up (really down I guess [*rimshot!*]).

Unfortunately Boston is letting the thought police take control and we are losing our cigar bars - so support them as much as you can while you can.

Churchill's is a great place.  It's very easy going and comfortable.  You can bring your own or buy one from their humidor.  As a matter of etiquette I would recommend that you buy one of theirs if you do bring one of yours.

I know cigar bars are limited by the city's liquor/tobacco revenue ratio requirments, but I do wish they had a full liquor license here.

As a preface, I smoke cigars once and a while, I am not some cigar expert and a couple friends smoke more cigars than I can count all the time.

This place is an awesome cigar bar.  Absolutely great.  I didn't know about this place until a friend of mine recommended it as I normally would go to the North End for a cigar.  It is a bit more reasonable as far as price of the cigars and the drinks.  The staff was really nice and knew their cigars, and continued to check on us for drinks, but not in a bad way.  Very laid back feel with nice relaxing chairs and couches and a good ventilation system.

Look forward to going back.

Im a big fan.

As far as cigar smoking with a roof over your head goes.. churchills is my #1 choice. I really like the fact that theres super comfy couches and arm chairs and a well stocked bar. No tvs in the main smoking area which i really like and the big glass street level windows make for great people watching : )
compared to the other options for cigar bars in the city, you will not find one that is more enjoyable to relax in.

as an important sidenote: the douchbagery, pretentiousness and elitism is kept to a minimum here- by both client and staff. this is a huge factor and makes this place all the better.

I love this place. When my friend Jess and I go here we smoke and drink wine at the bar. We are usually the only girls (or people our age for that matter) in there during the week. Cant say much for the weekend, have never been in then. Nice quiet atmosphere, good music. Love it

Man musk. Scotch. The Perfume of a well crafted cigar wafting away from the scattered patrons lounging in their supple leather chairs... I had never been into Churchill's until last night as I thought it would be impossible for a decent bar, much less cigar bar, to be located in such close proximity to Faneuil Hall, in a Hotel, and 'gasssssp' the Hard Rock Cafe!?

A few things to note: the service and staff here make this place what it is.  It really feels like a high end establishment because of the attentive waitstaff and bartenders who are MORE than happy to freshen up your drink, bring you another chair, and recommend a good smoke from the well stocked humidor.  Secondly, the room itself is a lot nicer than I had thought it would be based on my quick glances through the glass windows walking by over the past few years.  Speaking of which, this fish tank type atmosphere (which I usually detest) lends it self to some interesting people watching, which not so oddly goes really well with a tumbler of scotch and a cohiba.

Be advised that this is NOT someplace to take the non-smoke friendly love interest or acquaintance, and also note that you have NO hope of getting any phone numbers after partaking in a cocktail or two at Churchill's. You will leave smelling like an old man's sock stuffed with cigarette butts.

Unless you know some chicks that are into that sorta thing.... But I don't.

The selection of smokes are good, prices fair, the service very good and the views of the women walking by can distract and interrupt your conversation.

A neighborhood of eclectic patrons "regulars" from that share the common interest of a fine cigars and discussions that involve the usual stuff ; sports, politics; and the sometimes question as to who has the best Pizza in town. Tourists who happen in are welcomed and frequently caught up in the banter.

The only hiccup is that because it's a cigar bar  every time you visit one clothing worn need to be Martinized?? Really the industry needs to invent a smoke eaters that works.

Great place for a smoke.  Not like the Sigari in the N. End where it is crowded, uncomfortable and yuppie hangout.  This is a place to relax and have great conversations with friend and clients.

Been here many times and never disappoint.  The staff is always helpful, never overbearing and let's you do what you're in there for: relax and enjoy a cigar.  Cigar selection can be a little bigger but what they carry is sufficient.

The other place that is similar is 2 Guys Smoke Shop in Salem, NH if you're up north.

A cigar bar where I don't feel like I'm surrounded by die-hard cigar nuts.  Awesome.  I've been here twice, the same two helpful guys behind the bar served people booze and took them into the humidor.  They were both very newbie-friendly, hooking me and my girlfriend up with very mild stogies.  Lots of comfortable seating in the back if you're into that lounging sort of thing.

Churchill's is awesome-- unpretentious, but a very classy place to have a cigar.  They don't have a full bar; only wine and beers, but you can bring your own cigars, or buy from their fairly priced humidor.  This is a good place for groups, and is much more spacious than Cigar Masters in the Back Bay.

One of the four places in Boston that I know of that still allow smoking. Sigari's, Tangierino's, (sp?) and Cigar Masters being the other two. How can I say a bad word about any of the four? This is probably the second cheapest of the two. Good selection of cigars, and reasonable prices. The beer and wine list is moderate but covers all the ground I asked for. Plenty of TV's so you don't miss the game, but they are also not in focal points so you can completely ignore them if you wish. I also believe they have Wi-Fi but am not sure, check it out, if you're one of the people who love a good cigar inside, but WILL NOT let anyone smoke in your house, this is for you!

This is hands-down the best cigar bar in Boston.  It's not stuffy nor pretentious and you can almost always get a great seat.  Even though it's in the heart of Fanueil hall, it's still filled with locals and you rarely hear an "R" being pronounced.  The humidor has a great selection of cigars but I prefer smoking from my private locker.  The staff is extremetly knowledgeable and makes great suggestions.  They offer some of the most attentive service anywhere.   Another great thing is that they validate parking at the Parcel 7 lot.  It's $1/hr up to 3 hours!  If you're looking to relax, smoke a cigar and not be surrounded by a lot of cigar snobs, this is the place for you.

One of the last bastions of smoking.  Of course, I don't smoke, so for me, it's not all that much of an attraction.  But if you've just gotta get your fume on, you should check this place out.  It's better, at least, than some of the bars that vie for your attention in Faneuil Hall.  A little more expensive, but isn't the smoky ambiance worth it?  Per'aps.

Very relaxing place to go to after work.  The staff is very friendly and has a lot of knowledge of cigars to help the armature cigar lover.  The service is generally exceptional because the small crowds and lounge setup make it very easy to be served.  Beers are reasonably priced for a place so close to the financial district.   Be warned, if you plan on going out anywhere after, bring some cologne because you will stink of smoke.  There is nowhere to put your jacket in winter time so that will stink as well.  I don't know if they serve food here either but who would want to eat with all that smoke anyway.  When you get hungry, I would recommend walking next door to Red Sky lounge.

By far my favorite place to relax on a Sunday afternoon. Churchill's is a spacious cigar bar with a vast array of leather couches and armchairs for watching the game or group hangout. It is completely open to non-connossiuer cigar lovers and the staff is helpful to newcomers. They have a walk in humidor with reasonably priced stogies. They serve wine and beer, no scotch or bourbon though. The selection is small but not bad for beer. A couple stouts and some run of the mill brews. Wine I don't know about. Great place for getting your smoke on in a well ventilated atmosphere that is relatively smoke free.
