Not a bad place. The course isn't exactly well taken care of (and the greens are pretty shabby) but for a large public course, it's not bad at all.

It is very flat and easy, and I give it an extra star for being a nice place for beginners. Fairways are wide which makes it much less frustrating. Pro Shop guys are pretty nice.

The driving range is like the Korean demilitarized zone. It's rotting, molding and god knows what else. I really don't care too much because it just makes it that much easier to keep my eye on the damn ball when hitting it instead of looking at the no-mans-land ahead.

If I'm golfing in East Bay, I'm gonna prefer to play here or Lake Chabot.

    $50 to ride.   winner!

Very flat and easy course.  Greens are well maintained.

Good drinking course, you can get trashed and still shoot decent.

First 2 holes have a huge backup, but then it opens up after that.

Hey, I like this place. Played the north course, the Earl Fry, on Saturday, 4/14/2012. Course soggy from recent rains, but fun to play, and well-maintained. Nice driving range, great snack bar (excellent Polish dogs), and friendly staff in the pro shop. Joe Bob says, "Check it out."

Good times with sidekicks at the driving range here.......$9 x 2 kept us occupied, even in the rain (well, we went under covered stalls) and cold.  Nothin' fancy, but we definitely had fun.

I love how close this course is to my place. I'm much happier now that they got new carts. I like the twighlight prices and the relaxed atmosphere out there.

This is becoming my home course.

-1 star because the range is carpet. Lame.

    Range review:

My lack of Yelp reviews can be attributed to my recent fascination with Golf. The Alameda Chuck Corica Golf complex is the dealer to my golf fix. I spend a good five hours a weeks at their range. Their range is in need of some serious love and although it's not the nicest in the Bay proximity wins me over.

The large range easily houses all the golfers seeking to improve their game. I have never had to wait for a stall nor have I seen anyone wait for one. Large portions of the stalls provide shade but shadeless areas are also available. The large range is covered in artificial grass, now light brown thanks to an unforgiving sun. Large folds of the grass lump over each other and it's easy to tell major fixes are needed.

A large bucket runs $9 and if you are a frequent flyer you might want to look into the discount key card. Chuck Corica Golf Complex is a popular location with many visitors. I can't figure out why more services (food & drinks) aren't provided.

This is my go-to driving range spot every time the need to release angst/stress arises. It's been ages since I've been... so yesterday a friend and I decided to just let it go... literally!

Large bucket of balls were $9 so we ended up getting 4 buckets for the both us (yah, we swung until our arms couldn't do it anymore...)

There's never a wait for a range stall and each stalls are wide enough to be able to have a private conversation in between each swing... that was much needed when you're playing catch up with each other.

We'll probably start hitting some balls more often now... since the friend is back in town and I haven't been at the shooting range in ages. Oh and I suck at it! Gotta find my "infamous swing" says the friend.

3.5 stars for Early Fry (north) and 2.5 for Dick Clark! (south).  Classic muni golf where for the price you really can't complain.  It's about $25 during the week for non-resident to walk.  Flat and walkable.  Management seems to do a pretty good job for how congested the courses get.

The north track gets lots of use and can be a challenge, especially if the wind comes up in the afternoon.  Play it from the blacks, only 6,350 yards but holes 5 and 14 become beasts as you have to carry lots of H20. North course has the bends and doglegs and wrinkles that make golf fun.

Greens on each course are slightly slow but decent.

The south course plays quicker, longer and less interesting.  It's wind-swept and grassy with several gravel wash areas.  The back nine on the south side has too many similar holes. The south course is a great place during the week to work on your game.

There generally is not much trouble off the Ts on either side.

It's fine, dependable golf if not spectacular.  Restaurant and bar seem pretty good and range is huge.

There are a lot of people who start playing golf because of this course.  It's not that challenging of a course and it's fairly priced.  Yet, it delivers obstacles that sometimes make the game frustratingly loved.  Water comes to play a lot here and lost balls...a lot of lost balls.  Maybe that's why I like this place?  I find a lot of golf balls...

My Buddy Justin and I just played a round at the Jack Clark course yesterday, and considering I had quit golf for over a year, I did quite well.  Excessive drinking and fatigue took its toll on me though and I soon faded into nothingness.  So much for breaking 90!

