I have been through the RINGER when it comes to hair. My last stylist whom I was with for 5 years cut a CHUNK out of the front of my hair the week of my wedding and then did not even bother to poitn it out or fix it before I left the chair. It only became apparent how bad it was once I went home and had a meltdown. I actually had to totally change my hairstyle the week of the wedding to accommodate the horrible hair cut. Following the honeymoon, I went to someone else with the desire to dye my hair brunette so as not to mess with blond highlights anymore because of all of my hair tribulations and I walked out with JET black hair that made me look like a washed out goth, which is not an attractive look in your 30s.

I found Keenan on Yelp and he brought me in that day to do a full assessment and was totally legit with me and did not try to sell me anything. Just told me how I could take care of my hair and what I would need to do to remedy the situation. He even threw in a free deep conditioning treatment. He had another client there who told me of how Keenan saved her from a hair disaster and gave her a cut that allowed her to embrace her curls.

Following his advice, I went back to him a few weeks later with thick healthy hair that had indeed faded as he said. He threw in some highlights and touched up the roots so that my hair looked like it was supposed to be that way. In fact, I have had a number of people tell me I look better now than I have ever looked.

Bottom line, if you are a hair scaredy cat, Keenan is SUPER knowledgeable and tells you EXACTLY what he is going to do so that you feel comfortable with what is occurring and walk out of there feeling great. Not to mention, he is hilarious and super easy to pass three hours in the chair with. HIGHLY recommend Keenan!!

I'm one of those people who has always been so impatient to actually get a hair cut that I just embraced the I'm-not-a-pro-but-I'm-going-to-cut-my-own-hair-any way thing. I used to be of the mind that if no one could capture my vision at the salon, I'd be better off to spare the tears and take up some shears on myself.

Fortunately, I shall cut no longer because Kimmie Chi has artfully taken my former vision and made it something newer and more chic than I could ever do myself.

Of course, she had the task of finding balance to my self-chopped asymmetrical hair, but did so with a confidence that you just have to respect. Having an asymmetrical cut herself, you know she can handle unconventional styles with flare.

As her previous client was leaving, it was just the two of us in the salon and we chatted a bit as she surveyed my coif. After asking me with an unflinching calm, "do you trust me?" she began to chop away for a more stylized me.  Her assertions were bold, "people are seriously going to stop you on the street," and fortunately, they were absolutely and positively true.

A few tips:
- should you not know what you want to do with your look, trust her because she will assess your lifestyle, the styling tools you have at home and the amount of time you want to spend on your hair each day.
- Come prepared with cash for tips because you might miss the little sign at the front desk that calls for cash tips only!

CHROME IS MY NEW HAIR HOME!

The staff is lovely, the quality of cut is great and the salon itself is super cute -  It also helps that the stylist who cut my hair, Berette (sorry if I spelled her name wrong - I already handed her card out to my co-worker who loved my cut and color extensions!) share the same alma mater as me - GO TROJANS!

For two years I have been in search of a salon where I feel comfortable and where I can trust my locks.  Berette not only consulted with me about the best way to begin shaping my short hair, but also suggested an alternative to the pricey hues I wanted to add - purple, blue, and blonde.  Turns out, Berette does extensions!  How awesome, now I can get $3/strand colors without breaking my bank or my hair follicles.

I will definitely be returning here for all my future hair needs.

I called Chrome hair salon today for a hair cut and Keenan answered the phone, and despite of being busy he said come in. (BTW I only went there based on the reviews on yelp.) So I went in waited for a bit as he was finishing up a hair cut. I was not disappointed!! I have been disappointed pointed in the past but Keenan did a great job!! Four stars because it's a little pricey.

I dont want to sound too cocky, so I apologize if it comes across that way but honestly, I have the best hair! I cannot take credit though, I would like to thank Kimmie at Crome Salon and my Mom for great genetics. I would like to share my hair wealth with the world, if you want what I have then go see Kimmie at Chrome, she is a truly talented stylist. Check out my pics and you will see what I am talking about. Thank you Kimmie, you make me beautiful!! Did I mention she way undercharges....and the fridge is stocked. Win win for everyone xo

I've been following Kimmie wherever she goes. Currently, she's at Chrome. This place is great, has a cool vibe, and the other staff is friendly too, but when it comes to hair, Kimmie is my gal. She's amazing. Only person that can handle my crazy thick and frizzy mane. Best hair cuts I have ever gotten. If you come to Chrome, be sure to set your appointment with Kimmie. She is well worth the $!!!

