How could I do anything but have great things to say about this place?  Larry and I were married at Churchill Manor almost 19 years ago.

We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Churchill Manor.  From the very pleasant owners to the exceptionally beautiful atmosphere of each of the manor's rooms, nicely furnished with antiques.  Our room was clean, beautiful and comfortable.

After our ceremony in front of the fireplace, we went to dinner aboard the Wine Train with our guests.  When we returned to Churchill Manor, everyone was welcoming and ready to help us settle in and enjoy our evening.

Breakfast the next morning was just filling enough to send us on our way feeling rested and looking forward to what lay ahead ...

Blake was born less than 4 months later.

I want to start off by saying this place is awesome!

I stayed here with my wife for our anniversary and we honestly didn't know what to expect since this was our first time staying in a bed and breakfast. But from the minute we arrived we knew we made the right choice.

The house is beautiful, very clean, and has that old charm that will add a little romance to your trip. The front lawn and fountain make for some great photos. I couldn't really ask for more in the guest rooms. They were very clean, nicely furnished with cool antiques, and had such a great "home-like" feel to them. We stayed in the "Tulocay" room and I highly suggest it for everyone! It has a fireplace (that definitely came in handy because it got pretty cold at night) and an old-school two-person bath tub. The staff was great and EXTREMELY HELPFUL. They seemed to go out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and enjoying ourselves - not only in their residence but also throughout Napa. They would ask us what our plans were for the day and offer plenty of feed-back and advice on other options that might be fun based on our interests. We ended up going with their suggestions for most of our trip and it definitely paid off!

Now on to the food (since that can make or break a B&B)..... It was really good! There was always tasty fresh fruit, bagels, etc... to get you started and then they offer two main dish choices fresh from the kitchen. For example one day our choice was: Strawberry pancakes or a Breakfast Quiche. Of course my wife and I ordered both so we could taste everything! So yeah, in terms of food we were definitely pleased! It was a nice touch being able to eat breakfast out on the veranda - this place just had romance factor completely covered.

One side note: The only amenity they were missing that some people may get hung up on was a television. But 1) you're in Napa so you don't need to watch too much TV  2) there's one TV in one of the common rooms on the first floor  3) they have wireless access. so if you bring your laptop like we did, you can still get your late-night movie fix by streaming Netflix or Hulu and cozying up in bed.

So with that said, throw in some other cool amenities like Tandem Bikes and a croquet set and this place had all the old charm, comfort, good food, cleanliness, and romantic feel that we were looking for. Our trip to Napa was outstanding and I owe it to Churchill Manor.

Fantastic bed and breakfast. Beautiful building, very clean, good service (family run and very friendly), beautiful big tub in our room, 2 person shower, comfy sheets... and on top of all of that, excellent breakfast. They give you a few choices.. I ordered the french toast with orange zest and real maple syrup. :)

I would definitely recommend this place!

Our experience was a bit different than most of the other reviewers, as we had our wedding and reception at Churchill Manor a few years ago. We looked into many other options for the ceremony including several of the wineries in the area. We chose Churchill not only because of the building and grounds, but also for the graciousness and flexibility of the hosts. It was a positive experience from beginning to end.

The owners know weddings, holding one most every weekend in the summer. It is not a place for large events, as I believe the max is around 150 guests. They have planning down to a science, as they recommend the right amount of wine and food, flowers, know the local bakers, etc. They have such great relations with the neighbors that they ask them to keep the area quite during the ceremony. No one even drove down the street.

We were married in front of the building (the area in the photo on Yelp)and the reception was held in the garden area on the side.  It was June, so the rose gardens were in full bloom.  The manor provides all the tables and chairs, linens, dishes, bartender, wait staff - everything you need except for the alcohol and cake.  The chef (owner) is an excellent cook and will work with you to adjust the menu to your tastes.

Some of the challenges are with the local zoning codes: there is no hard alcohol allowed, no bands, and the DJ must be inside (which is a little tight for 130 people), and the music must end by 10pm. With the wedding at 3, 10 wasn't really a problem. The guests staying overnight at the Inn (you rent the whole place and the distribute rooms as you wish) can naturally stay up in the living room as long as they desire.