You can get great deals on-line for this course with cart.  Check out http://golfnow.com.  My buddy and I paid only $25/pp with cart...a great deal!  Alameda Chuck Corica has two 18-hole courses.  The Earl Fry course is a bit more challenging and should not be played by novices in my opinion.  I always see a lot of people getting frustrated with this course and I wonder why they just didn't play the simpler Jack Clark course instead.

Anyhow, at least they're playing.  If you can, I hope you play this course because they need your help.  They need golfers.  I often hear about the city closing it down.  I hope it will never be!  If that ever happens a lot of people would lose a valuable tool in developing necessary skills in golf and in life.

Flat course, with wide, forgiving fairways (driver on every par 4/5 no problem), and the greens are in decent to fairly good condition, although they play on the slow side.

The Earl Fry north course is prettier, has more water in play, and is generally more crowded. The Jack Clark south is pretty straight-forward and is more of an exposed, links-style layout. The last few years the greens on both courses have gotten much better and are slowish but true.

On the negative side, both courses have become much more crowded over the last couple of years. I'm not sure if this is due to high unemployment, more retirees, or just more people in general playing golf.  Gone are the days of cruising around the south course in 3 hours - even on a Tuesday in January when it is 40F out, I was waiting 5 minutes on every shot. There are a lot of older, slow foursomes that take a long time on the greens.

Great course if you don't mind playing in a light rain, however. Drains pretty well, not a lot of mud, and of course fewer golfers.

Earl Fry is a fun track.  Don't bother with Jack Clark.

The course is fairly well run.

Unfortunately, the people that run the website and tee time reservation system aren't Einsteins.  Every day, they let people reserve tee times prior to sunrise.  And then they don't force anyone to actually tee off at their reserved time.

So what happens?  You basically never start off at your actual tee time.  Tee times at this place are suggestions, not actual time slots.

It's not unusual to have a 730 am tee time but actually not tee off until after 8 because they let everyone tee off whenever they want.

You would think that they would figure this out, but the folks in the pro shop look at you like you're an idiot if you think there's something wrong with this system.

And they allow FIVEsomes on weekends.

Granted I only played at the 9-hole course, but the rest of the holes looked nice.

I came here twice with a litigator I was dating at the time, who also owned a boat and docked in Alameda, so it was no surprise that sooner or later, our golf-loving similarities would get us here.  Since it was already the afternoon, we went straight to the driving range to warm up.  Nice range, wide spaces and the covered overhang actually made a huge difference in my swing.  It was a sweltering day.

Once finished, we started on the 9-holes.  I usually play at Tilden, so I was a bit disappointed in the upkeep of these grounds.  Greens were slow because the grass was not cut short enough.......had to use my pitching wedge most of the time.  Fairways are long and easy.  In fact, this is the easiest course I've played and I'm not that good either.  Short game is good practice here......I learned how to putt better.

We tied at the end, so for dinner, he started a bet saying that I owed him dinner if he got the putt in with one try.  Which he did.

If it were not for his annoying taunting and strange childlike sarcasm during tee-times, we might have lasted longer than 3 months.  But at least we got to play quite often and I added about 25 yards to my drive, so there was the rewards in that relationship.  And in learning to argue proactively too.

Dear Nasty, Big Ass, Sloshy Patch of Something That Smelled Like Sh*t on the Junior 9,

You're f*cking hella gross and do not belong on the course. And you got on my pants which then briefly touched my ankle. I am shuddering at the memory right now and scrubbed until my skin turned red when I got home to take a shower.

Also, RIP huge ass rat that died in the middle of the fairway on the 4th hole and sat there for *over* a week before being removed.

I remember it as clear as day: "Tita Kristi the rat is STILL here, look! Ewww!!!"

You are also pretty f*cking gross and I'm glad you're gone.

    Yours Truly,
    K.

    -----------------

Dear Hole # I-don't-know with the water on Jack Clark,

You hella suck. I dislike you a lot. And I want my bright pink ball back. There was also a dead duck drifting aimlessly around the pond as I was trying to concentrate on getting my ball over. Granted my dad - avid, crazed golfer - said that he's never seen something like this here in the 10 years that he's played Jack Clark, I think, I *THINK*, you were sending me some kind of sign/metaphor regarding my golfing abilities.

So to avenge your pessimism, I'll definitely be back. You're cheap, though kinda sketch, and that's just my style. We're a match made in heaven.

Besides, no one else will let me play in my sweats. [WTF Monarch Bay, I gotta save my collared shirts and khaki's for things like, I dunno, *real* special occasions] I also like you because people don't look at me funny when I unconsciously wear things that match my pink golf bag and pink ball.