I have been searching for a new stylist since I moved out to LA 4 years ago...I'm super picky when it comes to hair.  They have either been good but too expensive or awful and cheap.  So I did some research and because of all the great yelp reviews, I decided to try this place out.

When driving to this place, it's a bit easy to miss, I had to U-turn around to get to this place.  There is plenty of metered street parking in front.  The place was super cute, very clean considering it's a salon.  Great color scheme inside.  The receptionist was very sweet and got me something to drink.

I decided to go with Kat as my hair stylist and she was AMAZING! For one, she was on time, extremely friendly, super sweet, and is a great hairstylist.  When I first sat down, we talked about what I wanted and she gave me her honest opinion on if it would work with my hair type and face shape, we discussed and came to a conclusion.  I got an A line bob with textured bangs.  She did exactly what we discussed and it looked great.

The cut was $50, which is super cheap for me and I loved every part of my experience here.  I can't wait for my next haircut.  I'm so so glad that I've finally found a new hairstylist.

I have been so nervous about trying a new hair salon ever since I moved to los angeles.. I literally haven't gotten my hair cut in a year and a half. I finally said OK.. gotta get over it! After reading all the reviews on yelp, I picked Chrome. Kimmie Chi was the only one working on Sunday and she kindly made me an appointment to come back later in the day. Yippee. She was amazing! Great company and great haircut! =)

Okay ladies,
I am a natural dark haired beauty.  I adore my dark hair but I wanted to lighten up the harshness by adding few caramel highlights to "warm" the color up and enrich it.  My favorite girl Tai (pronounced Tea) left Chop Chop Salon and privatized her services.  She was hands down the best stylist.  So I researched to find just the right fit.  I read all of the glowing reviews about Keenan at Chrome.  When I met him he was totally receptive and seemed to really understand that I wanted highlights to warm my hair color rather than to change the color.  He explained "molecules" and color saturation- I bought into it- the fact that he knew what he was doing.  However after bleaching my dark hair, the result was an ash blonde color that looked green against my skin tone.  In addition, the entire color of my hair was changed NOT enriched.  He wore blue tinted sunglasses the entire time he worked on my hair including the cutting portion, then returned with a cowboy hat! I was floored.  My hair was so damaged the ends where shredded after a haircut! I immediately left Chrome and drove to 3rd street and Fairfax in hot pursuit to correct the color.  I did not trust him to correct the color.  He kept saying how good it looked and everyone in the salon seemed to notice the horrific color.  Anyhoos I found Taboo Salon.  Erin was gracious enough to pity my plight and told me the best he could do was tone my hair with a vegetable toner because he did not want to further damage it.  At the same visit I asked Shayla the cut person to recut my hair because it was not falling in a layered type of look.  She went through my hair and after slightly recutting my hair she  gave me a hand held mirror to show me the reason my hair was not falling correctly, surprise it was because Keenan "butchered" (her words not mine) my hair in the thickest part (the middle and the bottom ends) was sparse!  I have naturally thick hair but the bottom end was so sparse I could see through to my shirt!  She asked if I wanted to continue with the "rocker" style in which Keenan had cut my hair, which would be a resulting mullet rocker chic- cool if that is your style but definitely not mine.  Subsequently Erin asked me to return in one to two months so he could actually address the color issue but for the moment he would gently darken my locks to avoid the Hulk effect.  I have returned and my GOD the color is gorgeous.  It is the exact color I asked Keenan for.  Erin was a professional i.e. he did not wear sunglasses to color my hair.  After my experience I questioned the authenticity of the "glowing" reviews.  I decided that I would actually join Yelp to give you guys my very real very awful experience.

I have been looking for a new stylist for a while and I have finally found her! Her name is Anna and she is terrific. She works efficiently and is super nice and mellow.

I explained the haircut I wanted and not only did she do what i asked for, she made my hair look even better than I imagined! That doesn't sound like a big deal but to any woman who has had a nightmare scenario at the salon like I have, it is just what I was looking for. She does great color too.  Cut was only 55 bucks!

