I've gone there three or four times by now.  Billy Ray does my highlights/lowlights and he is THE BEST.  I keep my hair dark but he manages to get so much color and contrast in there and my hair always comes out so shiny and vibrant.  He is very talented.   I have good healthy hair to begin with, but it doesn't really have much rich color to it.  Billy changed all of that.  My hair is perfect chocolate with a little golden here and there.

I really can't say enough about his color, highlight and lowlight skills.  I've been consistently getting complimented on my hair color ever since I started with him.  I will be devastated when he gets promoted because I will no longer be able to afford him.  I won't stop going I just won't be able to go as often...

As for the salon, it's nice.  I got a haircut there once and it was fabulous but the girl got promoted and I went back to my regular, cheaper hair cutter.  Everyone at the salon seems nice and professional.

They're getting 4 stars instead of five because one time they mixed up my appointment by a week and I made the trip over for nothing!

I'm a bitch. I make fun of South Florida and people who dress down. And, I have nothing bad to say about Billy-Ray. He's is one of the best colorists. Ever. The man just knows what he's doing. I'm about to go back to him for a third time. He's not a risk-taker. He wants you to look good. If you're 50 and into bleaching out your hair-- go to The jersey Shore Salon.  Billy won't do it.
The best part about Billy is he's a flat 90 bucks! (Until he gets promoted). Tip him well, ladies! He's worth it.

Karen did my highlights here and I'm very happy. I told her what I wanted, she listened, and I came out with a great, natural look. She is confident and nice and knows what she's doing. I'll be back.

I have been going to Christopher Stanley for a few years and I love how they color and cut my hair.  Maria is definitely my colorist of choice - she is sweet, funny, attentive - she really listens to what you want.  Whether it's highlights, or taking your color from dark to light, she really works hard to give you exactly what you want, and make sure it looks good.

For coloring my curly locks, Maurecio (the apprentice) can't be beat.  He's nice and also listens to what you want.  The rest of the staff is always friendly and upbeat (Miguel at the front desk is a trip).

Highly recommended!

FINALLY!  The search for the perfect shade of highlights and the perfect cut are over!  (And you know how demoralizing it can be to pay hundreds of dollars just to walk out of a Salon with orange hair.)

The maestro? The magic-maker? Mark at Christopher-Stanley Salon. Put him in your address book and treasure it.

I came to Mark bedraggled, after 2 years of chemical processes had reduced my naturally straight hair to a frizzy rat's nest, and inept highlighting technique had created a dayglo blonde, chunky-stripey effect that would look right at home in a trailer park. What I liked to call "nuclear reactor blonde." That's just not a good sign. But hallelujah, in came Mark to save me! He brought me back from nuclear to human, and actually made me look like I might have been born with this color. And I can't believe how long I can go between appointments without ever having noticable roots.

Not to mention that this is probably the best hairCUT I've had in 10 years. Mark got the ultra-precise, '60s mod blunt bang look exactly right, putting my prior hairdresser to shame. I've been getting compliments on it ever since. Thank you, Mark!

A year ago, I got a job, no longer needed to look professional and finally decided I was going to go blond.  I had always wanted to, blonds seem to have more fun, and I was a deep dark brunette.  I felt that spending the extra money to go somewhere fancy was worth it for this drastic change.

I somehow found this place, made an appointment with Mark and had a great experience.  They really did a nice job -- turning my locks golden.  I also got a cut, which I'm not good at rating since I have curly hair and cannot tell a good cut from a bad cut.

Unfortunately, the place is really pricey.  And, I felt that after the first time I came they sort of pawned me off on their assistants rather than doing me themselves.  Maybe I didn't tip enough?

Otherwise, this is a very nice salon I stopped coming because I found another place cheaper, but when I could afford this place they were great.

[NOTE: I'm poor, so if you have the money I think coming here is worth it.]

STANLEY IS MAGIC WITH THE SCISSORS & HIGHLIGHT SOLUTION!!

Not only is time spent with Stanley a total joy - but he does the best job with cuts and color! In fact, the two years I lived in NYC some of my closest friends didn't even know that I got my hair highlighted (talk about magic!). And Stanley's cuts are awesome - impeccable, fresh cuts that are always perfect (never had a bad or mediocre one!).

PLUS, Stanley is just one of the nicest people. My only regret is that I'm now 3000 miles away!