So we'll meet again, I'm sure. Like probably this weekend. And if you could keep the rates relatively low like you do now, less than $35 with a cart, that'd be cool too. Then maybe I can save money to buy myself some fancy golf clothes so that I can actually be *allowed* to play elsewhere.

This sport is such a hater, damn!

    Yours,
    K.

Somehow the staff here is able to maintain the professionalism of a private course without being too snooty about golf with a capital G. It runs exactly as it was intended to run.

Both courses have serious character and the Chuck Corica staff will treat you like family.  Where on earth can you find that kind of atmosphere on a golf course?  Sure.  For a few months out of the year, it's not in the tip-toppest condition that you could expect from, say, a private course, but for a municipal course it's actually fine (and the greens fees are way below what you would normally pay if you live locally).

Chuck Corica has North and South 18 hole courses that are covered with luscious trees and spotted with fountains, lakes, and hazards, both beautiful AND brutal.

Plain and simple.  The course is well done and great people run this place, so, it feels great to golf here!

Just played the 9-hole executive course today. It was cheap, pretty fun but it had one big problem. Stinky nastiness. I'm not sure whether it was the rain or irrigation by reclaimed water but there was an un-mapped water feature of mostly mud on the fourth hole.

Getting balls stuck in the muddy nastiness was gross. Worse when you trip and fall. Other than that the course was pretty fun. I'll come back in the middle of summer.

    Chuck Corica Golf Complex

I don't know how I never knew there were two courses in Alameda, but I didn't.  So the other day when I was on GolfNow I saw the Chuck Corica Golf Complex.  I then went to the map and looked up the course.  I figured it was some short 9 hole course.  I was very wrong, it was actually two 18 hole courses, a nine hole par 3 course and a full driving range.

Earl Fry Course, $54 on GolfNow for a Saturday at 12:18, 5 hours 15 minutes to play.

Here is the map of the Earl Fry Course:  http://www.coursecam.c...

Of the two courses, this is the preferred course to play.  And now that I have played both, I agree that it is better.  However it took way too long to play it.  I actually played quite well but the pace of play is a real downer.   There is water on 13 of the holes as well.

Jack Clark Course, $37 on GolfNow for a Saturday at 12:15, 3 hours 35 minutes to play.  Are you kidding me, a round under 4 hours on a public course!

Here is the map of the Jack Clark Course:  http://www.coursecam.c...

The Jack Clark course has much less water and trouble than the Earl Fry course.  The layout just isn't quite as good as the Earl Fry course either.  But based on pace of play, its more enjoyable.

Both courses are fairly similar in that they are flat.  There is zero elevation on either course.   They both are lined with old growth trees, mostly eucalyptus trees.

The grass is Bermuda, which is a grass that grows laterally.  Some might refer to it as crab grass.  Bermuda grass is nice to look at and grows nicely but brings an added difficulty for golf.  Regular grass makes nice rectangular divots where Bermuda divots seem to tear randomly.  The key is the pick the ball of the grass with as little contact with the ground as possible.  There is also an added level of difficulty when chipping on Bermuda as well.

As for the greens, I'd say they were decent.   I would give them a higher review but there were a lot of unrepaired ball marks.  But besides this they rolled nicely and don't break too much.

I am giving both courses a good review for the following reasons.  First, the value is good and the courses are also in good condition.  Second, of all the courses in the area these are the best value/condition.  Monarch Bay is no were near as nice and lack trees and the same goes for Metropolitan.  Plus both Monarch and Metropolitan are at least $20 more to play on average.  It has a similar feel / layout to Skywest in Hayward, but both courses are better.  So if you are playing in the Oakland/Alameda area, choose one of the Chuck Corica courses over the others.

Both the 18 hole course and the 9 hole executive course are very nice, at least for a golfing rookie like me.  There was a wait to tee off at every hole, but it was tolerable most of the time.

My major complaint is with the people that work here.  Since I drove with two friends in a mini-cooper, we were unable to bring more than one set of clubs, but since this was a rather complete set, we didn't expect this to be a problem.

However, it was a problem, as an employee told us.  "1 set per player. This is golf," he said, VERY rudely.  I had gathered that we were playing golf, judging by my surroundings, but I would have appreciated some respect.

