""World's Healthiest Donuts" - HAD to try this place out. Was visiting a friend who just bought a condo up the street and he suggested we…" read more »
My husband and his colleagues highly recommended this dough nut store. Today we had a BBQ party. We bought two dozen of Custard Filled Dough Nuts. And it's only $5.00! $2.50 a dozen?!
Just after we bought it, I tried one. It was really nice, very fresh. When we were in a party, a few hours later, i tried one again. It was not that fresh . There is really some difference in taste. I never know that "fresh" is also important to a dough nut. :P
Anyway, it's a nice store. The service is good. They have those pink boxes for to-go, good for a party gift. :)

I enjoyed the chocolate old fashioned doughnuts the most. The cake donuts were a little too thick for my tastes. The original, glazed, sugared, and cinnamon doughnuts were also nice.
So far, the doughnuts have been sufficiently fresh in my past 3 visits
The lady normally gives you extra donuts if you come after 3 pm (I haven't tried coming earlier than that). I came once at 4:45 pm and although the selection was limited at that point, she gave me 9 doughnuts for $3
The custard filled dough nut holes were bomb but the chocolate ones sucked. I came here because I was craving a blueberry glazed dough nut. They had a blueberry dough nut that was dry and not glazed. The taste was so blah I threw it out. If any of you know of a great tasting blueberry glazed dough nut holla back!
Their custard filled donut holes are amazing. I'd give Christy's 5 stars solely for them, but I find one thing quite bothersome. Pistachio ice cream =/= green tea ice cream and should not be labeled as such.
i got the apple fritter, but it had no real apples! sucks...but it was a generous portion! i also got the donut holes with the custard filling inside. that was very good. a very cheap place. i bought 4 donut holes and 1 apple fritter for $2.25 or something
+ donut holes. donut holes. donut holes. Be sure to come when the donuts are nice and fresh, quick place to get a regular old cup of joe and a classic donut.
+ i haven't tried the bagels, but they sure as heck look delicious! banana nut, regular, blueberry, they all look freshly baked
- flaccid crossaints though. ew.
My family has been going to this donut shop for several years now and they have pretty good traditional donuts along with different varieties of croissant sandwiches.
I had one bad experience with a blue berry muffin I purchase about two years ago. I usually save the top of the muffin to eat last so I peeled off the cupcake wrapper and took a bite of the muffin bottom. As I was chewing away, I looked back down at the muffin and saw a mess full of mold! I quickly spit the the remnants out.
I went back to Christy's to complain. I motioned the employee toward the back and handed him the muffin. He took it in his hands, took a good look at it, startled, he dropped the muffin on the counter.
For the trouble, all he did was reimburse the cost of the muffin which was a dollar something.
I avoided this place for about two years. I ended up using their services again because my family likes them so much.

Screw all the bagel shops and Krispy Kremes. They got nothing on this place. All the traditional donut classics in one little shop. Bear claws. Check. Donut holes. Check. Frosted Donut with nuts. Check. Even if you want ice cream in the morning with your donut, they got that covered.
Plus, you gotta love a business that helps out the community.

This is a place where you can go for your daily morning fix for:
1. donuts
2. breakfast croissant sandwiches
3. Coffee
4. and Cigarettes (Yes, Stogs!)
I used to live down the street from this place and used to get my morning fixes before I go to class during college days. I give the chocolate donut holes 4 rubs on my belly. I can buy a dozen or two of these and just snack on them throughout the day (I know i'm bad).
The breakfast croissants are tasty but they're a bit greasy so I only give them 3 rubs. I stopped buying them because they would always fall out of the grease-soaked paper bag and ends up on the ground.
Coffee is your average "cup of joe" so I just get a small bottle of orange juice.
So if you are in the hood and in the mood for CHOCOLATE FILLED DONUT HOLES, make sure you pass by and grab a dozen for $2.00. You won't regret it.
My first experience with Christy Donuts was today. Today my wife brought home some custard filled and chocolate creme filled donut holes. She got 2 dozen custard filled donut holes and a dozen chocolate filled donut holes. Wow!! 36 filled donut holes for 6 dollars. With donut holes that cheap, you buy them just to get rid of those singles in your wallet. Then you're left with a bunch of donut holes that you can't eat.
Back to the filled donut holes. The chocolate creme ones are okay. They could use a little more chocolate flavor. The custard ones were better. Why do they call them donut holes. Christy's are shaped more like cubes. Christy's got 3 stars just because at 3pm in the afternoon, the donut holes were just average. Now maybe if I got them in the morning when they were really fresh, I would give them 4 stars.
My favorite donut shop. Everything is fresh. I usually get the sugared donut. It's a little crunchy outside and super moist inside. Perfect donuts are made here! The staff is nice.
It's all about the chocolate creme donut holes. Mmmmm ...