Go here. It's a friendly place that does good work.

the service here is great. i go to raquel kiss, and she always does a great job. another thing i will say is since i live around the corner, i usually walk here and bring my dog. i leave him outside, and both times i've been to chrome they have been so nice to him. the first time they went out and pet him and gave him water and lavished him with attention while i got my hair done. they even came in and got me when he got out of his collar!

the second time i went, a crazy lady actually came in and yelled at me for my "inhumane" treatment of the dog. she gave me an ultimatum that if she saw him on the sidewalk in 5 minutes she would call animal services. everyone at chrome was APPALLED at her behavior, they were so great to me, let me put my dog out back (which, one of the hairdressers told me, is where she puts HER dog) and went on doing my hair like it never happened.

i suppose that was more of a dog review than anything, but i think it says that the people at chrome are friendly, hip, and real, and that it just wouldn't be LA without its share of crazies.

minus one star only because the prices are ENORMOUS. but whatev. i'm a fan.

Raquel:  You do a fantastic job on my hair.  I get constant compliments on the cut and the highlights.  Even after a month or two.  You really listen to what I would like my hair to look like and do an excellent job making that happen.  I appreciate that you don't charge me an arm and a leg for said haircut and partial highlights, and also do not charge for bang trims (which other salons are starting to do).  And I really appreciate the laid-back atmosphere of the salon.  I have recommended you and the salon to my friends, and they agree.  Parking is ample on the side streets and with the money I have saved going to you, I can go down the way after my cut and get a beer and a burger at Father's Office.

Thank you.

I wandered in here just needing a simple bang trim, and Berit really took care of me! I thought she would just give me a quick snip snip and be done, but that was not so.  She really took the time to play around with my bangs, thin them out on one side, and re-examine her work.  An expert job for a mere $5!
I am definitely returning for a full blown haircut.  haha. pun intended..

These 5 stars go out to the really cute and sweet girl working at reception who helped me shop for a companion Christmas present for my lady friend just a couple days before Christmas.

My barber Trent from Shorty's in WeHo (best haircut for a dude under $30 on the Westside...ladies if you're looking for a place to send your man) told me to head to Chrome to find some Bumble and Bumble products for her. Seeing as I don't really know a whole lot about hair products, but yet, I own a lot of them, I thought it wouldn't hurt to give it a shot.

I went into Chrome and clearly didn't have an appointment, but the super fun girl at the door started axing me some quesshuns about what I was looking for and what kind of products, hair, etc. I thought would work for my main squeeze. I really didn't know what I was talking about, so she kept making the questions easier and easier for me, which I thought was really nice. She knew I was on a little bit of a budget since I had spent a good deal on her already, so she didn't try and upsell the crap out of me (but she probably could have... I am such a guy sometimes...), which I really appreciated. I walked out with three products for right around $50, which was exactly what I was trying to spend.

The girl was really nice and the bathroom, while small, smelled delicious. Even if you took a mean dump in there, I think it smells so good that when you opened the door, people wouldn't notice. I think.

I'm a huge fan of Berit. She knows how to work with my ridiculously thick hair (not always the blessing one might think), and she does a great job with my color. She always listens to what I want, and I wind up walking out with a look that's even better than I had imagined.

The only downside is that parking can be tricky. Take change, and pay attention to when you last fed your meter.

Thank you yelpers for recommending this place for me!  I wanted to do an a line bob, which i have never done before.  So I was nervous and wanted a place that knew what they were doing.  They were so great! I made an appointment with Anna the day after I called.  She was awesome! She talked to me and helped me decide the best way to do this bob.  She also taught me how to fix it on a daily basis.

I was very happy with my haircut coming out of there! I looked amazing! It was a bit pricey for me ($65), but I don't regret it =)

I would go back again if I was doing a drastic haircut

I love my hair. I had not colored or cut my hair in an embarrassing long time. I yelped for help, I got lucky. I made an appointment with Kimmie. She was straightforward and honest, and recommended a new color that would not show my roots so quickly. She made sure I was ok, offered me something to drink, and offered me magazines to read. I was pleased, and will go back to her for sure.

Once again, Yelpers have come through for me!

For years I have been in search of a stylist who really, truly KNOWS curly hair.

Right up until I discovered Chrome via Yelp, I was sure that my hair would only be trimmed an inch every few months, maybe a blow-out depending on the weight of my wallet.  I mean, do you know how annoying it is to have all these stylists (and I use that term loosely) say: "oh my god. you've got a lot of hair" or "how about straightening it?" or  "you've got a lot of hair...like, a lot of curls" (imagine said random stylist saying this while gingerly touching my hair with a look of dread and confusion).

Not so with Jared!  That man knows what he's doing!  Trust.  With 18 years of experience with curls big and small up and down the West Coast, he knows what will work and what won't.  I will definitely be going back to him from now on!  Perhaps I'll venture out and get some highlights...