I took it on the chin, and rented a set of clubs, as did my other friend who was lacking.  We got what looked like the same set, but I quickly realized that it was not.  His was complete with a driver, several woods and hybrids, low irons, high irons, both wedges and a putter.  Mine was incomplete, lacking a driver, any irons below a 6 and a pitching wedge.  WTF?  After paying for the clubs, I would expect a complete set.  My god, "This is golf!"  Right?

Finally, after a fun day out on the golf course, I went back to the driving range to retrieve my drivers license (which I had to give them to rent the clubs).  It took I'd say between 20 minutes and a half hour for the employee to get it.  He took two trips between the driving range and the pro shop and was gone 10-15 minutes each time.  He offered some free balls as consolation, but I really didn't have time.  At least he understood something that his coworker didn't: treat customers with respect...after all, "this is golf"

Chuck.  That's what me and my golf buddies call it.

There are actually 3 courses at Chuck, two18 holes and one 9er.  There is a range, 2 putting greens, pro shop (pretty modest, nothing special) and Legend's and Hero's bar and grill serves some good eats.  I haven't played the 9 hole, but both 18's are fun and easy on the ego.  The courses are well kept and green fees are very reasonable, even for non-residents.  I prefer to play the Earl Frye, North course, but the South course is a fun alternative.  It's also pretty easy to get there from SF.

    To do it right: $15

I've been going here on a regular basis now, but I have only played 18 holes once.  The course was OK, and very crowded.  On that particular day, our threesome was also treated very rudely by one of the instructors (Dino).  It's a long story, and he might have been having a bad day--or he might just be a dick, I don't know.

Aside from that, this is a great place to waste a Sunday.  They have an executive par-3 course, which you can play for $9.  $7 if you're a resident.  Furthermore, while I would not condone this, you could theoretically play the course twice without any of the staff noticing if you go from hole 9 back to hole 2.  Of course, you'd have to live with the ethical ramifications for the rest of your life, so of course you wouldn't really do this.  Right?

The driving range is pretty nice.  it's a big, single level setup with nice mats, clearly denoted distances and mock greens.  However, if power hitters get to the far end of the range where it curves, they'll probably knock a few over onto the executive course (so heads up if you're playing there).

Summary: A pretty good place to golf if there's a bit of a time constraint.  Dino can be an ass.

    A-Okay.

I've played at Chuck Corica a few times, covering both Earl Fry and Jack Clark courses.  As Shirley N. pointed out in her review, the carts are lacking juice lately... I had to abandon mine on the 8th hole when I was out last time.

On a weekday morning when there is nobody out, it can be a nice relaxing experience at relatively decent price point.  However, on weekends and other busy times, the courses get terribly, and I mean terribly, slow.  Christ people, it's not the Masters.

Of the two courses, I like the Earl Fry more because it's more interesting.  Water is in play in a lot of the holes, and the course itself is more challenging.  Jack Clark, on the other hand, has almost no water in play, and it's much easier (although slightly longer).

I am willing to hit this place up on a weekday, but never again on a weekend.

I've been to two other courses, Skywest in Hayward and Lincoln Park in San Francisco.  Skywest I didn't like at all.  Lincoln Park is cool because it's so scenic, but very hilly.  Chuck is nice. Bunkers, water.  Weather's always good here.  Plenty of restrooms (unlike Lincoln).  Reasonable priced.

Note: There's the south course and the north course.  I like the north one better.  The south seems less well maintained, and a lot more geese shit.

This review is for the driving range. Neat driving range with good mats, shade on some of the tees, clear long distance, no freeways in sight, and marked flags.

It loses stars for not having a real grass driving range like Coyote Creek does. Price is comparable to other driving ranges in the area. Was disappointed that the range was not flat and was actually a little sloped. In addition, plenty of 100 yard markers but did not see any in the 200+ range.

It is the only golf course in Alameda. Rates are attractive for residents so have to try an entire round sometime. Will have to write a separate review for that.

My husband and I played today on the 18 hole Earl Fry side which is more popular than the Jack Clark side according to our friends whom we played with.

Holes are mostly par 4's and water on some of them.  Of course I managed to lose my ball wherever water happened to be.  Some fairways did have a bunch of daisies so lost cause if you hit your ball into the rough.

The one minus - my husband and our friend's electric golf cart ran out of juice not once but twice while playing.  They managed to get a third one near the clubhouse.  No apology from anyone.  You would think the carts would be charged and ready like ready golf.  We noticed other people had the same problem because someone kept coming with a replacement cart.  What seems to be the problem?

