Look, your job sucks and your boss tells you to roll over to South Gate and attend a meeting at a paper mill.  You tell him you'd like to leave early to "beat traffic," when you know full well you're just going to arrive early, sit in your car and feel sorry for yourself.  Which, coincidentally is better than being at work.  

Around this time the hunger pangs strike. But, unfortunately Atlantic Ave isn't the most culinary friendly street in Southern California.  Just in the nick of time you see a place that reminds you of that sweet nether period between the 1970's and the 1980's.  Kind of like what the seniors in Dazed & Confused would have been living 2 years after that movie took place.  

You say fuck it this place is called Chris's Hamburgers and my name is Chris.  You order a pretty damn good Western Cheeseburger with fries and it costs you less than $5 and for about 20 minutes you just hang out staring at the orange walls thinking about how sweet your life would be if it was 1979.
