Chung photographed our family portrait. I have to admit when my mother nagged me to find a photographer-- I was fearful. WHY? Because I relived the nightmares of those fake studio poses and weird awkward backgrounds of my high school past. Fast forward to a crisp afternoon in Burlingame and our fabulous photographer Chung. She was amazing, she scouted out the best backgrounds and made my parents look like teenages in love. IT was cute (if I wasn't their child). All in all, she made us look like us-- but much much better.

The best parts about Chung are as followed:
1) she does not make you do awkward poses
2) she is patient-- that is no small feat with a stubborn dog as one of the subjects
3) she pre planned all the locations which made it easier for us.
4) she was so prompt with the pictures. I got the proofs within the week!
5) her fees are beyond reasonable
6) she lessen my fears about pictures after 18 years of traumatizing josten portraits.

I absolutely recommend Chung to take your photographs for any occasion.  I selected her to photograph our wedding and every interaction, from the first email to the event, was handled with quiet professionalism and sincere care.

I love how she took our photos.  Every shot is different and truly candid.  Her perspective is part voyeur, part participant, but each photo captures the moment perfectly.  She never intrudes in any moment, she just snaps, and bam!  A perfect picture!

Everything exceeded our expectations.

Check out her website: http://www.cnportraits... for portraits of people and animals. Or http://www.chungnguyen... for wedding/engagement photos.

Once you see samples of her work - there's no doubt that she's got talent. Through her personally designed storyboards and slideshows, Chung skillfully captures truly intimate moments and presents them in a warm, welcoming way. You know, so you feel intimate with the "subjects" but not creepily so. See for yourself - she's got a slideshow on her frontpage at http://www.chungnguyen....

If samples of her work are not enough to indicate what a session with Chung is like, let me share my experience. You'd hardly notice Chung at work - the only way you'd know it is by the click-click of her camera - because she really encourages you to act naturally. And when she comes back with her storyboard/slideshow, you can feel her personal touch. Like she's known her "subject" forever.

How does Chung do it?! I think her artful but natural work stems from her great listening skills - I'd pay for a photo session with Chung over a session with a psychotherapist ANY DAY! Think about it...Chung listens and doesn't feel the need to make comments to validate her role/existence AND you get great photos afterwards.

Cha-ching!

I'm thinking that maybe I'll contact Chung for holiday photos this year - especially since she's got a great package deal available.

Chung photographed our wedding this past April and did a magnificent job.  We were really looking for someone who wouldn't take a bunch of posed photos of people, but would really capture the emotion and the atmosphere of the night, and Chung did this beyond our wildest expectations.  We couldn't decide what photos to print for ourselves or for our announcements, there were so many wonderful ones.  Her fees include an optional engagement portrait session which she allowed us to do after the wedding since it was only a couple weeks beforehand that we booked her (we planned the wedding in 7 weeks) and those photos were amazing as well.  She has a fantastic eye and a great personality and wonderful perks!  I couldn't recommend her more, she's amazing!!!