    A decent course.
    Nothing spectacular.
Nice guys at the pro shop.
A good course for a novice such as I.
    I finally broke a 100. (95. +24 over par. It was a par 71 course.)
It's a huge improvement for me since I started this sport 4 years ago.
I didn't expect much from the place. And was super happy with what they had to offer.
    Really fun.
It's a place where everyone can go to.
As far as "keeping up" the course, you all know that places such as that can, and will charge about $20+ more for that kind of fees. This isn't one of those place. Thank god.
Sometimes I just want to play without having to deal with the formalities.

The Chuck has two courses, the Earl Frye, and the Jack Clark, both are great muni courses.

Fun golf, usually great weather (but still fun to play in a light rain), and really decent prices.

One little annoyance: there is always a huge bottleneck after the first hole on the Jack Clark Course.  It usually evens out after a few holes, though.

Good spot, and well worth the while for golfers in San Francisco looking to escape the fog.

There are two 18-hole courses out here, both are decent.  It's often breezy/windy in Alameda though, so be prepared.  It also tends to back up, so bring your patience along with your gear.

There is also a decent Par3 9-hole course too for beginners or those who just want to practice their short game... it's $7 to play this short course, and $2 more if you want a pulling cart so you don't have to lug your clubs.

    Nice conditions for a muni.

Easy to get to from the City (as long as there isn't an A's/Raiders game).

Update:  after playing here a few more times, it's dropped down significantly in the list of places around here I'll play.  Why?  While the weather is usually pretty good (especially compared to the city), and the course conditions are still nice for a muni, rounds here just take too damn long.  The last time, it was a 6 hour round!  It seems like they have a fair number of 5-some's too, which doesn't help, and may actually be the main cause of it.  At that length of time, you could drive further, play on a nicer course, pay the same amount of money, and get back home in the same amount of time, if not sooner (if you're in SF).  Knocking off 1 star.

The Chuck Corica gc is really convenient for me - it's 5 minutes from my house.  They have a great driving range and putting green and 3 distinct courses.  The Jack Clark course is on the south side of the complex, nearest to the Oakland Airport.  Small planes often fly o'erhead and giant commercial jets can be seen taking off in the near distance.  Of the two 18 hole courses, the Jack Clark is the less refined, worse kept.  During the summer, the fairways and greens can get quite hard and dry.  The lower quality of this course means that it gets less busy, so it's often easy to secure a last minute tee time on this course and it's there's very little waiting around.

The Earl Fry course is the 18 hole north course, and it's far superior, in my opinion.  The course is better-kept and the holes are more interesting.  Water and sand come into play often.  There are some beautiful old eucalyptus and live oak trees around the course.  This course is far busier than the Clark course.

Finally, there is the 9 hole par 3 course, which is really a joke.  There are no set tee boxes and the holes are all straight, level, and uninteresting.  The grass is dead and dry during the summer.  I play this course whenever I don't feel up to playing 18 holes, as it's really easy to get out and play without a tee time, but I always vow I'll never do it again (but for some reason I do).

Okay this is the first time that I am actually on a golf course...like on the fairway...because the teddybear is the only golfer I know...like the one I really am close to, to really spend time to watch play.

Ive always told myself that I will try to learn to play this sport when I turn 40 only because I think that's the time that I have money to be able to afford the clubs and I guess the membership.

After picking me up from work last friday, TB mentioned that he may take me with him when he plays golf in the morning...but then I have to pray real hard cause the weather forecast say it may rain. But God has favored us that day and although it was foggy it never rained one drop. So its all good.

While TB was signing up, I had the chance to watch the golfers putt...and mind you I thought hitting a target with my tennis raquet is tough. It just got easire after Ive watched this golfers kept trying and trying to sink that small ball into that small hole...hmmm.

TB had a foursome, which is all good, he had a funny way of id-ing his opponents to on his scorecard. He got us a golf cart (yes that was my first too), but next time I told him that we will just walk and Ill be his caddy.

He was trying his new clubs, he said he didnt paly good because he was trying to impress me and of course I was...not that I am not already but I became his no. 1 fan....my bf is no longer the teddybear but becomes the GRIZZLYBEAR on the fairway.

It was a good 4 hours, Im just happy I was able to see him play, be with him and enjoy my saturday altogether.

First and foremost there are definitely better courses in the bay area. However I live in Alameda so this place is ultra easy for me to get a nice cheap twilight round in.

Pace of play on the weekend at the Chuck can be beyond painful so be advised. Nothing spectacular but I think it is a decent mature layout , I am referring to the North course only as I basically avoid playing the south course.

