This spot sits in a weird part of Auburn surrounded by strip malls and looks like a broken old house. The place draws locals from around the area and what it amounts to is just a chain restaurant feel with terrible food and is so dimly lit, you can barely see. The interior of this dive is badly decorated and you may bump into the strange locals that love this restaurant. The menu is a collection of horrible selections and when it really gets down to it, is a meat and potatos place with bad service. The food tastes worse than a TV dinner and is some of the most disgusting dishes I have ever tasted. There is nothing good about this dump and the place should be closed down. Iwould say if you are going to go here, drive further down the street to the 99 restaurant where at least you will know what you are getting. As for this place, you aren't missing much!

I had a friend who used to work there and he said that they would always drop food in the kitchen by accident and just put it back on the plate to be served to customers.

Met a friend from Springfield, halfway , and he told me about chucks.
Said you could get a good steak at a fair price.  I was not disappointed.  For 26.00 i got a 10 oz fillet mignon , which came with a top of the line salad and soup bar.  The fillet was as good as some of the best steak houses I've been to Morton's, Shula's, Abe and Louie's.  The atmosphere is very relaxed, more of a family style restaurant then a top steak house.   Menu was unique it was on a large wine bottle.  We didn't partake in appetizers or dessert on my friends recommendation that i would be more then satisfied after hitting the salad bar.  I will definably repeat.  With drinks and tip we were out of there for 80.  vs if we had gone to the chop house on shrewsbury st., we would be in for double that.   I will definitely repeat when I'm in the area.  As a side note the whole time i thought i had seen the place before , and was told they used to have a restaurant in the Hartford civic center, way back when the whalers were still in town.