Before I go back to staring at the mirror, a few other things to note:

- The entire staff is friendly & accommodating.
- Although a relatively small space, it's got a clean & modern atmosphere.
- Try to set up an appointment on a Sunday (less people & free street parking).
- They carry a ton of Bumble & Bumble products.

I have been looking for a new stylist for awhile and after a few misadventures at other salons, ended up with Kat at Chrome. I was impressed with how much time she spent with me talking about what I wanted done before starting any work. She was knowledgeable and we hit it off immediately. She did a great job with my cut and colour - I have received compliments on both. I have very short hair and I picked her after reading on Yelp that she was excellent with short cuts. She was affordable and the salon is nice but not pretentious. So .... I have found a new salon home! Thank you Kat!

as soon as i start working & receiving a steady paycheck, i will crawl back to keenan, ask him to forgive me for getting $30 haircuts at rozinas and box dyeing the shit out of my locks, and be faithful to him for as long as i can be.

keenan is amazing. he really tries to get to know your hair and gives you a cut/color that suits your face and is comfortable for you at the same time.

i only wish i were a baller so i could afford his $200 highlights, or $120 color fixes.

moral of the story: if you have $$ and want a great cut from a friendly, personable stylist who will take his time and really make sure you leave his salon satisfied and happy, go to keenan.

I just gotta say Keenan is THE BEST!! I came in there with a color correction issue( after Isadora @ Hive in silverlake tried to fix/deal with my blond hair with 4 inches of roots! Don't ask). I realize my hair was a bit of a tricky issue, long dark roots, and all...but when I walked out Hive ( after 5 hours!!!) I had a color I did not want (an ugly reddish brown that faded to a greenish brown on the ends!!) and I was $140 poorer. My mistake for not going back the next day for a refund, but I REALLY digress...fast forward to May7/09 and I'm in Keenan's chair At Chrome. After talking to me on the phone for a good long time, i made an appt. He explained exactly what happened to my hair, admonished me gently for not getting my money back, and told me my options. We decided to go with a pretty chocolate brown (to cover the green!) and suggested I return in a month for some pretty gold/copper highlights. He is a real artist, KNOWS HIS SHIT about color, and gave me a darling cut to boot! My hair originally was a light honey blond, (very long, thankfully, so we had a lot to work with) then the Hive debacle, and now it's a pretty chocolate brown (think 1st season Eva Longoria...) and a little longer than shoulder length with some pretty long layers. I couldn't be happier!
Thank you Keenan King!!!

I've been seeing Berit for the last year and have recommended her to many who are now also loyal clients.  From personal and friends' experiences, I can't imagine any mane she can't tame.  I trust her for style, cut, color and engaging conversation.  She's the quintessential free spirited surfer girl who will rock your world with hair that will elicit remarks like, "How you doin', baby?" Ok, that only happened once to me.  Mostly, I just get asked where I got my hair did and the digits of my stylist.

Go see Rockin' Roger!
I've had very expensive hair cuts from expensive and fancy salons and
I've rebelled and have had hair cuts at the corner beauty parlor.
But, like Goldilocks ( I'm really a brunette) I've found a salon that's just right. I have coarse wavy thick hair and not everyone knows how to cut the pyramid shape out of my hair.
Chrome has unpretentious and really talented cutters. I like my hair long, layered and blunt cut, fairly normal and another client was getting leopard print on his bleached out crew cut.  They can do it all and the price is just right!

I HAVE CURLY/WAVY HAIR AND ANNA DID A GREAT JOB!
(curly-haired girls, I know this is important to you)

I went here based on 3 factors:
1. right by my house
2. good yelp responses
3. they squeezed me in on a Saturday

My stylist was Anna, and she was pleasant and very sensible. I had a picture of a dramatic cut that I was curious about. We talked about how much time I am willing to spend on my hair (about 0 minutes) and how much time that cut would require (many more than 0 minutes) and found a much more sensible option. I appreciate stylists that will stand up to me like that, lest I hold my hasty decision against them later...

I plan to go back again, specifically for Anna. Oh, the decor and price were what I was expecting. In case that's important to you.

As everyone else says, it's tough to find a great haircut these days...until now.  I was referred to Keenan at Chrome about a year ago, and have been going to him since.  He's the only stylist in LA that "gets it". Not only does he make for some fun and fascinating conversation, but he makes it a point to get to know you and figure out how your hair grows, and he takes it from there.  His haircuts always get me compliments, and is always quick to suggest a new direction to try with your hair.