There have been alot of improvements to the facility over the last year, some new mats and balls at the range, there has also been more love put into course maintenance. They did however wax the grass chipping area which sucks, it was not a great setup but at least it was grass like.

I think Jennifer H. was referring to the Geese not ducks as being aggressive. In my experience they are not an issue outside of the plethora of crap left behind...apparently geese cannot crap when they fly so keep that in mind standing over your ball.

It is nice my home town has a muni and there are some cool folks that work there which is always a bonus but there are definitely some folks that are just straight grumpy. I believe it to be a big issue from a customer service perspective and really wish the city would address it.

Love golfing here, it's really convenient as it's just 5 minutes or less from my house.  The Earl Fry course is their "main" course really, as it is kept in the best condition of the 2 others, the Jack Clark and the par 3 course.  The par 3 course isn't really cared for and mainly contains dead grass.  The other 2 courses are in great condition.  Sometimes there are huge flocks of geese and they poop all over the course, which can be a nuisance if you let it get to you.

The Earl Fry course is 18 holes, and is kept in the best condition.  This course contains more hazards than the other courses, which makes it the most interesting and challenging.  The holes are much more interesting than the other holes on the other courses.  The Earl Fry is always more busy than the two others, which makes perfect sense.

The Jack Clark is also 18 holes, and is kept in moderate condition.  Sometimes the grass dies in the summer and the soil gets hard, which can make it frustrating to hit your ball solidly.  Hazards are rare on this course.  This course gets less busy than the Earl Fry course, which means you can quickly drive to the course and start playing.

Lastly, the par 3 course, which contains 9 holes.  I take this course as a joke really.  The grass is kept in horrible condition and the tee boxes are on artificial turf, the same as the driving range.  Putting is nearly impossible to get right.  On some holes, the green is the same grass as the fairway, and not clear.  During the summer, when I'm tired, but I want to get some golf in, I usually play this.  I always do terribly because of the horrible conditions of it but I keep coming back, I have no clue as to why, but I do.  The last time I played here, they were doing some renovations I think, so I'm hoping for some decent conditions of the grass next time.

    Jack Clark course:
The lesser played of Alameda's two 18 hole courses.  Did not seem as well maintained as the Earl Fry course.  Lots of little white flowers that made finding balls on the fairway more difficult than it should have been (several lost balls that I swear were right down the middle).  So basically... another typical, mostly flat course but fun.

Since it's not as popular/crowded as Earl Fry, the pace of play was great.  Finished in 4 hours and I don't think getting a tee time will be a problem for a last minute round.

Everytime I come here there is something wrong.  This time clumps of cut grass left throughout the course and I don't mean here and there, they were EVERYWHERE.  My cart was filthy and had spider webs all over.  I should have learned my lesson by now, but for some reason I keep giving this place multiple chances.  If you go here, don't expect much, that way if they're having a good day you be pleasantly surprised.

The home of my third ever golf game...missing balls a lot less frequently now! (Although I'm not exactly ready to start keeping score.) The Boy Who Golfs says it's not as interesting a course as nearby Metropolitan and not as well groomed (even I can see that), but it's a lovely walk through old Eucalyptus trees and is almost half the price ($23 for regular play as opposed to $50). So I like it!

What can I say.... the best place on earth (the 94501) has it's own golf course (located on the 94502).  The only thing keeping this from 5 stars is that they won't deliver a nice cold beer to me at the driving range or while on the course  :)  but other than that, it's proudly an A-Town place!

Easiest golf course in the bay area. If you see someone coming at you down the wrong side of the fairway- get out of my way!

    Value: 4 stars, $40 for a weekend 18 is a great deal
Course: 2.5 stars, a simple and effective layout.  The greens were in awesome shape when I went, the course is very wide open and it is hard to get into trouble - from the back tees it is a decent challenge but still a pretty easy course.
Other: We got around in 4.5 hours on a Sunday morning which seems to contradict every other post on here!  Not sure how unusual this was.

Overall: Nice course for a high handicapper or a casual round - in good shape and a great deal.

This course gets 3 stars for the course itself.  It's nothing special, but gets the extra star for the value.  Compared with many of the courses in the area, the weekend rates are a great value.  Also, I often want to walk on as a single, and with two courses open that's rarely a problem.  It will get slow on weekends, but that is a given when playing any muni in this price range, I like getting out early to avoid this.
