A bit pricey for the quality of the meat served. Spotty service. Excellent location if you get a prized outside table. The salad bar is typical and included with the entrees.
Now I might be biased because I have a few friends that work there, but i can say its a great place. The prime rib is awesome, and the service is good. Yes, its dim. Yes the menu is quaint with the hand written menu on a pot that is done by manager Jetson. The views from the outside tables are awesome, overlooking Waikiki beach. A fairly cheap place to go and play tourist.
I dont go to Waikiki often, but I'd go to Chuck's more often if I could.
My husband and I ate dinner here on a Sunday night. Not very crowded- no reservations and only a 10 minute wait for a table outside. We sat at our table for a good 15 minutes before any waiter came to greet us or even bring us water. Also, it's very dark, so you can barely see your food or the menu.
My husband and I ate the same meal, with the exception of our salad dressings from the salad bar, with him having Italian dressing and Ranch for myself. For dessert, we ordered mud pie. The food was good.
Unfortunately, I was the unlucky one who got food poisoning from here. My husband was fine- I assume it was bad Ranch salad dressing. That night and the next day was NOT fun for me.
Food poisoning can happen anywhere. So can bad service. But unfortunately it doesn't look like we'll be returning here.
this place is not for those with bad eyes..dinner is pretty dark and dim.
it can get very busy at night and they don't take reservations, so make sure your whole party is there.
the menu is on a brown jug, not your ordinary menu. the menu is not that extensive and is pretty much steaks and a couple seafood options. there is a salad bar which is just what it suggests, salad and vegetables and fruit.
i had the seafood platter which consists of scallops, breaded shrimp, crab legs and mahi mahi. scallops were good, i would have preferred the shrimp grilled, the mahi mahi seemed a bit on the raw side and the crab legs were good except it was so dimly lit in there it was a little hard trying to find and retrieve the crab meat. if your an alcoholic or a raging lush you must try bob's ice tea. when asked the difference between the tropical tea and bob's tea i was told that bob's was made with top shelf liquor and much stronger. i said okay to that, hell it's 50 cents more than the other one. they were not kidding when they said it was strong. i have quite the capacity for my booze, but this was indeed STRONG but worth a try if you're gutsy.
prices are quite standard for steak and seafood and especially on waikiki this is one of the more affordable options. the restaurant also offers stunning beach views and indoor and outdoor seating.

Very Very busy at nights.
It's your typical american steak house . with the meat and potatoes or surf and turf dishes. ranging from $23-$35.
If you prefer to sit on the outside balcony area, you can overlook the Waikiki beach. They also got the fire torches set up at night so the ambience and view is really nice.
unlimited salad bar is included in your meal. They also have a large wine selections to choose from if you like.