I was going to give it a four for the "challenges" but my wife told me that if I gave our wedding anything less than a five, then I will have to sleep on the couch for a month.....therefore, five stars...

This was a wonderful place to stay.  It's beautiful and the staff was so courteous.  The breakfast was delicious.  I celebrated a wonderful anniversary at Churchhill.

So this was my second bed and breakfast experience and I would have to say Churchill Manor was a nice choice.  I went with Churchill Manor because of all the good reviews. Although it wasn't my first choice in my list of B&B, Churchill was not a disappointment.

Bed/Building
The manor was a lot bigger than I thought it would be. Living and dining rooms had high ceilings and a antique feeling.  Everything was neat and welcoming.  The room I stayed in was the Carneros. What surprised me a bit was that the room was very modern looking compared to the rest of the house. I felt very comfortable and it didn't feel like I was in a old building at all (1889).  Carneros is located right next to the dining room but it was quite.  (Triple insulated so I'm told.)  The website's picture does not do this place justice.  I thought the room was a bit on the cold side when we first checked in, but the fireplace helped a bit.

Breakfast/Food
The brownies and cookies that were left out in the afternoon was yummy. I didn't enjoy the wine and cheese in the evening very much.  Breakfast seemed like a four course meal.  There was yogurt, granola, bagels, muffins, a fruit plate and omelet. Everything tasted great.

Service
The housekeeper, Susan was very nice and helpful. We sat down with her to discuss possible places to eat for lunch and she was very nice to all the guests.

Although we didn't get to enjoy the grounds and outside dining because of the rain, it was a great B&B and well worth my bucks.

We were here just this past week and it was a fantastic experience.  We arrived during the wine and cheese hour, where a few guests were enjoying the lovely evening out on the spacious wrap around porch.

The house itself is really amazing - over 100 years old, and the owners have taken great care to restore it in corresponding fashion.  High ceilings and big rooms make it spacious. The porch was probably my favorite part - it was so comfortable and inviting, like sitting on a friend's porch.

The grounds are also something to be mentioned - what sets this B&B apart is the fact that it a.) has actual grounds, b.) is set back from the street. They have a spacious front lawn with path and fountain, and the side lawn is framed by a beautiful overhanging white flowered vine. It really makes you feel like you're tucked back in a private estate.

Our room was Spring Mountain, third floor. The bathroom was great, and had a nice large shower and lovely bath (bubble bath included).  The bed was fantastically comfortable too. The room was well sized for 2 people and didn't feel stuffy or overly antiqued.

The staff was also very nice - accommodated your every need and were always ready with a great suggestion of what to do or where to eat.  We got to sit down with the owners and their love and dedication to their B&B really shown through.

Last but not least, the breakfast. Amazing! Always a multiple course breakfast, served at your leisure. If you just want coffee and yogurt, it's already set out, but if you're in the mood for a tasty morning treat, stay for the hot breakfast selections. The flavors are well thought out and portions are perfect - you don't feel overly stuffed. I recommend the sweet red pepper sauce omelet if they have it - just delicious! And the breakfast room is beautiful and welcoming. I wish my grandmother had a room like that at her house!

Overall, a great place to stay. It is within walking distance to downtown Napa, and on a quiet residential street, so if you want to stroll around the neighborhood, there is a lot of Victorian architecture to check out.

Lets start with the high points: good location close to downtown Napa, beautiful mansion originally built in the 1800s and redone in a southern plantation style.  We wanted so badly to love this place, but there were some things significant things pulling it down from even the 4 star status.  The room was nice, but nothing special.  The breakfast was good, but not memorable.  The help was kind and welcoming, but a bit underwhelming.  We had a good time at Churchill, but we will almost surely not go back because there are way too many absolutely amazing B&Bs in the Napa area.