I highly recommend making an appointment with him, and if you are into music, style, and travel, then  you are guaranteed a great conversation.

5 stars all the way!

It seems like a chore to find a decent haircut in LA. I'm sure there are many, but I'm not driving across town in a city such as LA where there's a plastic surgeon and tanning salon next to your local Coffee Bean.

Located in beautiful downtown Culver City, Chrome is an adorable place. Jared was recommended to me by a coworker. He did exactly what I asked. EXACTLY. He suggested ways of styling it so that it would look as good as it did when I walked out of the Salon. And the price is great! $50 bucks for exactly what you want in a haircut is a well-spent $50 bucks.

I'm going back this weekend for another cut. Sundays are great there... very low-key and casual. I watched a few of the other stylists work and I would feel comfortable getting my haircut from anyone of them.

Melinda cuts my girlfriend's hair and now she cuts mine too, and she is the best.  She does an excellent job and communicates well -- I didn't think I knew what I wanted when I came in, and she talked me through it until we were right on the same page.  What she did looked better than anything I've had in years.  And she is super-cool and nice and pleasant to talk to - I felt like I'd already known her for years on my first visit.  Thanks Melinda!!!!

Roger, the owner, has been doing my hair for the last year and it's never looked better. It's also more healthy than ever. He does great highlights that look natural and blend very well with the natural color.
His hair cuts are very good too. He listens to what I want and offers great ideas. Between the two, I end up with a great looking, easy to manage hairstyle that always gets compliments.
He also does my boyfriend's hair and does a great job!
In addition, Roger is a really nice guy.
Yay Roger, you rock!!

Chrome is a classy, trendy salon full of talented stylists who aren't one bit stuck up or snobby.  I called to make an appointment with either Roger or Melinda, who are the owners of the salon, and I got in with Melinda on fairly short notice.  I was a bit nervous, because I didn't have anybody's recommendations to go off of, and I have really thick, wavy, difficult hair....I can't have just anybody chopping at it!

It turns out that I had no need to fear, because everything came out exactly as I imagined.  Melinda took the time to listen to what I wanted, and she was also willing to give suggestions, which I definitely appreciate.  My cut and highlights turned out beautifully, and I will definitely be scheduling another appointment with either her or Roger (although every stylist seemed to turn out great results)!  They also had a tea bar in the salon, which I thought was a cool touch...you get the full VIP treatment without any pretensiousness!

On another note, there was an insane amount of people coming in to get waxing done while I was there...at LEAST one every 10-15 minutes.  Apparently waxing is their other specialty, so check them out if that is your thing!

After searching around Los Angeles for the past year or so for a solid place to get a haircut, and I think I've finally found it in Chrome.

Roger was knowledgeable and competent and knew exactly what I wanted with only a few comments from me.

I'll definitely be going back for my next cut.

I have been loathe to write a less than stellar review for Chrome so I held off on writing anything at all but after three visits (two of which with less than great results) I feel compelled to do this. My hair has been cut and colored by Roger all three times and while he's fairly good at cutting, his color skills leave much to be desired (at least as far as I'm concerned).

I have to disagree with Jessica, Roger is NO "King of Blondes." I asked for fairly simple highlites both times; the first time, he gave me hot roots (a bright shade of orange) and the second time he managed to foil the entire top of my head but, lo and behold, when my hair was dry, I discovered there were no highlites whatsoever but my overall color looked more brassy than before. I contacted him but he gave me some b.s. about my color not lifting properly because it had been previously colored. I went to another colorist and my hair lifted to a light blonde (and even platinum in some places) with no issue.

Roger is a really great guy but I just don't trust him with my color anymore. I would have liked to continue getting my hair cut by him but I don't think that's going to happen after this review ;). Oh well, such is the price for honesty, I suppose. The colorist who worked on my non-existent  "highlites" gasped in shock and said that whoever cut my hair last (Roger) had managed to texturize down to the scalp. I did let Roger use a razor to cut my hair and thought it looked pretty good at the time but I was unaware of the fact that he shredded some pieces to scalp length!

I do have to say that Roger *may* be the King of Redheads though. While in his chair, I saw him create the perfect shade of bright auburn on the lady next to me.  So if you are a redhead, Chrome may be the salon and Roger may be the stylist for you!