Maybe its the old antique feeling that made me love this place.  Sure its kinda creepy at times with the creeking wooden stairs, the unlabeled VHS tapes in the TV room or its just plain huge & quiet.  Its a bit pricey to stay here, but its well worth it.  They serve fresh cookies in the afternoon, wine & gourmet cheese in the early evening.  The breakfast is also gourmet.  On top of the complimentary breakfast, they also served fruits soaked in wine & another hot breakfast entree.  I had the french toast which was very tasty.  Its some special bread with apples & raisins.  It almost tasted like apple pie!

The innkeepers are very hospitable & helpful.  All her suggestions were terrific!  They also provide tandem bikes, which was the highlight of the trip!

My boyfriend made reservations here for our 4 year anniversary and we couldn't have been more pleased.  The building/grounds are beautiful and well kept up, the owners and staff are extremely helpful and friendly, the afternoon cookies and evening wine pourings are a fantastic touch, and the breakfasts were great!

The only complaint I had was that the shower was not so fantastic, but the fact that they had a porch-cat to greet us in the mornings more than made up for that.  :)

Exceptional. Truly the peak of the Napa experience. Beautifully appointed rooms, amazing grounds, truly a treat.

The breakfast is exquisite. Different everyday, and inventive everytime.

Wine and cheese every evening is so wonderful. Sitting on the porch with a slight breeze makes it all the more amazing.

Do not miss a chance to stay here. 100% recommendation.

After searching on the Internet for weeks for a place to stay in Napa, I finally settled on Churchill Manor.  It was definitely worth all the searching because this place is everything a bed and breakfast should be - clean, comfortable, and a great morning meal (usually a choice of pancakes/french toast or an egg dish).

The mansion is about a 5 minute walk from downtown Napa and is accessible to the wineries in both Napa and Sonoma.

As for the place, it was very cozy complete with a tv room (no tv in the bedrooms), an outdoor patio to relax, fresh cookies every afternoon, and wine and cheese.  The staff was pleasant and will give you suggestions for dinner, wineries, and other things to do in the area.

Much better than a hotel.  I look forward to coming back here again.

Simply Amazing!!!!!!

Everything from the room, breakfast, manor, grounds and staff was simply - amazing.

I had my wedding elopement here in August of 2007.  For a very reasonable price I might ad.  They helped with everything from finding a restaurant for the reception,  seating, minister, cake, champagne, placement, music and keeping me happy!

Our room was the largest on the property.  Complete with a huge victorian bed, so comfy, soft and nice.  With a vanity to do my hair before the wedding, a tub to soak out my nerves, a two person shower, a bureau, couch for lounging, large closet for all the clothes - there was nothing I was without.

The manor itself is beautiful.  The antiques are simply to die for!!!  From a piano to play, couches, to lounge, a tv, games, tandum bikes to borrow, croquet to play - just on the manor!  The house left me breathless and feeling like quite the princess for the weekend.

The grounds are beautifully manicured.  Roses, trees, bushes, large hedges to surround the manor and a very large veranda to sit and enjoy the warm morning breeze, the sun of the summer afternoon or the still of the evening.  I couldn't have imagined a more perfect location for a small intimate wedding.

The food though!  First there is a cheese and wine spread in the afternoons.  And such an ample amount!  Lots of cheese, crackers, tomatos and so much wine!  All tasty and great!

Then there is breakfast - WOW!  Everything was so fresh, tasted delightful and in the perfect portions.  It is like being in your own little bistro for breakfast!  It changes everyday and every time - simply amazing.

The staff was so sweet, attentive and willing to help in any way to help our stay.  I couldn't  imagine a more kind staff to help on my special day, it almost brings tears to my eyes.

It was, simply amazing!

Stayed here on my first ever trip to Napa. Gorgeous victorian mansion settled in a quiet neighborhood apart from downtown. It's secluded with a beautiful veranda surrounding lush gardens. The service is unbelievable, very accomodating. Room was just as pictured on the website and very roomy. Steve and I loved the ambiance of the whole place and relaxed upon arrival with in-room massages...HEAVEN! The evening wine and cheese and morning breakfast was great. I will absolutely be coming back!