The prices are fair and the staff is really friendly and easy going. I may just be overly picky or have difficult to work with hair. I've had a precious few truly GREAT color experiences but I know I'm not difficult to please since all I ask for is woven highlites on my naturally dark blonde hair (or medium to light blonde when I dye it, in any case, fairly simple since I've highlited my hair at home with little issue).  In short, I'm still looking for the "King of Blondes" but from my experience, Roger ain't it!

Thanks Everyone for such a great recomendation!!! I went to Chrome Salon today for the first time and I couldn't be happier.  I made appointment with Keenan after reading all the rave about him and I must agree with all the previous reviewers~  He is absolutely WONDERFUL!!!  I don't normally write reviews unless I'm extremely satified or extremely unsatified. So you could understand how great of an impression Keenan made on me that I decided to spend the time to register onto Yelp and leave a review.   He really really knows what he is doing, which is fantastic since most of the time I don't even know what I want.  I gave him nothing but a couple of keywords and he did the rest.  He looked at my hair and he knew what to do.  That was such a relief because I was really getting sick of going to a salon and they would try to get me to explain exactly what I want when I just want them to tell me what would work for me...they are the experts right? and He talked me through every step of the way so there are no suprises.  My whole experience there was A+++  I'm so happy that I found "my stylist".  The hair cut I got was more than I could of wished for.  Though my Nose didn't get any smaller, he sure did work his magic with my hair :P (a little inside remark :P)  Thanks Keenan!  Can't wait to get my hair colored from you soon!!!

Oh!  And did I mention how comfortable he makes you feel?  He is the best!!!  If you don't have a stylist yet, you have to contact him!

My friend is very particular about her hair and time management so when I saw her gorgeous hair color and cut I asked her who was the person behingd it. She said go see Keenan so I made an appointment and after a detailed consultation and great color and cut, I have been happily seeing him for almost 2 years.

Keenan is a true mensch, a master of the scissors and color charts and will not only give you a kick ass looking head of hair but will also be on time and get your hair did w/o having to spend hours upon hours in the salon.

Sounds, too good to be true but believe me, this man is the real deal and my hair hasd never looked better. Keenan is the best!

I've gotten my hair colored with Roger several times since I've move to LA on the recommendation of my bikini waxer (see Queen Bee). He's a great colorist who she claims is the "King of Blonds."  He listens to what you want and does a great job showing you how to style it on your own when he's done. The salon has a great laid back vibe, and beverages (both non and alcoholic) are available for you to sip. If I remember right, they have a small kegerator :)

The prices are very reasonable for highlights and haircut for the kind of salon it is. I know what becky d. means by being shocked by the price tag, but I've found that they're right in the price range you should expect for a quality cut and color.

My only small issue is that Roger never seems to want to cut my hair. I'll ask him "can we do a cut and highlights" and when he's done with the highlights he'll ask how I want my hair cut, and I'll go into a small explanation of what i want/expect out of my hair cut. His reply twice has been "Well when you're ready and know what you want we can cut it" which I found to be odd and a little off-putting.

In summation: great for color and style, but keep someone for haircuts on the side.

I have been going here since i moved out here 3 years ago... i used to have short hair, and i'm growing it out, and they have ALWAYS kept me looking put together regardless of the "in between" hair growth. Raquel is my hairdresser now. Jared was mine before he moved to like OREGON or where. Both were AMAZING. It ROCKS!

Thanks for a great haircut Julie!

A couple months ago I got a botched haircut from Vidal Sassoon Academy (I have gotten some great cuts there, but this wasn't one of them).  After trying to grow it out and being miserable all the while (it was bad enough that at one point I was led to tears; sad, but true), I knew it was time for a good shaping.  I couldn't take the pain anymore and had put aside an ad I saw for Chrome and Julie, who is Vidal Sassoon trained. This is a good thing!
I made an appointment for a Friday afternoon and was pleasantly surprised at how mellow it was in there. The music was not loud and there were  four stylists there.  Julie was right on time and immediately made me feel comfortable. She sat me down to get the low-down on my hair. Being a hair stylist myself, I knew what needed to be done to fix it and she completely understood what I wanted.  She was really nice and especially sympathetic. I was encouraged that her hair looked like mine did before the tragic cut. Anyway, she gave me a great cut and I am not kidding when I say I feel like a million bucks.  A good/bad cut makes all the difference in the world.
Note: It would be great if they had a receptionist. I know what its like to get busy with clients and it would be a great idea to have someone to take calls and tend to the clients. That being said, I did not have any problems getting in touch with Julie. Just know that each stylist has their own contact number and will get back to you as soon as they can.
